The Bills were high bidders for Waddle, tried acquiring Williams

Gotta hand it to ya, Brandon. You've got the magic touch. -
Can everyone just take a freakin breath?

Get over yourself. Some of us have been waiting over fifty years for a Super Bowl victory. The Josh Allen window is finite, and the current regime is wasting it. -

Regression towards the mean was always likely. Then you need a competent WR room, but the defense needed fixing, so lots of folks were happy to put that on the back burner. -

The GM built a bad WR room. The OC does dim things. The head coach is an enabler. The owner is not bright and makes bad decisions. We were gifted Josh Allen and they are finding a way to Philip Rivers him. -
That ought to be a fireable offense. Likely isn't.

I agree, although that's not the offense they should want. -

Should have traded for Achane. -
It would still be Terry Pegula making the decision. That's a sobering thought, because he's not good at it. It's true there would be lots of solid folks wanting the job.

Week 10, 11/09/25 Around the NFL (no Bills talk please)
Dr. Who replied to Ridgewaycynic2013's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't forget missing an extra point against the Pats*. I live near Athens, and before that was in Atlanta for decades. They are typically an annoying and unlikeable team, more so this year. -

I agree, but after over fifty years of following the team, I don't want to win at any cost. Hoecht is a leader. Wilkins is decidedly not. -

No to Wilkins. -
It isn't meaningless when it costs them the #1 seed. Great that they are good at executing plays they can count on. Sometimes that turns into predictability in crucial moments, and some of those haven't turned out well in the big games. Regardless, it would still be a good thing to have a better, more reliable boundary receiver as a tool in the kit.

Beane doesn't answer to the fans. The fanbase absolutely does care about championships.

That's really when I pay attention, but I'm more a casual fan.

I guess I'm a barbarian for preferring hockey and football, but baseball is a sport with beautiful rhythms that come from the long season with many plot twists. This was easily one of the most memorable World Series that I can recall.

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
Dr. Who replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
That would probably be the price to trade within the division. I personally do not want to waste a year of Josh's prime, and I think this is the level of move that is needed to optimize your chances. Doubt it happens, though. -
The NHL is easily worse than the NFL. I don't think the bad calls are randomly distributed so that it all evens out in the end. You're free to think otherwise.

We need insight from the rabbits from the astral plane. I'm sure they would have a viable solution.
