Uh, Guys...the real problem ain't the Offense...

We are looking at a historically bad defense for the Bills. Has any Bills team given up this many points in 3 successive games? 34, 47, and 54 points given up...granted, some of it was due to TOs, but holy cow, this defense is a sieve. Watching the Chargers' backup RB get a ten-yard running start before being touched is not good.

Poor pass rush, slow and under-sized LBs, and a decent secondary that can't carry the load.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Chiefs put a 60-burger on this squad next week.

You know...

it IS possible that both the offense and defense suck...

Possible?  Truth.

The D was awful today, stop one play please.  And O, score some points, Shady was on it for a few plays...

All of these defensive players were playing well when they had Marcell. People don't like it bit it's true. Bill had a formula. Play defense, score 20 points. Win games. McDermott read his own press and believe he was a football god. Well he ain't. He still needs players.

Beane and McDermott all both worst enemies.

I am afraid what talent they bring in..............

Other than KW95, who are the D-linemen?

Why are LBs covering receivers, and CBs are tackling runners?

How can a run up the middle go for 5+ yards EVERY. SINGLE. TIME?

How can a RB carry the pile for over 5+ yards?

Etc.., Etc., Etc.

So many things about this defense that I don't understand.

No...its a 3 game franchise record...shocking when you think back to how bad the D was under Wannstadt when Gailey was here that one year...

It was the always the defence since we let the jets gassed us for like 200 yards and than NO for another 300 yards.....everyone well just some here thought you change the QB and majico!!  we will win again.......same problems...today just started with the INT's on like every drive in the 1st half......sheesh.....put frigin Taylor in and fire Dennision would be a good thing and maybe scheme to our QB's positive traits instead of trying to make him into a pure pocket passer (which he is not)......there is no other option right now......and i dont and never will buy into the stupid theory of losing games and blowing a season for the draft.....

This is the most points the Bills have allowed over three games in a season since the final three games of 1976, when they gave up 130.

Yeah we keep on breaking records dont we.....its just backwards!

The problem is that NO side of the ball is playing well---or even a PART of one side of the ball...

They can't stop the run, they can't cover, they can't get off the field on 3rd downs, they can't get turnovers, they can't force a punt, they can't pass protect, they can't throw the ball downfield, they can't punt, they can't block on special teams...

The only good thing they are doing somewhat OK is run blocking for McCoy and that is spotty and covering kicks on special teams.  And Hauschka...

And that's not going to win many games...I don't care WHAT league you are playing in

To be fair to the defense, the did stop the first non pick-6 Nat Peterman int.

But then, ya know, they still had 3 more to go.

The first 20 points came off of turnovers... I mean, yea the defense can only do so much.

The D forced a punt late 3rd quarter or early 4th for the first time in 2 games.  That's on them!

O and D both suck!

Wow i can’t believe some people are actually making excuses for the defense.

How many receivers were running free all over the field on EVERY SINGLE PLAY?  They can't cover ANYBODY.

they do, but this defense is way worse

This is becoming reminiscent of the Wanny defense that gave up 52, 45, and 50 points in the same season. Granted, not all in consecutive weeks, but every week showed how bad the run defense (and pretty much the entire defense) was. Wanny & Chan kept insisting they had the right scheme, despite the opposite being blatantly obvious.

They were gone after that season.

Now, I wasn't terribly upset with having Keenan Allen on my fantasy team, but yikes.

I saw this while at the Tampa game - receivers are finding soft spots all over the place and everyone is WIDE open. It's almost like the opposing offense knows exactly what the defense will be doing on every play.
