  1. Cannot take Bonnetta. I thought Jane Slater was fine, today. I like Kay, but everyone needs to step away and recharge now and again.
  2. I want Jameson, but Booth is the one defensive player that has a chance to be there @25 I don't see Beane passing up. I won't complain, but they better have a trade up in round 2 for wr if it plays out that way. (But I think he goes way earlier, to be honest.)
  3. Apparently Tottenham Hotspur stadium is a reasonable template. Designed by the same firm and similar size, though soccer pitch. I'm not worried. I'm sure it will be pleasing. And best of all, it keeps the Bills in Buffalo.
  4. I honestly think Nakobe Dean would come in as a rookie and outplay him, because Dean has the instincts for football, though not a physical specimen like Edmonds. (But I want a top wr in the first, and if we don't go there, it will likely be cb, so the point is moot.)
  5. You mean Christian Watson, I think. I was thinking second round for both, but from comments in the Watson thread, looks like he may go in the first.
  6. I would include Dotson as a wr I'd be comfortable taking @ 25. If the run on wr starts to look like they are all gone before our pick, I hope Beane considers a trade up, though I'd be happy with Booth at cb if he somehow is still on the board. Otherwise, I like Pickens in the 2nd, but you probably need to trade up to early in the second to make certain you get him. I don't think this is a stand pat and let the draft come to you year.
  7. He is less risk averse, yet for some reason in the middle of the KC game we went conservative and just threw away several drives. At the end of the game, there were inexcusable errors. You've got to be sharp in the crucial moments and there is certainly room for growth there . . .
  8. I want Olave or Williams in the first. I would trade up a bit to get them. If it's cb in the first, I am trading up in the second to get George Pickens.
  9. Or maybe Beane trades up a bit and takes Williams. I don't think that is outside the realm of possibility. Keeping him away from KC is a not inconsiderable bonus.
  10. He can scowl real nice from the sideline.
  11. The best case would be Ford resurrects his career under Kromer's tutelage and we receive some value for an apparent bust, but Kromer values athleticism, and Ford's RAS is not good. If you can get someone to offer you a late draft pick, that's probably the best you are going to do.
  12. The returns are not economic, for sure. The return is without the Bills, you are Toledo, OH.
  13. Well, I can't blame you for that . . . let's just hope the small sample size with Bates was the real deal, because the oline was certainly playing well end of season and playoffs.
  14. This has repeatedly been addressed in the thread. If you go the 2nd round tender route, you face free agency again next year and end up paying more if Bates has a good year. If you think he is a starter for multiple years, Beane's strategy was precisely correct, but you are always the smartest fella in the room, I guess.
  15. Waiting for the homeless Baker commercial.
  16. There is no way Dotson is there in the 2nd for us. I think late 1st round is his floor for when he will be drafted. I live near Athens; UGA fan. Pickens has been my sleeper pick for wr if we go cb in the 1st, but he'll go early 2nd, so you'd have to trade up to get him most likely. I like Skyy Moore, but he's a smurf. Back to UGA players, James Cook as a mid-round rb would be a great third down back. Don't know about blitz pickups, but he's sneaky elusive and a natural playmaker.
  17. Happy Birthday, fella.
  18. If they pass on Olave for cb, I would understand it but not be happy. The Jets should hire you for GM. That's a nice draft for them.
  19. I think you should take into account that McD runs a cb friendly defense and if there is one area where the coaching staff has shown itself able to coach up talent, its defensive backs. They can find someone they can work with in the second. There are five or six top end wrs coming out. Unlike in the old days, wrs are coming into the league more skilled, or at least developed for the contemporary NFL game. The game is changed. We need to get one on a rookie contract and match the arms race that the AFC has suddenly become. If it keeps a top level talent from the Chiefs, that's a plus. Hey, I resemble that tooth thing . . .
  20. Neither is there at #25, though Olave could be close. Don't want to see KC go up and grab him.
  21. Clearly you and I have a different definition of fun.
