Well, my next advice is to make sure you always go all in on an inside straight draw. Either that or stick to "War".

"War" can get pretty complicated. I'd suggest sticking to "Go Fish".

Trump is smart in that he is playing "poker" not with his own money, but the American publics.

He wants to raise taxes. Tax us into prosperity. Tax and spend on farm welfare.

You might have a good case for suing your mother. Dropping you on your head was pretty careless.

At least I didn't turn out as a Trumptard.

Was that paint chips you think that caused that?

China may stop purchasing US agricultural products and energy, reduce Boeing orders and restrict US service trade with China. Many Chinese scholars are discussing the possibility of dumping US Treasuries and how to do it specifically.

This was a direct result of his actions. How was the growth of the economy this past ten years his doing? You can't answer that question

They weren’t his doing. They were Bush’s doing. ?

But seriously the economy didn’t really grow until the Orangemanbad took over.

Quote

“President Trump’s efforts to calm investors while he launches a full-scale trade war with China showed signs of cracking Monday, as one of his top advisers admitted the approach could damage the U.S. economy, a Goldman Sachs report predicted it might lead to higher interest rates, and China vowed to impose tariffs on $60 billion in U.S. goods on June 1.”

Almost get the feeling that the clown who ran several casinos into the ground is doing the same thing here...

I’ve never seen people so anxious to see a guy screw up as Tibs and his friends on the Left. These clowns have been wrong in every single prediction since before the election and yet they get right back up to the plate and keep right on swinging. Even a blind squirrel finds the occasional nut but so far all of this peace and prosperity has to be very frustrating for them! When the war starts, the ice caps melt, and the great depression kicks in they’re going to party like it’s the MORNING of November 2016.

I've seen people on Twitter begging for an economic collapse because #OrangeManBad  O.o  There are some crazy people out there, and their crazy voices seem louder simply because people react and engage. It happens here daily, now imagine it on Twitter-scale.

People tend to forget that the reason the leftists like Tibs cheer for economic collapse is because it is through that collapse they can justify a full government takeover of everything.

When you realize you are unable or unwilling to be responsible for your own life, you can find comfort in womb-to-tomb government coddling. The problem for leftists is that their lazy, non-productive, stare-at-the-clock-til-closing-time persona is magnified against a backdrop of intentional productivity.

Which probably explains why they whine so much, but especially explains their desire to see the country collapse.

Man, @plenzmd1 now your quotes are so messed up, I cannot quote your response. I guess I'm next.  :(  Board software, gotta love the glitches.

"But i thought all the tech , where people worked 80 hours a week to get successful, all leaned left??"

I don't lean left. I do have some "lefty" ideals. I also have "righty" ideals. I like to think of myself as a centrist, and hopefully, I-can-be-taught.  (And to be fair, I am no longer "in tech".)

What you are seeing in so much of the tech workers leaning left is YOUNG people tend to lean left. The old, saw “If a person is not a liberal when he is twenty, he has no heart; if he is not a conservative when he is forty, he has no head."

Yeah it's not just you.  Lenz's posts somehow muck up the board's reply features.   Must be intentional.  :)

I am thrilled to know it isn't just happening to me and @plenzmd1  <_<

But seriously, I wonder what the issue is, and why it is only happening to a few people?

To your point above, you're confusing all leftists with "leftists like Tibs."

These are the leftists whose idea of a career is to get paid by unions to protest. These are the leftists who spend their lives staring at successful people who worked their ass off to achieve a good career and financial stability and say, out loud in annoying triggered whines, "It's not fair that I can't have what they have."

They're the Occupy Wall Street soilers of police cars, and Antifa harrasers of old men driving through downtown Portland. They're the stay-at-home son who gets paid to post comments on message boards and online news comment sections.

They need things to collapse because they're too lazy and stupid to make life work by their own efforts.

Tax and spent Trumperial!

Amid pressure from Senate Republicans, the Trump administration is eyeing ways to advance funds to agriculture companies caught in the trade battle. President Trump, meanwhile, said he’ll reach a deal with China “when the time is right.”

I can't access the article but does it mention anywhere in it where the funds to give the farmers are going to come from?

According to the article, "Trump said on Monday the plan was still being 'devised.'"

Possibilities:

-"Expansion of bailout funds from the Commodity Credit Corp., a division of the Agriculture Department."

-"Some of it would be paid for through tariffs on Chinese imports."

-"Government could purchase U.S. farm products and then give them to poor countries."

I realize it's simply a matter of semantics, but you're describing what I call the difference between 'Liberal' and 'Leftist". Being for the most part libertarian-minded, I consider myself to be a reasonably liberal person. By the same token, being mostly libertarian prevents me from being a leftist, in that I support only a very limited role by the feds in the affairs of the citizenry.

I know I may come off as being a bit anal with regard to definitions, but the distinction is an important one in my mind.

There are no true liberals still left in America. The ‘liberal’ party has been hijacked by socialists. A true liberal wants the government to stay out of people’s private lives whereas socialists want the government telling everyone how to do everything! I see this as a natural evolution. Since pretty much nothing is illegal anymore, the Left has gotten bored and decided instead to start telling everyone else that they have to agree and comply with their version of freedom.

they aren't true socialists, they are nitwits

Canada and the UK have always had true socialists interfering in local and national politics.

The Truth about Trump´s Economy
Jewish World Review, by Alicia Colon

Original Article

While Nancy Pelosi and other Democrat leaders dismiss the Trump economy as just benefiting the wealthy, my perspective is quite different. Since I have always resided in or near the inner cities of New York, it is quite obvious that these leaders have no idea what is happening in these neighborhoods. Help Wanted signs are posted in about every small business which no longer has to suffer the Obamacare mandates. Houses are undergoing renovations for the first time in years. The nearby housing project parking lots are filled with brand new vehicles.

May 2019 Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey

Results from the May Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey suggest continued growth for the region’s manufacturing sector. The survey’s indexes for general activity, shipments, and employment increased from their April readings.  The new orders index remained positive but decreased modestly. The survey’s future activity index, after falling in recent months, was little changed, while the firms’ forecast for future employment improved.

Current Indicators Suggest Continued Growth

The diffusion index for current general activity increased from 8.5 in April to 16.6 this month (see Chart 1). Over 25 percent of the manufacturers reported increases in overall activity this month, while 9 percent reported decreases. The indexes for current shipments and new orders moved in opposite directions this month: The current shipments index increased 9 points, while the new orders index fell 5 points. The current inventories index fell 6 points to its first negative reading in four months.

Empire State Manufacturing Survey

The monthly survey of manufacturers in New York State conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Business activity picked up significantly in New York State, according to firms responding to the May 2019 Empire State Manufacturing Survey. The headline general business conditions index climbed eight points to 17.8, its highest level in six months. New orders and shipments also grew at a faster pace than in recent months. Delivery times held steady, and inventories moved slightly lower. Labor market indicators pointed to small increases in employment and hours worked. Price indexes were little changed, suggesting that prices increased at about the same pace as last month. Indexes assessing the six-month outlook indicated that firms were significantly more optimistic about future conditions than they were in April.

Why not purchase them from farmers and sell them to poor countries at a profit?  Can't they do anything right?
