  1. Beane handled him well. At one point he chastised McAfee for continuing to bust his balls about letting some of his “favorite players” go. He also had a funny story about Josh doing a bunch of mock drafts and calling Beane to tell him the results.
  2. Interesting. Thanks for doing all that research Boyst. That’s a lot of comp picks.
  3. Davonte Adams ran a 4.56 and was drafted with the 53rd pick. The list goes on and on. All these fools judging Coleman strictly by “draft season” instead of the person and the football player that he is, are really annoying. “my mock draft said he was the 10th best receiver! Oh no, we are doomed!” Lol.
  4. not to me. I think Coleman is the real deal, and if we had traded down again, and missed out on him, I would not be as happy with the draft.
  5. From my buddy that is a die hard UGA fan. (And slowly becoming a Bills fan): “Sedrick Van Pran. 1st team All-SEC. 2nd team AP All American. Remington Award finalist. Voted top OL in the SEC. UGA team Captain and 2 time National Champion. High character, team leader. Steal at the top of the 5th round . Go Bills!” “I can’t believe he was still on the board. I was thinking 2-3 round. He will be a 10 year starter... if you need a center” <I said, we definitely need a center> “He’s your man then. I heard the reason he dropped was that he is a center only and doesn’t play guard.”
  6. I heard a lot of good things about him during the draft process. The common theme was that whoever got him would be getting a very good football player. Another weapon for Josh.
  7. I am honestly surprised by all of the negative comments here. I watched several FSU games last year and was really impressed with Coleman. I am excited he is here and can’t wait to see him on he field. Lots of receivers with “bad 40 times”, have successful NFL careers.
  8. To me, that is not necessarily an indicator of success for WR’s. A big part of why many of the top receivers don’t sign a second contract, is because they are very successful and become too expensive for the team that drafted them to retain them. All the more reason to get a top WR in the first round, to have that extra year on their rookie deal.
  9. Yeah, I kind of feel like Worthy is more likely to drop down to 28 than Thomas is, or, as Gunner said, move up into the 24-27 range to make sure you secure him. (which fits Beane's M.O.)
  10. I really like Odunze, and have seen him compared to TO and Davonte Adams, which is obviously very high praise. Watching his highlights, he appears to be well above average at catching contested balls, and has a ridiculous catch radius. Seeing all of the contested catches does make me wonder how well he will be able to separate in the NFL, but all in all, I would be very excited to get him in Buffalo. He seems built to play in the Buffalo weather. They will be taking Caleb Williams with pick #1, but they also have pick #9.
  11. Yeah, but you remember some of those games being in the PLAYOFFS too.
  12. Well done Alpha! While I expect Beane to trade up, (to the teens for Brian Thomas) rather than down, your explanation is viable. I also think your reasoning for trades and picks, are well thought out and articulated. Kudos.
  13. Jon Bon Jovi has entered the chat…
  14. Round 2 may get be the best time for Beane to trade up, if he doesn’t trade up in round one. (Or if ends up not taking a WR with our first pick)
  15. That was just so that he could be near his QB, Josh Allen's house in the off season. They can work out together in Dana Point.
  16. DID YOU ORDER THE CODE RED?!! You’re damn right I did!
  17. If so, maybe it is one of those "unless our guy is still there" type of deals, that doesn't get announced until the day of the draft.
  18. Agreed. That would mean he played well, earned a starting job, stayed healthy etc., in order to earn those incentives. In which case, the price tag would be worth it.
  19. Or when we trade up and take a Safety.
  20. The A’s always had a really low team salary, we do not. The A’s always traded away their home grown talent, once there was a market for them, we do not. so, maybe, kinda, sorta?…
  21. You're right, Allen is better than Mahomes. I personally would not want the Bills to trade Allen for Mahomes straight up. It is some of the other things that Mahomes has around him, like Andy Reid, that has helped them be more successful. Call it homerism if you want, but I have seen NFL analysts make the same case.
  22. Rebuild? No. Reload? Yes. Anyone who did not expect this kind of roster shake up, do not fully understand what it is like having a high contract QB in the salary cap era. These kind of moves are what it takes to stay competitive. The Chiefs did it with Hill, the Chargers had to move on from Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, the Bengals will have to do it eventually with Higgins etc... I am glad Beane is making the moves now, rather than waiting until it is too late.
  23. ah, my bad. I misread that.
  24. Amen. The over-reaction on this board is hilarious. And for everyone bitching that it is "only" a 2nd round pick, we also got a 6th this year, and a 5th next year. Those picks matter when you are reloading the roster. ***My bad! I misread the announcement. We gave up the 5th and 6th. Wishful thinking on my part I guess. Damn!***
  25. Yeah, I still highly doubt he goes anywhere, but if Houston really wants him, let's ask for Will Anderson in return.
