I think his availability will be much better this year. Going from easy money on a crappy team to a prove it deal with a top team will matter. On a couple of those early plays he wasn't even paying attention when the ball was snapped. Assuming he made a lot of business decisions last year, and the jets knew that too.

Maybe, but I don't think they spent the draft pick to keep him on the ps. If he shows any ability to kick the professional football in the preseason he would get poached. In the end he seems like a good enough athlete to get the holding done well and change his kicking style enough to hang it as well as be more directional. For me the bigger issue with bojo was his holding, I think we'll let Matt work things out as we go along.

I'll take this the other way - since Araiza isn't good at pooching it and not a proven holder, we're going for it from our 40 and closer and not kicking field goals unless it's 4th and 10+. We'll let our defense get some work if we have to.

When I first saw it I thought Lorenzo Alexander replacement. Just a jack of all trades guy with good instincts and character. Plus it seems like they see him backing up both spots, I don't think they see him as just a backup, he's another piece to make the defense more multiple.i assume they saw something in the kc game where they could use him. Maybe they think he is a better match up on Kelce?

Letting punts hit was pretty much Hyde's modus operandi. It seems to me Mckenzie is not changing his ball security technique or something else the coaches are concerned about and that's leading to the quick pull.

Kromer coming in, Dorsey taking over, the mentions of needing to run the ball by McBeane over the last year or so, the Oline they are bringing in all seem to be pointing to more emphasis on the run game to me. Seems like we will be running the ball more often and Josh should see his number of carries drop.

Don't know if he would need a new contract. Who's going to throw him the ball next year and beyond? He might be ok catching some JA bombs next year and then hitting the market. Especially when we make a deep run in the playoffs.

Considering the Giants have oline issues, Dawkins might appeal to them. Dabol could also want Knox, but either way the Giants will know how we value our vets and would have an advantage in putting a package together. But, as I've looked at these drafts it seems like a move up via the Eagles to 19 would get us above the steelers and pats or even up to 16 to get us above the chargers. Don't have an idea of how a trade would look with them though.

I would like the guy who is going to help us win next year. I don't want to split hairs about it, get the best guy to help us win next year.
