Dude, it was garbage team. Shell defense, try to stop big plays, chew up the clock. It was how Blake Bortels was a top 5 franchise qb a few years ago. Garbage time. great news is he has a chance to prove himself this week against one of the best defenses in the nfl. but since I posed it, who had the better rookie start - EJ or Allen? Obviously, it means nothing going forward. Just a question.

Allen’s stats (obviously not all on him) aren’t completely awful because of garbage time when the Chargers were just trying to catch their flight. that said, as awful as their development plan was with Allen, they can’t plug him now.

I love Fitz. I also feel sad because I’m sure this Fitz train will end badly. Dude has gotten the most out his ability and had a nice nfl career. Good for him.

You’re right. They couldn’t afford me but I’d volunteer my services because I love this team. the Bills can put on clinics on how not to develop a qb properly. I didn’t have high hopes for Allen but I thought they at least had a plan this time.

This is the problem. Allen can get told what to do until he is blue in the face. He has years of bad habits. By forcing him to play too early, on a crappy team, we are forcing him back to his bad habits. The best thinf woild would be to have a veteran qb and have Allen sit as long as possible to refine his mechanics. But this team completely screwed that up. The Bills are doing the exact opposite of what the Chiefs did with Mahomes. Not great Bob.

Allen has 6 games of passing for under 154 yards his last year in college and didn’t even get voted to any all-mvc teams. I’m not even trying to bash him but just point out that he was drafted that high on potential. And I would have wanted a guy like ESB to get drafted with him. Ray Rays are in every draft and free agency. but ESB is playing with Rodgers so if he doesn’t develop you’re right. But I would bet on him having the better career. I mean the Bills keep Foster, who has frying pans hands and didn’t do anything in college. They are so desperate for speed.

All great Bills but they just belong in the Hall of Very Good. Tasker has the best shot. Spikes and Spielman might have been if not for injuries. Spikes had the most dominating linebacker season I ever remember a Bill having. He was amazing pre injury.
