I really like Odunze, and have seen him compared to TO and Davonte Adams, which is obviously very high praise. Watching his highlights, he appears to be well above average at catching contested balls, and has a ridiculous catch radius. Seeing all of the contested catches does make me wonder how well he will be able to separate in the NFL, but all in all, I would be very excited to get him in Buffalo. He seems built to play in the Buffalo weather. They will be taking Caleb Williams with pick #1, but they also have pick #9.

Well done Alpha! While I expect Beane to trade up, (to the teens for Brian Thomas) rather than down, your explanation is viable. I also think your reasoning for trades and picks, are well thought out and articulated. Kudos.

Agreed. That would mean he played well, earned a starting job, stayed healthy etc., in order to earn those incentives. In which case, the price tag would be worth it.

You're right, Allen is better than Mahomes. I personally would not want the Bills to trade Allen for Mahomes straight up. It is some of the other things that Mahomes has around him, like Andy Reid, that has helped them be more successful. Call it homerism if you want, but I have seen NFL analysts make the same case.

Rebuild? No. Reload? Yes. Anyone who did not expect this kind of roster shake up, do not fully understand what it is like having a high contract QB in the salary cap era. These kind of moves are what it takes to stay competitive. The Chiefs did it with Hill, the Chargers had to move on from Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, the Bengals will have to do it eventually with Higgins etc... I am glad Beane is making the moves now, rather than waiting until it is too late.

OP, thank you for a great, detailed description. I am not a gambler, in part because I am in Georgia and Draft Kings etc. is not an option for me, so I am never quite sure what the odds mean. (aside from knowing which ones are better or worse) So thanks for the gambling 101. That said, I also believe that Diggs will play in Buffalo again this year. I assume that someone could offer a trade that somehow eases the dead cap money if we traded him, or at least makes it worthwhile, but I highly doubt it.

Funny. I was in my car a few weeks ago listening my to NFL radio and I heard an interview with Darius Robinson along with discussions about his background etc…. I wrote myself a note that said “Darius Robinson- I want him- do research”. I am not sure exactly when he will be drafted, but needless to say, I would love to see him on our team.
