      Problems logging in?   11/05/2017

I know a few people are getting logged out too quickly. I don't have the answer to that yet.   However, one change that occurred is that there is no longer a log in name and a separate display name. The upgrade discarded the log in name and now uses the display name. So, to log in:   Username: <display name> Password: <your password>   If you need to contact me to find out what your display name is use: Contact Us  and we can get things sorted out.

The Best Buffalo Bills Player To Be "Wasted" In The Drought

Recommended Posts

Three years ago I thought Kyle was done with the foot problems he had. Now he is a wall of fame guy and the answer to your question.

However Schobel was far better than most on here give him credit and not that far behind Kyle.  Certainly had more impact plays than Kyle but not as consistent.

Peters is the best talent this team has had in 20 years.  Had he stayed he would have been behind only OJ, Kelly, Thurman, and Bruce Smith in the conversation of best Bills ever.

Im pretty sure marshawn was pretty wasted during his whole stint here

he loved Hennessy

Nice.

I say Kyle, no doubt. Way more years at a high level. Jason Peters a distant second? No one seemed to miss him at the time, don't know why. Moulds was super fun to watch, better than Lee Evans but shorter stint.

My first thought is nobody was wasted.  We really didn't have a standout.

But, if I had to pick a wasted talent due to a poor team, coach or plan, I would pick either..........

Shady or Watkins

I don't think these are good candidates.  Both went on to have very good careers with other teams

Peters spent a while at Buffalo, seemed like he made every pro bowl since starting. How was he ever a tight end? he's huge.

Lee Evans shouldn't be on the list. He just wasn't a very good player. More of a one trick pony. And he could only do that trick for a few years. If he was good  he would have stuck around beyond age 30. He only played 8 seasons in the NFL and I don't believe he retired due to injury.

A healthy Goodwin.

I think if that's the best five guys we can come up with in nearly 20 years, we know why the drought has gone on so long!

Is anyone else baffled at the amount of times Watkins has come up? Physically gifted for sure, but he is on pace for 41 catches this year.

Kyle Williams is the main guy for this.  Spikes and McCoy would be the other two but both played in other cities and made it to the playoffs.

Kyle Williams is going to be on the wall of fame one day. And he’ll have nothing else to show for his efforts unfortunately.

He made a couple Pro Bowls.

If were going actual production and not just talent/potential I would go in this order:

1. London Fletcher (Dude might make the HOF)

2. LeSean McCoy (Recent but dear god is he good)

3. Kyle Williams (Enough said)

4. Fred Jackson (Enough said)

I understand those who would say Marshawn Lynch but he really made his mark more in Seattle.

NOW If we going off of talent regardless of if they actually hit their full potential my list looks like this:

1. CJ Spiller (He had one season where we saw what he really could do and before and after that season Chan couldn't out how to use him enough. I really believe had he had the proper coach and injuries didn't effect him the guy could've been an all time great. Different team and offense and I believe his story is far different)

2. Kyle Williams (If he wasn't in Buffalo aon a team that makes the playoffs a lot he might be in the discussion for the HOF some day. His numbers were always good and his play had almost zero drop off for a decade)

3. Eric Wood (When an offense is good and the QB play is good the line gets credit fair or not. Wood has always played at a pretty high level and with a better QB I think it would've enhanced his career)

4. Antoine Winfield (BUF completely botched this thinking Nate Clements was the better player and not wanting to pay him money to stay here. Clements was decent, but Winfield turned into a Pro Bowl CB and had a far longer more productive career. If the Bills had kept Winfield they don't end up drafting McKelvin because Clements leaving after 06 forced that draft pick and wasn't worth the money he wanted, Winfield was.)

The Bills have been serving as a farm team for the rest of the league.  Lots of success for those leaving.  That has to stop to produce a winner here.  As far a Jason Peters, he willingly violated his contract with the Bills....and is a no good individual, his legal word is not good.  He deliberately laid down on the job to get traded.   There needs to be a good faith effort clause in these big contracts.  (J Byrd did the same and is also somebody I never want to see again in Buffalo as he is also low character)
