  1. He thinks there's an award for being the most annoying, obtuse poster. If there were, he'd win in a landslide.
  2. Nah, it's the Winter Soldier vs. Ratface Kermit.
  3. CNN will see an otherwise inexplicable spike in viewership.
  4. It shouldn't be that way, though. I know where your politics are; I'm definitely more conservative. Don't care. You're one of my pals here -- and I can recognize integrity and the many aspects that make a unique person irreplaceable even in those I disagree with. (Of course, I refrain from polemical conversations for the most part. I have experienced strained friendships over such differences.)
  5. Sometimes I am nostalgic for the utter naivete of the pre-social media world. I was free to imagine the world of Bills' fans as uniformly decent and loyal. Alas, humanity . . .
  6. Thanks so much for sharing. It's profoundly gratifying when someone whose public persona you admire is matched by private kindness.
  7. Good to know. Not a fan of either, really. Any interaction with Kobe? I liked that fella.
  8. He was also effusive in his praise of Allen on PTI. The old guys in the balcony barely grumbled in response. Guess I'll have to give him credit, though why a grown man carries around the Booger moniker by choice is beyond me.
  9. UGA victory, Braves win. Just waiting on the Bills for a trifecta.
  10. Nearly everyone is okay with Josh running in a playoff game and late season games that are crucial. Folks are concerned if you make that a regular feature throughout the season the risk of injury and the shortening of Josh's career are increased. It's not a ridiculous worry.
  11. He had Christmas dinner with a random Polish family. I think he likes it here. Make him a good offer and keep the fella. We need that burner speed in this offense.
  12. I'd be surprised, but that's horse racing . . . well, it's not, it's football, but I surmise you get the analogy. If Bills are not in the playoffs, I'm straight out rooting for the Bengals. I like that team, but they've seemed inconsistent to me. Also, I think the thug toughness of the Titans is underestimated. Like the niners, they play an ugly style that wins.
  13. This is so obvious as to be self-evident. Strange thing to be in denial about.
  14. Beat Rat face at home by 18 points. Down Tre White, up Milano. We'll see, but I think we are the slightly better team.
  15. Simpson's heinous crime was well after his playing years and widely condemned. The Bills do not keep scum character players because they are talented. That's the Chief's MO. Jerk comment.
  16. Just another reason to hate them. I don't think the Bengals win it. Too young, I think they get punched in the mouth. But I'm rooting for them. Much better if they lose in Orchard Park.
  17. I had the same experience on the rewatch. When you know the result, the dramatic achievement of the moment which decides how an event will play out is necessarily missing. Euphoria is the joy of victory. You just can't replicate that. I did note that Josh's last incompletion was early in the 2nd qtr. Our ability to run really dictated that game as much as the superlative passing game. They fed off each other and it truly makes the offense close to unstoppable. Avoid turnovers and you win.
  18. Damn, I have to agree with Gene1973.
  19. Yes, I was using a euphemism because that particular slant quickly becomes a topic that derails into polemical bickering. But I agree with you.
  20. Been wrong about that for decades. Thanks for the correction.
  21. And the baseball scenes were filmed at Pilot Field (aka as Sahlen Field and a host of others.) Along with Jeremiah Johnson, among the best of Redford's efforts and arguably the greatest baseball movie ever made. You're missing out.
  22. Saw that on History channel the other day. Who knew that tough cowboy was wearing pantyhose beneath his chaps?
  23. Don't care for the new crowd at all. If you can find them on one of those retro channels, Dick Cavett had some really interesting actual conversations with folks. But seems it's mostly all about cheap laughs and bowing down to the topic of the day, so I tune out.
