  1. I have searched the internet at various times looking for a product that does not appear to exist. I'm not a fan of duck bill caps. Just never liked them. I wear roadsters, Irish caps, that sort of thing. It appears the only kind of Bills' hat is the duck bill. If anyone knows of alternatives, I'd be pleased to know about it. Thanks.
  2. I seem to be offending all sorts of folks today. Didn't know I had stumbled into your prerogative. Apologies. Hapless is a very bright, fine fella. My view of what is happening topside appears to be eccentric. Everyone has to form their own judgment. I can't alter my own just to please other folks.
  3. Sorry, I thought I was clear. Perhaps not. The main board is the place with the ban on political speech.
  4. I'm not really looking for your approval to be here, but thanks for the advice.
  5. Pointed out in polite language that it was at least interesting that the ban on political speech in the forum putatively dedicated to sports seems to have been mysteriously lifted. Same folks who got very upset at the slightest hint of a political opinion are now going full bore SJW apotheosis. Fella who runs the site snidely informed that I've been here for 17 years without paying for the privilege. So, as per usual, liberal hypocrisy is their own version of sharia law.
  6. I called you out on your indecency and callow triumphalism. You're not capable of a sustained, humane discussion. Lots of folks are cowed by zeal and numbers. I'm not interested in your emotive blackmail or desire to impugn everyone who shares a different view.
  7. Prior to this current moment in America, any hint of political interest or discussion was frowned upon in this forum. You were told to remember board etiquette and likely had your post erased or moved elsewhere if you expressed a cultural view beyond a narrow scope of sports. That does not seem to be the case now. Many who roundly applauded silencing political speech or at least moving it to one of those somewhat sketchy back rooms in the house, are openly and repeatedly telling folks what thoughts and actions are righteous and if you disagree you are a judged a bad person. One fella who is not a fan of the Buffalo Bills is certain of what constitutes victory and where history is going, all that abstractions of questionable merit. There's a certitude and fury in some reminiscent of Dicken's Madame Defarge. The list of prescribed enemies is easily indulged. For some, if you're old, you're worthless and already pretty much counted as dead. If you agree with a particular ideological agenda on the issues, of course, you at least have the consolation of being on the victorious side apparently. Those who exhibit an appreciation for equivocity, for the complexity of ethical issues, who show generosity of spirit and humor are to be applauded. Too bad for many these very virtues are a sign of moral compromise if not covert bigotry and evil.
  8. I like the old Neanderthal days when sports was relatively free of overt political agendas. Something like the Olympics is a different matter where national identification is part of the pageantry and drama. Fine with me if other folks embrace the opposite, but when networks like ESPN become dominated by something other than actual sporting events, I tend to tune out.
  9. What percentage of your 8 posts are dedicated to this topic?
  10. So, in Nazi Germany, the law was that Jews and various others like gypsies and homosexuals were subhuman and it was alright to imprison and ultimately exterminate them. Was that okay? If not, why not? The rationale of legal positivism is that what is right is defined simply by what the law says. If you disagree, what criteria founds the basis of disagreement?
  11. You seem to have an agenda -- it's almost as if you created an account to spew this stuff.
  12. Reasonable and decent response. Be nice if that were the norm.
  13. Alright clever fellow -- the initial post is recognized by those who are enjoying it to be a frivolous display. No one really needs to be told that there's a difference between a real game and this kind of ad hoc practice. The umbrage of those who feel the need the explain to all those engaged in "undilutated irrational praise" that nothing really demonstrative is happening here is more akin to Puritan sanctimony before folks trying to enjoy a little festivity on a nice summer day, especially given the fact that most of us are cooped up for extended periods in our houses. So, it's harmless vicarious happiness. But do carry on, it's enchanting.
  14. Fake Latin names are neologisms that play a role in the joke you are missing in the same manner you missed the point of the thread.
  15. And Doususenthusiasmus DImus, who announces himself by claiming not to be himself right below a response explaining the nature of the thread.
  16. Ah, the annoying Formicidae Dismalus, always ready to pronounce gloomy skepticism at the Sunday picnic. And the ever present, Diptera Missingthepointus.
  17. Well, CNN is conveniently based in Atlanta -- and a mob isn't particularly known for rational acts. Nonetheless, deliciously ironic that the dim propagandists who work for that network and have incited and amplified rage and validated the rioters as righteous protestors should get a taste of the brew they have materially contributed to.
  18. Lot of likeable fellas on this team, but Josh Allen is my favorite.
  19. Still trying to figure out which cup has the orange under it.
  20. It was that 89 fella. Seemed to me he knew something at one time, though now that you mention it, I may be confusing him with 39. I agree on Eichel. My impression of Botts which could be utterly wrong is that he is a decent, industrious fella, but I don't sense creativity. You need some to be a good tactician. I also think he is seen by other GMs as someone you can take advantage of -- that ROR deal did him and the team no favors. Anyway, since he's getting one last shot, I hope for all our sakes he is successful.
  21. Fella who posts at Sabres Hockeybuzz says Eichel wants out and it will become more clear soon. He's had inside information before, so I don't think it can be dismissed out-of-hand. In general, hard to see much to fend off despair with this team. To balance it out, there is talent on the team. A competent GM would make 3 - 4 shrewd moves and you could see a playoff team. Just not confident we have that GM.
  22. Post-war trauma and despondency are in themselves terrible ordeals with manifold destructive consequences. None of that precludes honoring those who served or the belief that their service was worthwhile. Telling folks to shut up if they haven't experienced those specific horrors is pretty much the opposite of the kind of freedom of thought and speech this country was founded to promote.
  23. Knox becoming a more reliable receiver would also dramatically affect Josh Allen. As Ron Jaworski likes to say "qb is a dependent position." Without superior play at TE, Lamar Jackson doesn't become MVP. I am also enthused about Moss. Now we only need the season to actually happen.
