Curious to see if any team actually has a great record with "NFL Nation" predictions... you have the opponent's 'homer' reporter predicting the score of every game.... Lets see what the Pats are predicted to do with this method.... (hold please)

Edit: Looks like my suspicion was totally incorrect! NFL Nation predicts the Pats to be 13-3, while their own "homer" writer predicts them to be 11-5.

Here is the "NFL Nation" prediction:

1. This matchup is a bad one for the Steelers in every way. Quarterback Tom Brady will again have his way with a defense that is in transition – and that is to put it charitably – and New England opens defense of its Super Bowl title with a resounding win. Patriots 38, Steelers 20. (1-0)

2. The Bills host the Patriots in an early-season game for fifth consecutive year, and each time the Bills have either kept it close or won. Throw in Tom Brady's career struggles against Ryan-coached defenses and this is a winnable game. Bills 28, Patriots 24. (1-1)

3. Tom Brady. Rob Gronkowski. Devin McCourty. Defending Super Bowl champs. Did I mention Tom Brady? This will be the toughest game on the schedule. Patriots 31, Jaguars 12. (2-1)

4. Bye

5. Tom Brady will be making his first and likely last trip to AT&T Stadium for a regular-season game. The defending Super Bowl champs might have suffered some losses, but they are still the best-coached team in the league and know how to get it done. Patriots 31, Cowboys 27. (3-1)

6. The Patriots lost some key players on defense, but they’ve beaten the Colts four straight times by an average of 29 points. New England will continue to have the edge until the Colts prove they can stop the run. Patriots 35, Colts 30. (4-1)

7. In honor of Darrelle Revis, who left the Super Bowl champs to sign with his old team, let's call it the Tamper Bowl. Bowles gets his first crack at the Patriots, the nemesis that inflicted so much frustration during the Ryan era. With a vastly improved secondary, the Jets should have a fighting chance against Tom Brady. Patriots 24, Jets 21. (5-1)

8. Gillette Stadium has been a house of horrors for the Dolphins in recent seasons. Add in the fact this game is at night and on a short week against the defending champs. This is a recipe for disaster. Patriots 34, Dolphins 17. (6-1)

9. The Patriots are just too good and will confound Griffin and the offense with a variety of looks. Surely, Pats coach Bill Belichick will remember a detail or two from practicing versus Washington in the 2014 camp. Patriots 27, Redskins 14. (7-1)

10. Oh yes, Manning and Tom Coughlin have the New England Patriots' number. We're all well aware of this, as NFL history always will be. But the Super Bowl XLVI victory was a long time and a lot of roster overhaul ago. And obviously, based on the results of the most recent Super Bowl, the Patriots are sitting at a better time in their franchise history than the Giants are in theirs. The champs come away with a hard-fought win in MetLife. Patriots 27, Giants 20. (8-1)

11. The Bills' first Monday Night Football tilt since 2009 will take place in Gillette Stadium, which has been a house of horrors for Buffalo. We know Ryan will have this game circled on his calendar, and if he can pull it out, it will be a big statement for his team in the AFC East. But it'll be the Bills' biggest hurdle this season. Patriots 34, Bills 24. (9-1)

12. It’s an easy argument to make, that Bill Belichick’s Patriots have done more than any other team to derail Manning’s championship aspirations through the years, and recently that has included the Broncos’ aspirations as well. The Broncos’ last win over the Patriots -- in Denver in the AFC Championship Game following the 2013 season -- sent Denver to the Super Bowl and the last loss, in Foxborough, Massachusetts, last November, essentially cracked the code of the team’s high-flying offense. Broncos 28, Patriots 27. (9-2)

13. It’s tempting to predict that Tim Tebow will lead the Eagles to a comeback win against his old team. But the extra rest after Thanksgiving is pretty much wasted in this one. Patriots 34, Eagles 23. (10-2)

14. The defending Super Bowl champions will arrive, reuniting many old friends and colleagues. Texans coach Bill O'Brien began his NFL coaching career with the Patriots, quarterbacks coach George Godsey coached there, linebackers coach Mike Vrabel spent most of his playing career with the Patriots, nose tackle Vince Wilfork was drafted there and played in New England for 11 years, and both Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett both shared a quarterback room with Tom Brady in their football pasts. The students won't surpass the teachers just yet though. Patriots 35, Texans 27. (11-2)

15. A mismatch in every way imaginable. Outplayed on offense, defense and special teams. Out-prepared. Out-coached. Out-classed. The Patriots do it to a lot of teams. They bring the streaking Titans way back to reality with a very easy afternoon. Patriots 38, Titans 13. (12-2)

16. The Jets will have one extra day to prepare, as a result of their Saturday road game against Dallas the week before. But more importantly, in an interview leading up to the game against New England, Jets owner Woody Johnson lets it be known that not only is he impressed with Nate Solder, Chandler Jones and Dont’a Hightower, but he also thinks highly of linebacker Jamie Collins (free agent after 2016) and believes he might be a good fit with the Jets in a few years. Patriots 31, Jets 17. (13-2)

17. Week 17 is tricky, because the Patriots could be resting starters for the playoffs. But Miami split with New England the past two seasons. So it’s reasonable to think the Dolphins can beat the Patriots at home for the third year in a row. Dolphins 23, Patriots 21. (13-3)

@mikerodak: Our @ESPN_NFLNation reporters predict the Bills will go 5-11, finish on a 7-game losing streak: http://t.co/TFGMEhsQyc

I'm not a big believer in bulletin board material, but I hope Rex posts this all around the building. That is a huge kick in the nuts, especially this defense.

GO BILLS!!!
