  1. Sometimes I think coaching is a bit overrated. Ultimately talent wins. I do think o line coaches seem to make a difference more than other positions.
  2. Probably but there are other factors. How do sports bars get counted? I watched the opener at a sports bar in Miami and it was packed. There’s also streaming services. I do agree about going to the game and that’s a problem. I would much rather tailgate and watch the game somewhere else than go to the stadium. but again, the nfl is still making billions of dollars and another sport isn’t close to it. People need to simmer down with the nfl is dying stuff. I wonder how Bills fans weren’t watching last year when we ended our drought.
  3. I know he was a total bust here but he seems like a cool dude. He was on some podcast and the host was egging him on to talk crap about Buffalo. He said at first he didn’t want to be there but grew to love because the fans were so awesome. Too bad, we had the broken down version of Lights Out.
  4. Whoops!!! Yeah, I meant it’s easier to find a good DC. Wade Phillips was on twitter begging for a job. Now, they have a great offensive coach and great DC. Honestly, if you look back at those rosters, it took amazing coaching to even get to 7 wins. I remember one year our qbs threw more ints than tds and we still won 7 games.
  5. Thank you! Besides tacos, Tuesday is easily the worst day of the week. Anyone who disagrees is obviously a lunatic who cannot be trusted
  6. Also, the way I would use no huddle is sporadically, throughout the course of the game. Switch up the tempo occasionally. I never understood why teams feel they have to go no huddle all game.
  7. Chip Kelly was a good coach in Philly. He won 10 games his first 2 years with very average talent at qb. What killed him is becoming the GM. It’s why I hate how much power McDermott has. He needs to be checked and have someone just for offensive personnel.
  8. Yeah, let’s complete the EJ development of Josh Allen! its funny, I didn’t want Allen but I thought at least the Bills aren’t going to be stupid and rush him on the field. He will get to learn from a vet and work on getting more consistent habits in practice. Yet, here we are again.
  9. Wow! That’s the most negative post I’ve ever seen from John!!! Hey Bills, you’re making the most optimistic Bills fan ever upset!!! Step it up! ?
  10. Let me rephrase that. If you have the greatest qb ever or a very good established qb, a defensive coach is fine. If you are trying to find a qb or develop one, you should go with an offensive coach. This league is all about offense now. I’m not sure what you are saying here Red. Hurts regressed under Daboll.
  11. Ratings are down in every sports. NASCAR is falling off a cliff. Nfl is like a perfect 10 who one day gets pimple. She is not as perfect as she normally is but she’s still really, really hot. Guys are making billions. Football is fine.
  12. Sorry dude. You were already killed as an example for the rest of the troops not to be weak. Good news is your body is providing us food and fire. Thank you for your service.
  13. It is much harder to find a good DC than a good offensive coach. Your QB is the most important member of your team. You want a guy who has a track record of developing him. If the Bills had Andy Reid or McVay, I feel a million times better about the Allen pick. But sorry, I don’t trust Brian Daboll to develop Allen into his full potential. The only time Daboll has been considered a good coach is when he worked with Tom Brady.
  14. Good post. Also, a general rule I have is never been on Jerry Sulkivan’s Side for anything. Miserable Milhouse. That would have been a great receiver for Allen to grow with. Of course, we only like slow wrs.
  15. The Rams were 4-12, Gurley was a disaster, and Goff has worse stats than EJ when McVay took over. They became the highest scoring team in the league with him. He’s a very, very good coach. Because if you were in a foxhole with me, I’d kill you first because my foxhole doesn’t allow weakness. ?
  16. EJ had 2 tds, 0 ints and left the field with the lead against the Pats in his first start. I’d take that from Allen, our highest drafted qb ever.
  17. McDermott basically got Beane hired. Do you see any scenario in which Beane is going to win a disagreement with SM? Got a hot girlfriend too. Looks ?? ?
  18. McDermott is fine. He’s a dime a dozen head coach. The problem is he’s running the team and it’s clearly showing why a defensive coach shouldn’t make offensive personnel moves.
  19. Well, that coach was hired 20 years ago. That’s like saying Josh Allen will be good in the nfl because he had a completion % like Farve had in college. But im sure having the greatest qb of all time didn’t help B.B. so if the Bills had one of the greatest qbs ever, I’d be fine with a defensive coach.
  20. It’s so funny how things change. People considered this terrible when Tyrod did it. Now it’s a success!
  21. McDermott is basically the GM. He’s Beane’s boss and it’s why I hated the hiring process.
  22. Of course you can. A lot more qbs have been ruined than made. I didn’t like the Allen pick because guys with his track record rarely succeed in the nfl. Imo, his best chance was to be eased into things and work at developing better habits in practice. now, he is getting rushed into action with a bunch of ? around him and watch those bad habits start creeping out. But at least he has a very successful OC to design plays for him.
