KDIGGZ Posted January 15, 2018 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Hard to get excited about this hire. Those that like it want to believe he is some innovative young college OC. He called plays for 1 season at the college level and if you are excited about that then you didn't watch any Alabama football. I literally did not want to watch them many times because of how boring their games are. He is way more NFL retread than anything, most well known as the OC of the worst offensive attack in the entire league for 2 seasons in Cleveland. He also quickly wore out his welcome in KC where many described his play calling as horrible. He has super bowl rings as an assistant with the Patriots. Everyone does. The guys that deflated the footballs do too. Even Vladamir Putin has one. Nothing exciting about that. If you are associated with the Pats you are going to get rings. Doesn't mean squat. The Bills needed an OC to bring an NFL level passing attack and make us a legitimate offensive threat. What we got is a retread with a horrible reputation for calling plays and whose only success was with a team that ran the ball every play and won with defense (sound familiar?). Pardon me for not being excited with this hire but we are going to regret this and we will be looking for another OC after next season. No one is throwing a ticker tape parade. I'm just not interested in having your whole "sorry if I'm too real for you" act. If you told Daboll you were bringing Moore in as a bridge he would tell you to take your job and stick it where the sun don't shine. He already coached Moore in 2011 at Miami. Kind of like an actor in movies doesn't quit to go do television. Alabama and innovative QB play with a strong passing attack go together like pickles and pizza. Did you not pay attention to the process this year? Its run the ball, control the clock, play good defense, get turn overs, win the turn over battle, win the game. I was responding to the poster saying they were boring. There are no style points in football. If my team wins its anything but boring IMHO. The disparate talent level is why I don't watch much College football. I don't like blowouts unless its the Bills doing the blowing out like the Raiders game this year at the Ralph. We all know that the Patriots will be losing both McDaniels and Patricia this offseason but as long as Mr "if your not cheating, then you're not trying hard enough" is still the HC then I don't see Buffalo beating the Patriots even without Brady. A guy with extensive experience working for the two best coaches in college and professional football -- with Buffalo roots -- who just spent a year familiarizing himself with the college game.
