Yeah, there’s a tendency here to jump all over people that bring “inside” information, even relatively harmless tidbits. Not sure if people are jealous or what their problem is. It’s a message board and people come here to find out the latest on their team. If someone finds out an interesting tidbit and brings it to the board with some honest qualifiers, I appreciate the info. But some people coming at the OP with CAPITAL LETTERS seemed ridiculous and petty. I appreciated the OP’s handling of it all. He/she/them seemed confident and self-assured enough to not take it personally which is refreshing.

I think the suspension will be dependent on how loud and long the outrage is.
