You mean if they look bad, it's only preseason.

If they win big, we are going undefeated.

No, he's talking about the resident "realists" on the board, but for each group (optimists and pessimists) there are a few gems that always hold true for preseason:

If either the offense or defense look good, the pessimists will claim it's because the opponent was playing "vanilla" schemes and didn't game plan.

If either the offense or defense look bad, the optimists will claim the Bills didn't game plan and they're just trying to evaluate individual players.

You can count on all of this being posted after Thursday night's game.

Nah.

They've looked good in preseason only to suck in the regular season at times. And they've sucked in the preseason but looked better in the regular season at times.

Preseason means absolutely nothing. It's a complete waste to judge a team on the preseason. Individual performances, maybe.

preseason is for getting some live action and finding the last 4-5 guys to fill out the roster.

It's all about individual performances. Can you beat the guy lined up in front of you. That simple.

It's not a maybe for individual performances, it's a for sure.

There are players battling for positions on this and every team. This is a time for them to showcase.

Eric Wood: "We've started faster" (13:32)

Bills center Eric Wood discussed how the offense has progressed through training camp so far. He also talked about the advantages of returning all five offensive line starters from the previous year and how it helps the Buffalo run game.

Or the opposite, Darby looking like crap in preseason and then playing like the DROY. Preseason is pretty close to meaningless.

well executed counter blow. Darby was abysmal and Thought we were going to have another early Leodis to shade our eyes from.

Ron played very decently that first season

It's all about individual performances. Can you beat the guy lined up in front of you. That simple.

True enough. But as i read somewhere, this is the first "game This Coaching Staff has Ever Coached together.

So i think there will be a Coaches tape they review post Vikings. for real maybe.

lol.

11 11 11.

just remember that number Sean.Always get 11 on the the field. Not Ten, Nor Twelve. and thirteen is right out

Can't believe the Bills play their first (preseason) game tomorrow!

Super excited to see what the offense and defense look like. I'm not expecting them to show much, but it'll still be exciting none the less.

I'm just so happy football season is here (just about, anyway).
