I would have liked to see the coaching staff force them to throw the ball earlier in the game. Bring in an extra dl instead of a lb, make them throw the ball. Don't be content with them running it. Can't blame the players too much.

Used to do things like this to the steelers too. Came out and threw the ball consecutively for a game. Tonight it became obvious they didn't want to throw the ball, but you have to make them.

For me, he just doesn't make anyone better in the run game. He does in the passing game, but it's getting old watching him not make a play in the run game.

He's a lefty, Billy will grab him in NE assuming his hang time is decent and everyone will talk about how it's a great move. Might not be a first round pick, but I bet it will be higher than most expect. Not only will the ball travel further it will also be more difficult to catch. You are talking about a few yards of field position per punt which will be valuable to some.

Seems like Marquez Stevenson is next man up and has some of the speed promise. Between him and Davis I think we are deep enough at wr to withstand a combination of sanders/McKenzie/beasley leaving. I also assume we can find cheap replacements who would like to work with JA. I do not think we are deep enough in the interior line to withstand injuries and/or Morse leaving so I would rather spend a 2nd round pick there if the value lines up. I think the first round pick will be on the defensive side of the ball, and that will probably continue to be a trend with this group at the helm.

As Josh gets older and runs less we will need a rb that can both run between the tackles and threaten the edge of the defense. I expect we will draft later round guys until someone can do that but for now we will stand pat. I'll be surprised if we sign him to a long term deal.

Yeah, from the angle where he was on the field and how the ball was coming in I think it would be tough to lose it in the lights. It does look like he pulled up though, but I wonder if he thought he was out of bounds already. #?flatearthissues

Pittsburgh just had to play without their kicker for a half. They just end up managing the game to not count on the kicking game and won it, it's not the end of the world. And I thought belicheck was specifically addressing the backup qb as the player holding since that was the majority of the players who did it back then. I think it makes for an interesting fake scenario if you have jones or even Mckenzie holding because if they take off with the ball they would be tough to catch before turning upfield. The kick block team would have to account for that and either not rush that side or keep their safety player shaded to cover the holder taking off.
