  1. I do, too, though some folks here will be conflicted.
  2. That never happens here . . .
  3. Fella also claims he's not envious at all of our qb. He's just pleased as punch with his rag-ahhmed game manager. Ah, well, ghosts probably lose a good bit of intellect in the transition into the afterlife and this poor soul probably didn't have much to begin with.
  4. This interpretation does not feed a larger, non-football agenda, therefore, cannot possibly be true.
  5. Time to call an exorcist.
  6. Decades of misery here and folks forget faster than a goldfish.
  7. Pretty sure he is on record that if you do not go to the games, you are only nominally a fan. Those of us who live in different states are tolerated (or not.) I surmise if you agree with him, you are more tolerable . . .
  8. I had not discerned that kind of intent. If that is what's he is aiming for, not at all decent.
  9. I like him. He's a character, but this was not very nice. I'm rather opposed to banning. I don't like censorship or the equivalent -- mass condemnation of minority opinions and ostracization of those who dare break with consensus.
  10. The thread title is not in the subjunctive (not in the conditional if X then Y). It's a simple declarative sentence Beasley flipping out at McDermott. Here follows the OP. "I got back late last night so didn't see game thread or re-watch the game so not sure if it was discussed...... But after a 3rd down pass to Beasley went incomplete he ran off the field screaming at McDermott and throwing his hand at him in frustration. McDermott was walking briskly in his direction like he wanted to kick his ass....... but at the last second appeared to be pretending to not notice him. Someone on staff spun Beasley by the shoulder and escorted him to the bench area. Beasley was pacing around audibly yelling "I'm done, I'm done". Did you guys see this on the broadcast? Was it discussed in the postgame? The entire narrative is one of eyewitness report. The ask for corroboration is quickly followed by an editorial. I guess that's probably just 2021 Beasley being 2021(in 2022) Beasley but it was noteworthy. I'd say it's more than neutral reporting. The slant has had predictable divisiveness along predictable lines.
  11. I think this would have come up as a topic of discussion in the media class if it was an actual event, especially given Antonio Brown's recent meltdown, so I am skeptical.
  12. You need to be able to run, but it's a passing league. The best qbs usually win the big games.
  13. I'm old. When I was a kid back in the seventies, Vikes were my B team because, you know, we never made the playoffs. Tarkenton Vikings and Bills are combined 0 - 8 in SB, so perfect. But yes, Bears are a solid choice as well.
  14. Even then, you probably have to trade up, but it might be close enough to think about. (I don't think he'll run poorly, though.)
  15. We should win. We're the better team. It's just that the anguish of losing to the Pats* in a year of SB expectations is such a horrific thought one can hardly bear to think about it.
  16. Too bad the Vikings fired their GM. I think he did a fine job and if you have a GM in place, you're in better position to hire a coach quickly.
  17. I'd like to see him land the Vikings job. There's a lot of talent on that team (and its NFC).
  18. I think he gets a HC gig.
  19. Yes, I started out thinking Chargers having to make the trip East and their dope coach who goes for it on fourth down in ridiculous contexts, but as the game went along, I thought, well, Chargers take dumb penalties and they make lots of mistakes, but Herbert erases a lot of them.
  20. Allen is usually very good on the qb sneak, but in that critical situation on the goal line, an RPO gives you more room to diagnose and choose the best option. It wasn't a great call.
  21. The face of a rat, the voice of Kermit. His bad throws are always someone else's fault.
  22. Some folks complain about the long ball, but if Josh can master that check down over the middle, the offense gets a lot harder to stop. To be honest, I've assumed Josh just didn't want to take it, but difficulty completing the pass may account for some resistance to throw it.
