Well played Pegula... Demand that Freddy stay in Buffalo... Get Season Ticket sales to an all-time high.... Dump Freddy... No Refunds.

You are a class act.

If you bought season tix based on Fred alone, your bad, not Terry's.

I would actually be very surprised if Fred gets claimed. He is a great guy/teammate/player, can still find daylight, and can fall forward - but there just simply is no getting past his age. Not many teams paring down their rosters are going to be looking to sign a thirty four and a half year old running back. For those of you asking why... Age is a pretty obvious reason. You would respect and support Whaley more if he came out and said "fred is just too damn old"???

There are a lot of teams without dependable RBs. Plus injuries happen. Someone will pick him up.

I am not even sure how this makes us more competitive. We will never give the ball to Bryce Brown in a real game situation.

I think the Bills are overlooking the reliability factor of Fred. Yes, he has slowed and has had injures-- but he fights through and, when he plays, he is as reliable as they come.

How is he "reliable" if he misses 5-10 games a season due to injury?

I LOVE Fred Jackson, I own his jersey, I think he's arguably the best Bill since the 2000s in terms of embracing the team and never saying die on the field. But even I saw this coming some day. Running backs rarely ever finish their career with one team and they rarely stay effective once they pass 30.

Just stop already. Everyone knows 'why'. If Whaley said "he's 34, slow and injury prone now and costs more than the other guys" you'd be in hysterics over the lack of respect.

I'm sure he won't either.

But I am sure Fred Jackson will be retired in a year.

I would have liked to hear why they think Bryce Brown > Fred Jackson. That's all I wanted. Some line about, we like our young guys and wanted to give Fred the best chance to catch on elsewhere. You know, the usual bull ****. We didn't even get that.

The time he was pissed the most was the second last contract I think he signed several years ago. The Bills had him over a barrel and they lowballed him bad. He had outperformed his last contract by a mile and was a RFA IIRC and they should have rewarded him but they gave him about the least they could, and it's not like he could have just gone somewhere in FA. He was very unhappy with what they offered and what he signed for.

If I remember it correctly. The one year extension they gave him (last year?) was somewhat of a fnancial reward for his time here being paid bottom tier wages. Well, that blew up in his face. For those saying it "saves" the team $$$ BS that contract was peanuts for his contributions. yep,he,lost a step. CJ would have been stopped at the line saturday and never even had made the cut or seen that hole.

bad Mojo man. Actually surprised,Pegula signed off on this. And now Rex is blabbering a few days ago that incognito is a leader WTF.

Fred's blocking alone was worth keeping those old legs here for one last season.

Do we really need that when the action that they took says that?

I forgot about that, the Bully a leader. That says a lot, and may explain some of the thinking behind releasing Fred. Maybe not Rex's kind of leader, if he's calling the Bully a leader.

...MAYBE just MAYBE the reason why Brown is still on the roster is because they are trying to trade him for a late round pick after the next preseason game. Just for a minute consider that he is not going to be on the 53 man roster.

Would you feel better if Brown was cut this week and Jackson next week, or would you still be in the corner sucking your thumb?

Because he is young and very good and if Shady goes down you want Karlos and Brown to be the RB not Boobie.

Bryce Brown is electric. He hasn't broke out yet at this level but he has the ability to torch a defense. I hope he shows his detractors wrong. He was having a great game vs the chiefs last year until the fumble. And as much as everyone wants to point at that and define his football career with it, that was a hell of a strip. Just a great play by the defender. I'm hopeful he's got a lot to offer.

Hats off to Fred. Hell of a career. One of the all time great Bills. A true D3 hero too.

Thanks for the personal attacks. Sorry my anger at this decision has you so riled up.
