Bills 1st round picks currently sit at #21 and #25

Recommended Posts

The draft order is based on where you exit.

With 3 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks they can draft people that will be important players next year.

With the 5 picks their needs are....

DL

OL

speed WR

LB

QB

DB

I see buffalo trading their later 1st down 5-10 spots and pick up a late 2nd or early 3rd.

Two 1sts a 4th and next years 3rd would get us a top 10 pick and still have 2 seconds and a 3rd in top 100 picks

Agree. Need to move up and take a risk on someone. If they want to win a Super a bowl that is.

horrible idea

Really? Two of the top teams in the afc in hou and kc traded small farms to move up and grab a qb last year. Do you think they regret it? They wouldve both made the playoffs if not for Watsons ACL. Same with Eagles n Wentz.

If we keep Tyrod for one more year, than i dont mind letting the draft fall to us and maximizing the picks we got witout trading any and jus stocking this roster.

This front office team* hates Tyrod and they will trade or cut, they have no loyalty to him even tho he is a team leader. With pick #21 projected to us, we would def need to trade up to get one of the top 3 qb franchise prospect this draft to replace him.

I wonder who will still be on the board at QB

Our best chance at QB is a second tier guy who falls and proves to be a starting talent.

This team has too many holes to give away the draft, Ditka style.

I got a Ricky Williams draft shirt that year from a mate OS, we’d made all these jokes about Ditka’s drafting and it’s hung around. Trading up for John McCargo we’d call Ditka’ing it.

And Marcel’s 6th Rd pick just became a 5th with Dareus on roster and Jags making Playoffs.

There are a bunch of okay fill-in QB's available this coming year.  I think the plan should be to pick up a stop-gap player to fill in for a year and go with a 2nd round pick for  a QB-in-training.   We need another year of rebuilding before looking at a SB type run.  http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21832292/2018-nfl-quarterback-dominoes-players-change-teams-offseason-why

I now say to draft a DT and a LB with the 1st two picks and use one of 2nd round picks and a player or another pick to move to the bottom of the 1st or top of the second to grab a falling QB. Who could that be? Don't have a clue. The other 2nd round pick goes to a OT/G.

1.  Maurice Hurst DT Michigan

1a. Micah Kiser ILB Virginia

2.(TRADE) Josh Allen, Ryan Finley or Mason Rudolph QB

2. Martinez Rankin OT Mississippi ST

3. Nick Chubb RB Georgia

4. Traded for 2nd round pick.

5. Christian LaCouture DT LSU

FWIW, Walter has Mason Rudolph as a 3-4 round prospect, I wouldn't mind burning a 2nd on him. Use both our firsts on BPA.

I'm still high on Rudolph, I just have no idea where he'll go, he is a polarizing prospect. One site says 1-2, the other says 3-4. Who knows? I'd really like him and I'd be lying if I said Lamar Jackson doesn't intrigue me, I covet QBs who can turn broken plays into 20 yard scrambles. We'll see.

I give the new admin kudos for a very solid draft. Not saying Beane overstepped the bounds but no doubt Coach was very much clued into Carolina's thinking. The trades, while surprising, have been vindicated.

Either the WR coach or Jones was a mistake and the two are related - Phil McGeoghan was Zay Jones's WR coach at Eastern Carolina and recommended him.  I do not think Phil McGeoghan was a good choice and he should have been signed as assistant WR coach and kept Sanjay Lal.

They did? Beane wasn't even here for the draft and McDermott barely knew more than a few of the college players, having been totally focused on the pro game for months before. After he got here, much of his time was spent reviewing his personnel and hiring a staff. So who do you think was responsible for the scouting and preparing the board and getting the contracts and budget in order?

Bull. Whaley followed his orders from McDermott and that's all.

You have no idea what McDermott knew about college players or what he did to spend his time when here.

My suspicion the Bills will have two picks in the 25-28 range

You mean after a 3rd loss to the Patriots

We have two picks each in the 1st three rounds of the draft.  Those six picks should be the cornerstone for this team for years to come that should include a QB

Not after the Kelvin Benjamin trade, we gave them a 3rd. But your point still stands. We have 2 1sts and 2 2nds, and are the ONLY team with 2 1sts that will be looking to move around (Cleveland also has 2 1sts, but with the #1 overall they dont need to trade up).

Even at #21 and #25, those 2 picks alone should get us into the top 10 according to the point chart (for whatever that's worth), throw in one of those 2nds and maybe a 4th next year or something, and we should be able to move up pretty far without selling the farm.
