  1. During the broadcast last night, I heard Davis at #22, probably Kiper/McShay, not sure. I'm a Dawgs' fan, so I likely overrate UGA players, but he sure seems like a perfect fit. There's a ton of talent on that D. I also think George Pickens the big WR whose been hurt all year might be a draft steal if his stock falls because of the injury that has kept him off the field most of the season.
  2. It was terrible clock management. Saban would have been the same way. It's how you win championships.
  3. I don't see how expanding the playoffs is the remedy when the top of the SEC is clearly better than everyone else. I'm a Dawgs' fan. Live near Athens, so not shedding any tears. Bama is the gold standard. They're beatable this year, but they are to UGA what the Pats* have been for the Bills prior to recent years. Hopefully it will be a good game; I expect the D will come up with something to make it more competitive second time around.
  4. "Your rag arm qb can't make that throw."
  5. Clearly, it was a resonance from bizarro world. Around Christmas, the porosity between dimensions of the multiverse is greater . . .
  6. Lasso of truth. Also, I think I may be hypnotized.
  7. Okay, you being Jerry Sullivan explains a lot.
  8. After glow, dude. Gotta savor the moment. That is having a life.
  9. He does, but unfortunately he only gains two yards.
  10. Does that sort of counter-magic juju work? I am skeptical and too busy just now poking pins in my Mac Jones voodoo doll.
  11. The problem with penalties is they often have little to do with reality. Just don't trust the zebras, especially when the Pats* or Tom Brady is involved. I do think Hodgkins may provide a redzone presence.
  12. I sent you a PM. You continue to utterly misread the nature of my post.
  13. Fella, you're still not getting it. I logged in to agree with you. When I told you not to bother, I was rhetorically mimicking the opinion of those you are attempting to persuade. Anyway, if you cannot discern the nature of what I am writing, there's litte chance any good will come of it. In general, they erase and censor views that are not lockstep with progressive mantras on this site. Ordinarily, I don't trouble myself with it. You are certainly not going to convince the righteous Left, but do your thing if you like.

  14. If you're not really a cat, I'm going to be disappointed.
  15. Fella, I'm telling you what the folks who disagree with you are implying in the posts that follow yours. But you know what, you're on your own. I'll delete the post.
  16. Nope. If it's Dawkins just back vs. Bobby Hart, Dawkins will start.
  17. Yes, the situation is more complex than a purely private situation. If fans get mad at Star for his availability issues, this is a form of that issue. (And I am generally pretty amenable to the dissenting view on this particular matter because I find the government intrusion/media propaganda coercive, moralizing, and selectively hostile to protest.) Nonetheless, if you are paid as an entertainer and can't show up for a performance, expect backlash. Add in the decades of support involved in sports' fandom and the limited windows most teams have for a legit chance at a SB -- how many Bills' fans have lost loved ones over the years who missed out on a championship -- it's a real thing.
  18. When Bobby Hart at LT is your best option in the most important game of the year . . .
  19. You're also fully lacking in decency. Don't bring politics in on Christmas and don't wish the death of folks you disagree with.
  20. The first time someone posted this alleged joke, it was roundly criticized. It takes rare genius to try it a second time expecting better results. Cruel and unclever is a bad combination.
  21. Well, we'll see if this year is typical or not. Whether the tear down initially institututed was necessary is separate for this argument. McDermott's first teams were not designed to win against the better teams. Last year is the first year one could reasonably expect wins in that scenario, so your analysis is not convincing to me. I strongly suspect significant attention will be given to the oline in the offseason. If they get that right, Allen is so good he will elevate the play of the offensive playmakers on the team. I expect McD would have more success in that case. If not, your projection becomes more plausible.
  22. I personally wanted to hire Frank Reich at the time, but this is premature pessimism which you luxuriate in on a regular basis.
  23. Sounds like a blind date with a girl described as good personality, but going to hope for the best.
