No, he's talking about the resident "realists" on the board, but for each group (optimists and pessimists) there are a few gems that always hold true for preseason: If either the offense or defense look good, the pessimists will claim it's because the opponent was playing "vanilla" schemes and didn't game plan. If either the offense or defense look bad, the optimists will claim the Bills didn't game plan and they're just trying to evaluate individual players. And they've sucked in the preseason but looked better in the regular season at times. Preseason means absolutely nothing. It's a complete waste to judge a team on the preseason. The way some players perform has some merit. Not like Shady, KW, Hughes, Watkins etc....we know what they can do. Ron played very decently that first season It's all about individual performances. Can you beat the guy lined up in front of you. That simple. True enough.
