  1. Those checkups are still nerve wracking and then you realise not to let it define you. Onwards and upwards.
  2. Single best decision that I’ve made, life improving.
  3. My ex-wife never made 1 of mine, actually the oncologist commented as much (made 5 years Dec 8th & my divorce came through Feb 24th this year).
  4. AFL, Collingwood Magpies. (Won the Premiership last year!)
  5. I remember his companions though! Always scary seeing Davros or a Dalek. was it Leila (?) and there was an episode with a black bottomless pit, the alien was like clingwrap, scary.
  6. Sorry, but the photo of the police starting at the ground, I thought they were looking at his eaten corpse!
  7. They’ve been concerned about San Andreas fault for years, seems another crack’s appeared.
  8. I recall the Tom Baker Dr. Who fondly. Was pretty young and used to be the kid that at 5.59pm when the episode would always end on a cliff hangar and that theme music would begin, always got me.
  9. I once was offered cocaine from a guy in the bathroom of a club when I was maybe 19. I laughed at him, saying you want me to buy something from a guy in a toilet! Worked in many clubs where the dealers would offer in exchange to stay. Did doors during the Underbelly years in Melbourne, drugs and drug shootings or beatings were common. It’s was pretty clear, even to Bobby Boucher, and that’s why we don’t smoke crack.
  10. I always remember working as a bouncer one Christmas at ‘the Coach and Horses’, a pub known for some trouble, close to several different patched bikie groups, outer suburb. It got brewing one year as 2 groups had their break up. The Security boss went and Christmas Carols on and started singing & in no time at all, the whole pub was drunk and singing carols with the boss conducting them. It started off with… it’s beginning to look like Christmas. So that song brings back that memory.
  11. https://youtube.com/@ausarmour?si=EBlduMPOnsOEDn43 This is an armour and artillery museum in Cairns, Australia. Amazing collection. Each week they post a video of restoration projects. They buy tanks in bits and pieces, from ranges, to finds out the back on a farm then restore them, often to running.
  12. Sepultura next month. Metal Church then in December. Kreator and Blind Guardian in February. I’d need to sell a kidney to afford Iron Maiden in September though, asking like $400 a ticket. Seen them plenty in the past will suffice. Ross the Boss is back next year too. Knotfest, Slip Knot’s festival is on again too in March. Last time was Slip Knot, Medgadeth, Parkway Drive, Amon Amath in the line up. This time I think Pantera is the only real headliner.
  13. Australia had a good outing v Denmark. Denmark became 1 dimensional very quickly into the game. Dominated possession but couldn’t capitalise on it or get themselves out of their own predictability. Being the (co) host nation, they’re dominating the media with each win.
  14. Finally worked out who’s pinching my Gold Fish.
  15. Give me a couple hours after. Good luck. Take a ☘️ if needs but luck as in Powerball or hope my pilot/ surgeon didn’t have a cracking nite last nite or luck as in opportunity meets preparation?
  16. Try watching it in Australia. Not only is it played upside down, but it starts at ridiculous times Monday morning. Yet, with 2 boys named after Bills, the ex-wife still doesn’t know that, I head off to the gym, walk the dog etc. secure in the fact I don’t own a T-shirt without Bills on it! I whinge like everyone after a loss, especially after THE season of promise. But I’m still wearing the colours that day and the next. I watch minimal TV and spend as much time as kids allow with them. The time spent on the Bills is a welcome distraction, what’s sports are supposed to provide us/ entertainment. Are you not entertained? BTW Minecraft is a no, shooting hoops a yes, shopping for clothes 🤮 but I’m there. Find the fun again.
  17. Victorian Parliament stops until every minister’s re-affirms loyalty to the new Monarch. There’s been some conflict with this as the Republican movement steps up, how do you declare loyalty to the Monarch and then want to remove the Monarch…. In the 1970’s the Queen’s representative, the Governor General sacked the Govt. of the day causing an election. Apparently the Govt. was going to sack the Governor General but he got in first, being the Queen’s representative. My understanding is that the ceremonial aspect is to simply ensure that the Govt. Is acting within the Westminster system lawfully and basically signs off on things when required. Not sure if there’s been another conflict to which they’ve said, nope, not signing that.
  18. The Republican movement here in Oz will kick of not long after his Coronation. Would likely be defeated if it was his son and daughter in law whom were ascending. Price you pay with un-elected Head of Govt.
  19. Cairns, FNQ. Weather. Fresh fruit and seafood.
  20. Maybe the blinking light was Morse code for “drive too fast, drive too fast”…
  21. https://www.econnex.com.au/brands/energy-australia/ I didn’t know my energy provider was a Marvel!
  22. https://www.onjcancercentre.org Melbourne City is being lite up in Pink for her tonite.
  23. A Bills v Packer game from the 90’s when Jeff Wright dominated and absolutely flattened Favre. Not sure why I remember that game.
