  1. The Bills match up well with the Bengals. Dalton has been hot but all have been favorable matchups. They've faced the Ravens and Raiders on the road, and neither of these teams can generate a consistent pass rush. The Bills should be ok here as long as they take care of the ball.
  2. Time for EJ to step up and perform. Go Bills.
  3. Tyrod did a lot of winning at Virginia Tech and really VT has been searching for a winning QB since he left. He sat behind a very good QB in Baltimore and learned how to be a pro in a great organization for four seasons. He was a also a 5 star recruit with a lot of hype. From what we've seen, he's played winning football for this team. Both losses were not on him and without a doubt he's won a game for this team they wouldn't have won without him, so he's +1 to me so far. It's not about EJ. EJ deserves his shot but he ran into a kid here who is exactly what this team and organization needs. EJ will get his shot either in Buffalo or elsewhere and show what he can do.
  4. Tyrod Taylor was off pretty much all game throwing the ball and that was a problem against the Titans but the most important characteristic of a winning QB is what he does when the game is on the line. Great players find a way to win when they are having off days. He made great plays with his legs to give the Bills life and made a perfect throw to Chris Hogan in huge moments of the game. This kid keeps showing he is a winner...don't understand why people are knocking him. The Bills have problems (missing weapons, offensive line play, penalties) but Tyrod is not one of them.
  5. The next several weeks will be very interesting for Goff against all of the best Pac 12 defenses. If he performs, then he has to be the top QB coming out and could be compared to Matt Ryan like some have said. Cook seems like another Chad Henne kind of guy. Solid, not spectacular and wins but probably will need a solid run game and Defense to be successful at the NFL level. This Lynch is a guy to keep an eye on.
  6. If Sammy can't go, have to have Goodwin in the game plan more because they have to throw the ball downfield more to beat the Bengals. With that said, the line has not been blocking well enough. When the Bills ran yesterday, it seemed like it always a D-linemen breaking through to make a play in the backfield (Casey, Morgan, etc) and not a safety coming up in run support.
  7. He is a really interesting prospect. Has a big game coming up. If he keeps playing well, could rise like Bortles did a couple of years ago.
  8. If the O-Line blocks and Sammy plays, should matchup well with the Bengals.
  9. Ugly but have to win these kinds of games to be a playoff team. Tyrod is the man... but what is up with the offensive line? And when do the flags start going the Bills way?
  10. Have to admit that the play of Cordy Glenn has been disappointing along with Wood all season. Against the Giants, S.Henderson just couldn't block Kerry Wynn, which was surprising. With Incognito and Miller in there, the line fits Roman's offense well. I wouldn't mind seeing Kouiandjio at LT and maybe even Ikard at C. The skill positions fit well.
  11. Tyrod is different than Blake in a lot of ways. He's more accurate and poised than Vick was at this age. His poise and sudden quickness in the pocket really resembles Russell Wilson. If he keeps playing like this and the defense can become what it is supposed to be, he will win a lot of games.
  12. The throw was late but it showed that R.Woods has below average speed for a WR in the NFL and Landon Collins can close. Not on Taylor.
  13. It would be a big improvement if they just called the game fairly and only call the penalties that are real and affect the play. I've always thought Basketball playoffs was the worst but watching the first four weeks in the NFL this year has me rethinking that.
  14. It's tough when you can't run the ball against a 4 man front with two high safeties. Really disappointing performance by the O-Line, in particular Urbick, S.Henderson and E.Wood. They made K.Wynn look like an All-Pro yesterday. They should match up well with the Titans front but we'll see how it plays out.
  15. Bad loss for sure. Made some stupid mistakes for sure and Bradham missing that tackle was huge but the referees....wow!! The refs stat line was way more productive in yards and points (taken away) than any player or unit today. When will this end? I can't stand to watch it much more.
  16. 31-13 Bills Running game should be good and defense should get some turnovers
  17. Let Glenn walk, slide S.Henderson to LT and Kouandijo starts at RT. The line might improve with Glenn leaving. Draft a young tackle in 16 in this deep draft for depth that can develop into a starter. Get Gilmore locked up long term and maybe his 16 number isn't as bad. Might have to also look at Tyrod Taylor's contract here soon if he keeps winning and playing like this.
  18. It seems like there are some guys with upside, but that need time to develop (Cardale Jones, C.Hackenburg). They might be second day picks if they come out. Then there are guys that are good, but don't have elite traits (Goff, C.Cook, Doughty, Kessler). There are some other guys who could get looks (D.Prescott, K.Hogan, G.Kiel, Golson) but need productive seasons to be in the talk. It's likely one or more of these guys will be taken in round 1 but just not sure if they are really worth that pick.
  19. This draft looks deep at D-Line and maybe Offensive tackle. Might not be a true first round pick at QB.
  20. The Colts will get better throughout the season. They don't have any receivers getting separation against man coverage so its tough against pressure teams like the Bills or Jets. I have a feeling they will play much better against the Titans this week. The Jets are good and very similar to the Bills. Have to think though the Bills have a little more talent and that the Jets might suffer some injuries to some of those older players throughout the season. Each game is all about matchups. The Jets and Bills were both bad matchups for the Colts early in the season. That might be different later on. Have to think the Bills will match up well with the Jets. I just remember how poorly Fitz/Chan played against Rex Ryan defenses when he was in Buffalo.
  21. Oh boy....you are questioning the PI call on Fletcher. Really?? On the Hughes play, I guess if Bradham's was PI then Hughes was too. No contact that harms the play and slaps the ball out of his hands at the end. Both were faceguarding. I'll review the game later today and try to catch the block in the back. Get back to you on that. From memory, Thigpen had gotten the ball to around mid-field for the offense with a 7-0 lead and a charged up crowd. The pats looked clearly rattled. Last time I checked, the spot of the ball can be challenged. That whole challenge flag situation was probably more Rex's fault than anyone but it quieted the crowd the way it played out. Please break down the unsportsmanlike penalties. I'd like to get a NE fan explanation of how this all was fair. Aaron Williams and all of the Bills clearly lost their cool after a few of those "bad" calls that happen from time to time. It changed the game and the score was 21-7 after it all played out.
  22. -How about the block in the back on the punt return after the NE 3 and out in the first quarter with Bills up 7-0. Crowd gets quiet...never saw that penalty.. was it real? -The challenge flag Rex threw clearly came on the field prior to the snap. Broke the momentum more and crowd got quieter. -How about the offensive pass interference call on Sammy Watkins in second half when Bills were building momentum. Turned back a 20 yd gain. -Defensive holding on Darby, extending drive when Bills were building momentum. No way thats holding.... -Not one holding call on Pats all day on 59 pass attempts!! -Running into the kicker instead of roughing the kicker in key moment when Bills needed a break. -All of the unsportsman like penalties could have been called either way or called once and let go. Bad officiating. Gave the momentum of the game to Pats. -The Bradham call was icing on the cake. No way that call should be made without it being clear PI. I know Pats fans will say look at penalty yards. Every year that STAT is close but its the penalties impact on the game. The Pats always get the key call when they need it to change the game. It wasn't just yesterday, its every game I can remember for a long time.
  23. Have to work those seams on play action to make those aggressive linebackers pay. The Bills offense will be fine. If they can win time of possession each week and put up 20+ points, they'll be a playoff team.
  24. Wonder if its worth a call to Chip to see what he would give for EJ today??
