Rams May Want to Trade Tre White
buffaloboyinATL replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they do, will everybody say they are in rebuilding mode because they are letting go one of their most valuable players on defense? Before the season, the media made a huge deal of us, losing White and Poyer, but most of us knew their best days were in the rear view, unfortunately. -
Godwin injury ... hip drop???
buffaloboyinATL replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they really wanted to eliminate the hip drop tackle, they would enforce it the same way college enforces targeting. Instead, they turned it into a fund raiser. Take money from the players, rather than enforce it on the field? They know that players are willing to take that risk. They would be much less willing if they risk hurting their team via their ejection. THAT would be protecting the players, and would make it happen less often. The NFL is trying to protect the shield, more than they are protecting the players on this one. -
Trade strategies for need positions at deadline

Hello Demarcus Lawrence. (Option that won’t break the bank). -
100% Cooper. It would still be Cooper, even if their compensation was equal.

Yeah, dare I say that Get Up, with the nearly intolerable Jets fan Mike Greenberg, is the better morning football show? I used to enjoy GMFB, but I agree, it ain't what it used to be. They spend too much time patting themselves on the back, and trying to make themselves part of the story these days.

10/20/24 Game 7 GAMEDAY Bills vs Titans post game thread
buffaloboyinATL replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
For those of you who did not hear the game broadcast, they said McDermott made Bass win a kicking contest against the other kicker during practice on Thursday. He had to win to get the start. That is genius! Make him kick for his job, to simulate pressure. I think it helped. Keep it up! -

Would DeMarcus Lawrence, with roughly $5 million remaining in salary this year, fit? (See my post a couple above yours) He is a strong run defender and a capable pass rusher. Would help shore up our defense for the playoffs.
-
If the Cowboys keep losing, we could possibly be able to trade for DeMarcus Lawrence. I am not sure if we could make the contract work, he has a base salary this year of $10 million, but if we could, he would be a difference maker for sure. He has an automatic void next year, with $3 million in dead cap. On top of that, he is currently injured, but will be back in time for the playoffs. (it is unlikely that the Cowboys will need him then) Jerry is going to need as many draft picks as he can get to rebuild their middle class, because with Prescott, Lamb and eventually Parsons, they will be very top heavy. Therefore, Demarcus Lawrence is at the top of my wish list.

Von Miller outlook implications from the Cooper trade

Not to mention the return of Matt Milano. I agree that we could be hitting our stride, just in time for the playoffs. Go Bills!! -

Devin White Released by Eagles. Should we take a flyer?
buffaloboyinATL replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would like us to take a look, but I am curious as to why he did not play at all for the Eagles. (that I can remember) -
Well, I usually change my game wardrobe after a loss, so since we lost last week while I was wearing my Milano jersey, I decided to break out my Josh Allen jersey instead, which I typically only wear when I attend games live. Needless to say, I could tell right away that this decision was impacting our performance, so I went up and changed into a Bills T-shirt towards the beginning of the second quarter. The impact it had on the game was clear, but unfortunately it turned out to be too little, too late. I will try to be better next Monday night...

Smelly Jockstrap Awards (Not Game Balls) vs Texans
buffaloboyinATL replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Dalton Kincaid was one of the few players that stepped up and gave Josh Allen a reliable target. He made an amazing catch on the sideline that was not ruled a catch by the officials, and not challenged by McDermott, but make no mistake, it was an amazing, clutch catch at a crucial moment. -
Do you approve of the job Brandon Beane is doing?
buffaloboyinATL replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, I am still happy with Beane. I think the WR's that we have on this team should be, and still could be, good enough to win games. When you pay your QB the kind of money Josh makes, and take a large cap hit to get rid of a locker room cancer, there is only so much you can do. True WR1's are very expensive right now, and it would be impossible to add one, without cutting corners elsewhere. (and then everyone would B word about that) That said, if there is a chance to add someone like Adams or Amari Cooper, part way through the season, and not mortgage the future, I hope he takes it. -

Week 5 - Bills at Texans Game Week Thread
buffaloboyinATL replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I disagree double G Gregg. (or is is triple G) I think our defense will be a big key to this game. Even though Stroud has been playing well, he is still a second year QB, and McD has a pretty good track record against young QB's. I believe we will shut down their run game, and give Stroud a bunch of looks he hasn't seen before, which will lead to him making mistakes. Hopefully he will become indecisive, which will lead to him holding the ball a beat longer, allowing our defense to get to him early and often. -

I think Mixon being out will be enough to make a big difference in ths game. I hope you are right. -
Yeah, that's true, but I still think it would hurt less, if we got some of our injured defenders back first.
