  1. I see it as a major hole, the story with Knox hasn't changed since college and if we don't have a player that can hurt the other team there we will not be able to get over the hump. Edit: the other thing for me here is that for all these years our offense has sucked but a lot of folks wanted that great te to open up the seams and the underneath areas. Now, when we have a decent offense it doesn't matter. To me now is the time for one! Someone like Kelce would be nice but it just needs to be someone with a little wiggle and ability to get open and catch the ball. Knox doesn't seem to be that, as much as we hope he will be.
  2. Your main rival for the afc title filled a major hole so you feel the need to fill one of yours. @YoloinOhio (forgot to quote you)
  3. Wonder if the chiefs getting brown changed our thought process
  4. I will be going on Saturday with my son, nephew and brother. Just going to get into all the fan experience stuff at that point.
  5. He had 1.5 career sacks in college. 1.5 as a player who had an even greater physical advantage than he does now. Looks to me like he rushes like he defends the run, just not explosive or determined. I will say if they did get him to attack more on the pass rush it might help the run defense too, just the whole mentality of attacking.
  6. I want to say empty stadiums (no fan noise/distractions) also led to better execution. Games were as close to practice atmosphere as they ever will be.
  7. I'm thinking early (by the third) or nothing. Obviously they would have to see the value there. I don't know if we need another Gilliam/Becker/Sweeney type, we either need someone to push Knox or don't bother. I'd rather they look for other positions in those later rounds, it doesn't seem like there will be much te talent available later. When they went up for Knox it was because he was the last guy at the tier they wanted, and that was jumping up into the third with two fourth round picks if I remember correctly.
  8. It will be interesting to see how they see this te class. The early indication is obd is not impressed since they are/were trying to get Ertz plus all the other guys they checked on like Gronk and Olsen, etc. I think that a playoff caliber roster affords you the opportunity to spend a high pick on a te, but it seems like the players avaliable at our position don't match the value, at least in the first round. It will be interesting to see how it turns out for us because Beane seems to be actively searching for an upgrade.
  9. Got my J&J a few weeks ago, just some area pain for the first 30 mins or so then a slight soreness when raising my arm for a couple days.
  10. Seems like a possibility if you feel that strongly about it. BYOMW and some assembly required.
  11. They're just hoping someone really wants the fourth qb on their board. Also seems like that won't be Carolina.
  12. I thought I remember his ST snaps going down at one point last year, I thought that didn't bode well for him. But I haven't done any additional research to see if he ended the year being down on snaps.
  13. If I'm McBeane there's no way I can count on Morse to play this whole year, seems like he's one rubber mat slip away from calling it a career. I assume Bates and the Bills see that too and Bates would like to be able to slide into the center spot. Obviously last year the Bills did not play Bates at center when given the opportunity and instead picked up Winters and he got into the lineup even though he wasn't particularly good. Hopefully Bates will put the work in to improve his game, but this seems like an area where we could easily spend a high draft pick, RG/C.
  14. Thought this was interesting https://steelersdepot.com/2021/02/2021-free-agents-analysis-s-sean-davis-unrestricted/ Don't know what he plays on special teams, haven't been able to find that, but I assume he could be an upgrade as a backup for Hyde? Seems like he was a gunner in college.
  15. So I guess there aren't many top flight pass rushers that want to be relegated to 50% of the defensive snaps?
  16. The cap is only an issue if you're not trying hard. Those days are past us now.
  17. Google Quinn Meinerz senior bowl and check out the videos - seems like a match made in heaven, eh
  18. Probably not much, he was 80-something in Pittsburgh if I remember correctly
  19. The more FA wr's that fill holes for teams, the more wr's will be available in the draft. It might be the case that we will be rolling with Davis and then Hodgins filling the Davis role and getting a burner in the draft and as others have stated, covering the return position also. I for one would rather put resources into our run game with the hope that will cause defenses to play closer to the los and create some holes down the field. Josh seems to be pretty good at the intermediate throws at this point anyway and if we can give him more room on the field to make those throws by running the ball more effectively that sounds good to me.
