The bottom line is that Cordy Glenn has regressed and Chandler Jones is improving. This is a bad matchup and alarming now every time the Pats play the Bills. Chandler Jones dominated yesterday. Have to look at Seantrel Henderson at LT, Kouiandijo at RT and let Cordy Glenn test the free agent waters in 16. The other thing is, have to beat the Pats down the middle of the field a few times to make those LBs (Collins) less aggressive. That killed the run game.

This game was close at half but the Pats took off after a big play to Tyms for the TD over Gilmore. The D was there all day though. Much better than yesterday.

This team is good enough to beat any team in the league. Rex needs to understand his personnel and maybe turn on some tape from last season to show how to be better against Brady. Unlike his Jets, the Bills can get to Brady rushing 4 most of the time. They need to tackle after the quick throws better and get them off the field. As the game changes, then blitzes come in and maybe you get a turnover or two.

Next three games decide the season

This is an amazingly disappointing loss today but this team will be fine. Those throws and plays Taylor made in the 4th quarter will pay dividends later in the season in key moments. This team will be in the hunt all year. -
Will the refs let us win this game?
sjjr replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every year it is the same thing. Anytime the Bills had the momentum the refs starting making calls, changing the game. Most were phantom calls they never would show or calls made that can be called every single play in the NFL. The Bills let that crap get into their head and really didn't recover until the 4th qtr. Every single play it was Patriot linemen holding and hooking Bills rushers. Not one holding called on 59 pass attempts!!!! wow!! Not sure how much longer this crap can go on in the NFL before fans start walking away... The Bills are the better team but unfortunately that is only part of the equation in the NFL today. Have to have the refs on your side too. I'm just sick of seeing this. -
When on the line of scrimmage as a traditional TE, then Lawson has to be jamming him with some safety help over top. If he splits out then maybe Glmore or Aaron Williams with some help inside on the slant. Can't forget about Chandler though through all of this. This will be a great test for Robey against Edelman but he should get some help hopefully.

Crystal Ball: Top Prospects for 2016 NFL Draft
sjjr replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems like there will be a lot of good D-linemen coming out and a deep offensive line class too. If the Bills end up picking late in the 1st round, maybe a guy Isaac Seumolo to upgrade a Center long term. -
Check out this gem from the Colts' message board...

The Colts have an average roster with a great young QB. They'll be there in playoffs and probably go a round further than they should because of Luck. This is the most physical team the Bills have ever had and they just have to keep winning. -
Big win but next week is the real test.

Getting the lead early is critical to keep the run game effective and unleash the pass rush. Luck will make some plays and the Bills have to give some help to Darby on either Hilton or Dorsett. Defense should come up with some big plays. Bills 30-20

A Few Thoughts on Steelers @ Pats***
sjjr replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the pats play the Bills the same way they played the Steelers last night, the Bills might run for 200 yds. They won't though, Belichek will have a different front dedicated to stopping the run for sure. The Patriots aren't near as talented as some of their recent teams, especially on D. This should be an interesting year in the AFC East. -
When goes up must come down. When the Pats do fall down, it will interesting to see what else really comes out from the last 15 years.

I finally remember who Karlos Williams reminds me of...
sjjr replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was thinking Sammy Morris...athletic, big and a great special teamer -
He was there in the second round because he needs time to figure it out. McKelvin is the starter when healthy but in 2016, Darby might be ready to compete.

Fred Says Whaley Dishonest With Him
sjjr replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is business. Never have seen an employee be happy at being let go. We don't know what was said behind closed doors to Fred Jackson in the offseason, but he can't be blind as to what the Bills were doing...They traded for McCoy and drafted Karlos Williams. Fred has been a great player but he's 34 and was never going to be the feature back over McCoy. To make the team, he would have to perform on special teams better than K.Williams or Dixon, which he can't. It's a solid decision and sometimes it doesn't feel good right away but it's the right decision. Good Luck Fred and hope to see you back in some capacity with the Buffalo Bills in the future. -
Looking Ahead ... News about the Colts (week 1 opponent)

Darby got beat pretty bad by Dorsett last season when they played in college. Have to hope McKelvin can go... -
Keep them both

Patriots or Jets

Great player and leader that helped the turnaround. Wish he could have been on some teams that went to the playoffs. Hope he can stick around in some capacity to be a part of the bright future.

EJ for RG3? Please don't let this happen.
sjjr replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Redskins will be lucky to get a 7th rd pick or cash considerations for him at this point with his cap number being what it is. I'm guessing he's not negotiable...EJ is way more valuable at this point. -
This roster is good enough to win games with any of the three QBs in reality. Looking at the Colts game in particular, the Bills should be able to run the ball and play D to win. Don't need great QB play. With that said, I'd love to see EJ work out and be the guy someday but today he is not. Should be Tyrod Taylor based on what he's done at camp and in preseason....and especially if the coaching staff and team believes he can get it done.

EJ deserves time on the field with first team offense.
sjjr replied to gsurdam's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The play he had that bothered me was on the 3rd and goal...rolling out to the right with no options, knowing he still had fourth down, he still cut back into the teeth of the defense and fumbled the ball. Luckily, the ball bounced right to Gragg and ended up being a non-issue but that play could have easily lost the game. I think EJ still hasn't had a fair evaluation and has been placed into a very difficult position. With that said, this system is perfect for him and this should have been his camp. He hasn't stepped up and in the NFL, most players only get just a few chances. He's a great guy and still has big upside but someone needs to bring him along patiently and I just don't see that with this Buffalo Bills team that wants to win now.
