I pulled the trigger at halftime of the Bengals game Yes, the prices suck, but it's hard to see them getting cheaper. I'd regret the crap out of not being there next week if I hadn't done it

There's no way that the NFL is determining specific weeks for matchups at this early juncture. Anyone who's watched features on the NFL schedule in past years knows that there's a huge amount of coordination that goes on with teams, venues, networks, etc, and thousands of permutations etc that get thrown into their computers. They're not done yet, and they're likely not done for another couple of months, so anything now is just conjecture. At the very least, there's not determining weekly schedules until after the Super Bowl is played

Cleveland Browns appreciation thread
mushypeaches replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
This example just illustrates the problems when ownership meddles or over-involves themselves in player personnel decisions. It's played out countless times across many organizations over the years (including our own far too many times) Let the experts do their jobs - and go count your money and your play toys in the corner somewhere else -
Great post as always Virgil, and I echo your sentiments about the pre-game feeling. I was way more worried about being in the cold for 4-5 hours than anything the Pats were going to do. I can't recall being that confident going into any of the 90's era playoff games that I attended, so it was definitely a different, but calming feeling of confidence pre-game

Have you ever gotten into a fight over the Bills?
mushypeaches replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
My buddies and I (we were 18 at the time) nearly pummeled an Oilers fan sitting behind us at the Comeback game. He was trash talking us the entire first half "just like last week boys" but mysteriously clammed up during the second half... We settled for the more mature response of giving him a double barreled salute after Christie's kick went through in OT Any opposing fan who dares to shoot his mouth off in our stadium pretty much deserves what he gets. And he should never ever ever start sh*t in the bathrooms either... -
Mario Addison the only injury for Buffalo Bills after playoff win

Time for AJ Epenesa to step the frig up -
I'm not terribly convinced that Daboll is leaving, but it would be a monumental upset for his successor to not be Ken Dorsey

What Heath Farwell said about Bills punter Matt Haack
mushypeaches replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
The whole freaking team better be aware that Belichick is gunning for a punt block this week. He's the alpha shark smelling blood in the water and Haack + cold = Chum -
Two Bills Drive Pats at Bills 01/15 Roll Call
mushypeaches replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Section 202 My high school buddy and I started going to games in the '91 playoffs. The Bills are 12-1 when we've attended games together, including the Houston comeback game, with the only loss being a frigid night game during the Jauron era when we had indoor club seats. We agree that this is an omen - that we should be proud to brave the elements and this guarantees victory for our team! -

Bears request permission to interview Frazier
mushypeaches replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I love what Leslie Frazier has done for our defense, and I'm sure he's an outstanding coach But any team that hires him isn't exactly firing up their fanbase and with a young QB needing to be developed, it's hard to see the Bears, or many other teams choosing him as head coach -
Anyone who comes in to that job and says he's not going to draft a running back at #2 automatically has a leg up

The Dolphins dysfunction always starts at the top - Stephen Ross. Guy is clueless about culture, talent, management approach, and can't keep his hands out of the operations Let them lather, rinse, and repeat - until they have new ownership, they are no threat to the Bills

special teams were a nightmare lack of talent and depth finally caught up with us the team's spirit was broken after the way the 99 season ended plus releasing 3 HOF'ers Season #3 of QB drama left everyone fatigued And if you couldn't see 3-13 coming in 2001 with the utter dearth of talent we had going into that year, well you were either very young or had a Rob Johnson poster above your bed

Lee Smith and Dawson Knox mic’d up for Bills vs Falcons

I still think it's funny that we got a draft pick in a trade for this guy -
If anyone thinks that he won't be available and ready to play in 3 weeks, I've got some lovely real estate in Florida that you might be interested in

Burrow NOT playing Sunday - per Burrow
mushypeaches replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
All of this is good news for the Bills - you always want the higher seed and the chance to have more home games in later rounds And it's also true that you shouldn't care who you play in the first round - we need to be the bullies and have the mindset that teams have to come to our house and truly beat us I also don't discount that the Browns will come in fired up to beat the Bengals and it's good that the Bengals are already mailing it in. Don't discount the locker room discord that Faker Mayfield has sown and that his teammates will want to put up a good show and be more inspired now that he's gone -
I just went through a database posted in another article that referenced all of the games that John Madden announced in his entire career. Other than the Houston Texans (who he never announced), the Bills were the team he called the least in a career that spanned 576 games Super Bowl XXVI against Washington in 1992 The above contest Dallas @ Bills in 1996 The massive beatdown we took NE @ Bills on Sunday night in 2007 Yes, he was mostly calling NFC games for the majority of his career, but my god, even the Jaguars and the Bengals got more of his games

The first football game I ever attended was Super Bowl XXI in Pasadena. I gladly rooted for the underdog Broncos even though they didn't have much going for them besides John Elway. Dan Reeves was a class act and a reminder of a bygone era of professional, solid, no-nonsense coaches who didn't need sound bites and BS to motivate their teams.

Matt Barkley released by Carolina [now: Claimed by Falcons]

So this one is better than "Move Edmunds to DE"? Pretty low bar, but I'll take the left-handed compliment -
Frankly I'm stunned that it took this long for him to test positive
