I dunno. I have directv streaming. I googled it and read there was some issue few years back and they don't carry NFL Network. Anyway, it's not on my menu and I have one of the upper end packages.

No way she was making 80K annual.
-
When I first read your post, I thought you were swearing at me.
-
I'm biased against Philly and she doesn't speak Polish, so I can't quite follow you there. I do like her or Jane Slater as replacement, though. I recently switched to Directv and they don't carry NFL Network, so doesn't really matter to moi.

Yes, I am advocating for trading up from 25. I would spend next year's first if it meant grabbing Jameson Williams.
-
It's a good counterargument. I usually agree with you, so I'll add some credits on the other side of the ledger. I would mortgage next year's top pick . . . it's going to be late.
-
Davis is not locked in. I think he is going to be a solid #2, but he's actually been inconsistent. A few outstanding games do not make him a sure thing. Regardless, I think Jameson Williams can be electric scary as a receiver and adding him would supercharge the danger of Josh Allen and the passing offense. I would trade up to get him -- and also to keep him away from KC and GB. If you are just thinking in general and saying WR in college is producing more pro ready players, yes, that's true, but that doesn't mean one pretty good receiver is as good as another.
-
Yes, Walker is an unknown as receiver. If you are emphasizing receiving skills at rb, go get James Cook later in the draft. If you want a rb to take the tough yards running burden off of Allen, I think Walker is a guy to consider. I would prefer not to use a first rounder on a rb, though if they do, I'll be hoping Hall is the second coming of Thurman Thomas. (I also think you could probably trade back from 25 and still get Hall, btw.)
-
I agree with this, but you don't have to pick rb in round 1 to accomplish it. If you are just talking running ability, Walker @ 57 is better and imo a better resource management fit. Spend 1st rounders to control cost at premium positions.
-
I think he will probably be around in the third. If you are picking rb at 57, it's probably Kenneth Walker who doesn't have a track record as receiver, but that doesn't mean he can't do it and he's the best runner in the draft, imo. (And I am an UGA fan and very much like Cook; would be happy if we get him.)
-
Yep, and if you factor in the new going price for top WR, it makes much more sense to invest 1st rd at that position to get five years of controlled cost. I'll repeat myself one more time: I think if you are Beane, assume late first next year is what you are dealing if you trade the 2023 pick. The top of the draft may allow for slightly less pay out to move up, because it appears to be a buyer's market since there are no marquee qbs. I just read the Giants may have cap problems fitting in two early round firsts per what salary is slotted for those picks. Beane and Schoen, one presumes, have a very good relationship. Get ahead of KC and GB, and all those clever folk on TV that just can't wait to "it's just not fair, but wouldn't it be great?" see Jameson Williams helping out Mahomes. The next Tyreek Hill needs to be in red, white, and blue.

CEH is pretty much universally seen as a disappointment and is generally used on the "don't take RB in the first" side of the argument. I won't hate Hall if the cupboard is bare at other positions, but for me, CB, WR, OL, are above RB on team needs and I also think Kenneth Walker is going to be the better pro, but if Hall is Thurman Thomas redux, of course you want him.

Happy Birthday, Joe.

My strong preference would be to trade up for Jameson. Lot of pundits playing GM talking about KC trading up for the next Tyreek Hill. No one mentions the Bills. We need to be proactive. There are three cbs I would be good with in the first as well; Sauce, Stingley, and Booth. The only one of those players that might fall close to 25 is Booth. This is a year where I hope Beane's good relationship with Schoen allows a trade up to 7. I absolutely would trade next year's first, which you have to believe is late, hopefully 32, in order to grab one of the few dynamic players at a position that merits the first round pick.

Name some good outside cornerbacks with sub 30 inch arms.

He might be an outlier, but I don't think the Bills draft him. -
Lbs are the rbs of the defense for the most part. You can get one on day two who is starter material if you need one. Unless Edmunds is part of a trade, he will play out his fifth year contract. He will probably play better with the revamped DT room. How much better will determine his future in Buffalo, but most likely this is his last year, imo. No need to address the position with urgency this year. The top of the draft is likely cb, wr, ol, possibly rb.
-
There's just not enough Edmunds talk on this board. Thanks OP.
-
I personally prefer Kenneth Walker. You could probably get him at 57.
-
They need a rule change. NHL is the one league I almost never trust to get it right (MLB is a close second, but I don't much care about baseball.)
-
Well, OJ Howard is a one year deal and they might not be sure they can keep Knox (which I would hate after developing him.)
-
Maybe he's a dope and immature and a malcontent. If it's all that, then it's too much, but there might be extenuating circumstances for being unhappy like the above post indicates. Immature you can work on. I don't think you can fix stupid. Let's say he's not a rockhead. Then the reason you might take him on and pass on one of the talented wrs available in the draft is if you rate his talent as first round level. If you get a wr with that tier in a later round, you can invest the first two or three picks elsewhere and still get a wr with impact potential. Anyway, that's the argument for looking into it, which I'm pretty sure Beane will do his due diligence on.
-
If the character issues are manageable, you could conceivably get Booth @25, Kenneth Walker @ 57, and Toney for a third. I'd sign up for that.
-
Doubtful. Even if you throw Poyer and 25 in as part of the trade, you're trading next year's first and probably more to get up to 7.
-
I actually think Kenneth Walker III is a solid choice for us if we're thinking early round rb, but I won't complain about Hall.
-
I really want Jameson, but doesn't look likely. I still think you try and trade back if you can into the top of the second round if Hall is your choice.
