  1. It doesn’t have to be that way though. Obviously, you can’t fully replace Allen but look at the 49ers last year. Or the Eagles winning a SB. jacoby Briskett was a statistically top 10 qb when he played last year. Bridgewater was out there. Barkley is one of the worst modern qbs of all time. Allen is just a JAg and there’s a reason he doesn’t last more than a year on any team. its bs to the rest of this roster to just say if Allen gets hurt, seasons over. Because if doesn’t have to be. I would have loved if they tried this. He would have been one of the top backups in the league. But Fitz has a really cushy gig. It’s gotta be tough to leave that.
  2. Dude is pushing 30. He was like 25 in college. I think his upside is pretty limited.
  3. Keenum has actually played good in real and playoff games is a huge difference.
  4. I want the Eagles to get him so they have csn have a Taylor Swift backfield.
  5. Milano is the better player at his position and a better value. But holy crap is this a completely misleading stat. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/nfl-tackles-for-loss-leaders-2022-by-players Every single guy is a d linemen or outside linebacker. It’s like comparing total tackle’s between MLB and OLB. It’s almost like they are completely different positions and have different jobs! this is such a garbage, bitter ex thread. Dude was never said or did one thing negative as a Bill. His only crime was being the MLB of a consistent top ranked defense and getting paid a lot of money. What a loser!
  6. Yeah, it’s wild that they are so locked in on him after 5 games. That said, part of the reason they can let Lance go, is that they have another formed top 5 pick that they believe has talent that KS can get the most out of. personally, I think Darnold is too broken and turnover prone but we will see. No honest Bills fan can disagree with you. We are kinda a soft team. Super talent but run first, physical, defensive teams are our weakness. We need to bury those team with our offense and not let them hang around.
  7. Man, I really wanted Lance. I hate our backups (not as people, very nice guys). but it does make me feel better than Beane was at least in on it. I think Lance would be a great backup/ project qb but can’t fault him for not bidding higher. Really respect him not for at least trying to make the roster better.
  8. I would trade a 7th round for any high draft pick as long as they don’t have a major issues.
  9. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2018/05/17/espns-louis-riddick-thinks-mahomes-will-set-the-league-on-fire-in-2018/ none of these dudes are perfect but he’s one of the best. Makes some bold predictions, win some, lose some.
  10. I do agree that is best for Lance. I definitely think one of the issues for nfl qbs is there is almost zero way to develop them unless you just start them. imagine if nfl teams could use the xfl to develop project qbs that on current nfl rosters.
  11. Allen was a project and this is for backup. Lance, as inexperienced as he is, has a 5 td to 3 int with 85 qb rating. That’s better than the 2 “experienced” guys we currently (Barkley has a career 66.6 qb rating!!!). put me in the camp of guy Shanahan liked who is super experienced over 2 known sucky (but nice guys).
  12. I would Iove this. Dude just hasn’t played. It’s preseason and who cares but he has been showing some signs. Couldn’t think of a better guy for him to learn under than Allen. I bet a 5th would get it done. Then keep one of the vets as insurance. Riddick also called Mahomes before he blew up. He’s about as good as there is at this. Definitely went big on Lance and wasn’t right. Go big or go home.
  13. I was told that once we lost the DC and MLB of our crappy number 2 defense, everything was going to be fine!
  14. His brother passed away not too long ago and I know he was struggling with that. I always thought he was solid and seems like he could have caught on somewhere. but football, for as well as if pays, is a grind if your head isn’t in it. Lazard is a solid number 2 and they have the ghost of Cobb. I think they are going to be a very balance team with their running game.
  15. Eh, depends on the int. If it’s like 3rd and long in your 30 and Allen throws a bomb that get picked, I agree. but turnovers in plus territory and the red zone are certainly worth points.
  16. I didn’t realize who I was dealing with. I have a new found respect for you. 🤝
  17. Simpson was before my time and his after football career wasn’t great. But from what I read/ heard about that 2,000 yard season was insane. Every team knew what they were going to do and they couldn’t stop him. I just looked it up and I know it was a different time. But the Bills qbs were a combined 45%, 1200 yards, 4 tds, & 14 ints 😂. And they went 9-5! https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/1973.htm
  18. Some of you are so sensitive. The announcers are trying to hype up a Monday night opening week Bills game (mean ESPN only gave us the biggest game of opening week 😞) and you’re crying about them coming up with storylines. Grow a pair. The Bills might be the team that gets the most love in the media. this is the definition of first world problems. I doubt ESPN is paying him $12 million/ year if that was true. Did you really compare Tebow to Rodgers? Come on. And who hyped up Tebow on the Jets??? Dude was like a punt protector. The Jets never have hype.
  19. We should have hired Bienemy. That would have been a SB winning move. Just steal all the Chiefs plays. It’s so stupid. The worst thing for you as a football player is when you have to think too much and don’t just react and play. I really hope he is learning from this.
  20. Honestly, what I have grown to love about Allen is what made me so nervous about him in the first place. Dude is a gunslinger. He is going to have a few of those what the hell was that (or mash all the button plays) where you have no idea what he was thinking (see the Houston playoff game). But he makes up for it with all the amazing other plays he makes. So you just have to accept they will happen and trying to get him to fully change that might take away with what makes him great. I’m not as worried but the ints because as you said, they happen. I think people are forgetting about the fumbles with has become an issue. im fine with the occasional crazy int. But he seem to struggle with ball security which also single-handedly cause us the Vikings game.
  21. It’s all about Buffalo and my stupid pride in that place. The second the Bills move, I will not have a team to care about. I don’t get how Raiders fans do it. The players move too quickly so i don’t really get invested in them but it’s always about the Buffalo. I love football to much to just quit it (fantasy and gambling are fun) but it would never hit the same. I love Buffalo vs. everyone.
  22. Taylor and Shaq package deal would solve a lot of problems. I really like Taylor. His runner up a hill was Harvard. Dude wants to get paid and rbs have to force the issue. He would be an an absolute monster here next to Allen and Cook would be deadly as a change up. but there’s 0 percent chance of this happening though.
  23. I’m on a 160 day streak learning Spanish on DuoLingo. I will also be there.
  24. All fair but why does it have to be that way? How much is Teddy Bridgewater making? All we hear is how important qb is yet we don’t care about it past the main guy? The Giants won a SB with a backup. So did the Eagles. Keenum and Tribusky, while not close to being good, were guys with playoff starts on their resume. We settled this year and it shows. Pray for Josh. I’m sure I’m killed for this but if the price was right on Trey Lance, I’d be really interested. Dude hasn’t played but is showing some decent things in the preseason and plays a lot like Josh. I would rather take a chance on a guy with talent than known not talented journeymen.
  25. Given how we have been picking d linemen, hell no. but even if somehow we hit on a stud d linemen in the draft, every sack/ passing receiving/ record should come with a giant *. What Bruce did in an era where 3,000 yards passing was a major accomplishment was stupid. Add to that he was in a 3-4 which is terrible for DEs to get sacks in is even more impressive. he’s the best/ most dominant Bill of my lifetime. I feel like he doesn’t get the credit he deserves. He’s one of the best players in nfl history. I actually took this as the Bills’ sack record but this puts it even in more perspective.
