Clearly the cost-effective solution is to stop developing these players being drafted. Let them stay sucky. It’s cheaper.

What year you became a Bills fan and Two Bills Drive camaraderie
WotAGuy replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
1. 1968 was the first season I remember following the Bills. Have a scrapbook from the 1968-1969 seasons I made as a 10-year old fan. 2. My first memory is of going to the Rockpile, which was a dank, dark, gray cesspool to walk through, and stepping into the entrance to the field and seeing the bright green grass, painted Bills logo and those blue jerseys. We had black and white TVs then, so the colors were shocking and amazing. 3. Favorite memory is being at the AFC championship win over the Raiders; I remember staring up into the sky with the snow falling, tears in my eyes and wishing my father was alive to see the Bills going to the Super Bowl. 4. Favorite players are OJ (as a kid fan) and Thurman (as an adult fan). Current favorite is Josh Allen; he’s as much fun and more exciting to watch than OJ was. 5. I chose my name to emphasize my incredible humility. -

Guess he can drop that lawsuit now.

I hear ya. I had seasons in the late 90s until 2010, mostly to have a guaranteed playoff ticket. You can guess how that worked out. For the 2-3 games I want to go to during Sept-Oct I just buy resale and will deal with the playoff ticket cost via resale.

I was gonna come on here and say it is getting impossible for wide receivers to be first ballot HOFers. Boy, was I off base.

If you are selling off many games on the secondary market and bitching about the low return, just buy tickets on the secondary market and ditch the seasons. If you aren’t going to every game, maybe the economics will work out.

More often than not, the Super Bowl is not a good game, often not competitive and often sloppy. This year’s game started great but injuries during the game made a negative impact. If a Super Bowl is close and goes down to the wire, that’s the best you can hope for given the off-the-charts hype leading up to it. The game was pretty slow in the middle but I enjoyed the whole thing a lot, especially knowing football is over for quite a while.

I mean, it was no “Up With People”, but it was alright for the youngsters. That Mary J Bilge has rather large thighs.

Thanks for posting this; loved it!

Perhaps because the old one is a safety hazard and is at the end of its useful life without considerable reconstruction?

I was thinking of starting a thread about cringe-worthy lyrics after listening to Jimmy Buffett’s Livingston Saturday Night: So won't you listen to the sound of a hot country band, Boot heels are shufflin' on the dance floor Sam Sing a song, play some pong, shoot a little pool, Hittin' on the honeys right out of high school Yeah, fifteen may get you twenty, But that's all right, 'Cause they be rockin and a rollin' On a Livingston Saturday Night

I appreciate whenever someone posts links like these. Thank you! Great interview.

Quinton Spain comments on release from the Bills

Isn’t that your main motivation for working for a living? -
My wife and I were coming home from a concert at CMAC. We were both completely sober. I was driving and on some backroads to avoid traffic heading for the Thruway. Came to a blinking yellow light at the crest of a hill and I began to make a left turn. A car came flying up over the crest of the hill and I hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to stop or go but neither seemed like it would avoid a crash. I floored it and made the turn. It was a 2010 Prius, so flooring it doesn’t really do much. We made it though the intersection and I immediately pulled over. I had the sensation of being….transported is the only way I can describe it. I felt like we had been in the crash but somehow time got turned back. We sat in silence for a few moments and I asked my wife if she was ok. I told her the weird sensation I had and how it felt we had actually crashed. She said she felt the same way and couldn’t explain what happened. I’ll never forget that feeling or understand how we didn’t get crushed.

This makes me smile knowing we finally have a franchise QB. And the kid is an awesome person too.

No, but the Patriots do.
