Gameday Thread Bills vs. Pats* 1st Half Thread 9/29
MDH replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Allen is going to continue to be a turnover machine he needs to balance it out with BIG plays. This team hasn’t had a long TD pass this year. -
Julian Edelman expected to play per Rapaport
MDH replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t care about Edelman for the most part. I want Brady to dump it off over and over again in the passing game.Just make the tackle when he does. Super Bowl MVP and his team scored 13 points. Let’s hope it’s that type of game for the Pat’s offense today. -
My preference has long been to get rid of divisions and play every team in your conference once plus one game vs. an out of conference team. Divisions are just a dumb way of deciding who the best teams are and handing out home games to division winners when they beat up on a bad division gives teams too much of an advantage in the post season. If every conference team has pretty much the same schedule it makes seeding those teams in the post season as fair as it can be.

I officially believe that the Bills will win this weekend!
MDH replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the thing thats missing in people evaluation of the Bills’ wins is that the Bills dominated most of all three of their games, even the Jets game. The thing that kept 2 of them close were costly mistakes by the Bills. If the Bills eliminate those 7-8 plays where those mistakes were made suddenly they look like a much different team. Eliminate those mistakes and they can beat the Pats. Continue playing like they have and they’ll get smoked. If the Bills win the toxic differential and do so with no turnovers they win. Im not sure they’re good enough to beat the Pats if they turn the ball over at all. -
Tom Brady billboard just beautiful!!

If the wings are good wtf are you putting anything on them? -

You realize that ESPN has a lot of employs and they all have their own opinions. There is no "ESPN opinion" like many on this board like to believe. Trash a commentator for their views or lack of ability to back up said views, but just labeling it trash because they are employed by ESPN makes very little sense.

I'm not even sure I want him to go Sunday. I kinda want the Bills to be forced to leave Nsekhe at RT the entire game and if that means Ford is at RG the entire game, so be it. If Ford does a good job a RG then perhaps it would end up being a 3 man battle (Feliciano, Ford and Spain) for the 2 G spots. Mostly, I just don't want to see Ford out there at T struggling every time he's in the game. It's not coincidence that Nsekhe has been at RT for 7 of the Bills 8 TDs.

Rex Ryan takedown: Baker Mayfield version
MDH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only one side wins this - Rex. All he's doing is getting attention which is what he wants to do because all he's doing is blabbing his mouth on a TV show. The Browns, on the other hand, are letting outside crap become a distraction. Ignore it and move on. You clap back and it becomes a "thing" and now Rex will say something all while loving the attention he's getting. The Browns are in a bit of trouble right now and their schedule does them no favors. They'd be wise to ignore this outside crap because it's only going to get worse. -
But somehow the Pats lost 5 games last year including games to Miami, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Tennessee. None of those teams made the playoffs. Im guessing Pats fans went into all those games being over confident too. Just because the Pats are the best team in the league doesn’t mean they win every game.

What will happen if the Bills do win this weekend
MDH replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills' fans will become insufferable... ...and it will be AWESOME! -
Which media? I saw media members predict the Bills would win the AFC East this year and start 4-0. I saw other media members say the Browns weren't as good as the hype they were getting. This mystical, magical, evil unified "media" we see people continue to reference are this board doesn't exist.

Yeah, this. With all the batted balls near the LoS it's amazing that only one of them has been picked off this year. Let's hope a couple of those batted balls end up in the hands of a LB or S this week.

Maiorana's Report: Realism or Pessimism?
MDH replied to Tolstoy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll say this about the Jet sweep on the 3rd and 1 that nobody seems to be recognizing. Daboll was going for the home run, he wasn't just trying to pick up the 1st. The Bengals did an awesome job of not overreacting to the Gore fake up the middle because if their edge contain crashed hard to the middle McKenzie would have been off to the races down the sideline. This is the type of play that when it works fans are saying, "WHAT A CALL!" but when it fails they're scratching their heads wondering why they didn't just hand it up the middle and pick up easy first down. -
See: Roby Anderson, Evan Engram and John Ross.

the Josh Allen streak nobody talks about
MDH replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you’re trying to cherry pick stats (pre-season??) you didn't even do it as well as you could have. Why include the Patriots game when that was a loss? Why not just say he’s 8-0 in his last 8? If you want to include the Pats then take the one before that, it was a win, making him 9-1. Of course, Allen didn't even play in all the pre-season games so trying to puff up his record with pre-season fails to add 4 wins to his total. OR you could just say Allen is 5-1 in his last 6 starts and get zero pushback. -
Our Beloved Bills and the State of the AFC - Week Three
MDH replied to LeGOATski's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree about Watson’s talent but Ill take the Colts in that division. Watson wont make it through the year given the punishment he takes weekly. Much of that is on the OL but a lot is also because of Watson’s play style. I don’t see a long career for the guy unless he and the Texans start protecting him better. Thats true, to a lesser degree, of Josh Allen too. -

McDermott takes it to another level again!
MDH replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dion Dawkins had a quote in an article in The Athletic last week where he said, "It's really who's going to drop their balls and punch the other guy in the face. I respect the Giants to the fullest, but we just pushed them a little harder. Just drop those balls, man." I guess McDermott was just checking if Knox had, in fact, dropped those balls. -
There's no need for some crazy conspiracy theory. The Patriots are known cheaters. Their HoF QB was suspended for cheating, their owner fined, the team docked draft picks by the league, tapes have been burned to hide the facts from the public. I wouldn't put it past the Patriots to install a 2nd speaker in Brady's helmet or hack into the signal. They are known cheats and once a cheat, always a cheat. They get no benefit of the doubt.

Pats lost 5 games last year with losses to the Steelers, Dolphins, Titans and Lions. None of those teams made the playoffs. Being the best team in the NFL doesn't mean they're unbeatable.

Next four: @Ravens, @49ers, Seahawks, @Pats. Probably not long.

We’re on to New England ...
MDH replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably the way he was raised. -
Yeah, they need better edge rushers. The Bengals gave one of the worst OLs in the league and the Bills couldn’t muster much of a pass rush unless they sent extra guys.
