Who do we want, who do we need as our next OC/DC?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Better receivers and pass rushers. its also hilarious how bad Frazier got scapegoated with multiple top 3 defenses. -
Greg Rousseau has turned out to be a complete slug.
C.Biscuit97 replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall
Best way to describe him - solid. He is not a game changing pass rusher (dare I call him high motor). He would be much better if they had a legit pass rushing threat across from him (Bosa has been solid but he’s not one of those special guys). next to receiver, Beane sucks the most at scouting pass rushing. Groot is far from a bust but he’s will never be a guy teams need to really game plan for and we badly need one of those guys. -
Will Josh Allen want to stick around for a rebuild?
C.Biscuit97 replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Such a defeatist mindset. If I was Pegula, I’d remind Allen of a few things: - he wasn’t 1st or 2nd team All mountain west - he completed 52% of his passes as a rookie, one of lowest rates of any qb in the last 10 year - he had the same OC at the start of his career for 4 years, which never happens (Ej for instant has 1st time nfl OC Nate Hackett as his OC and qb coach his rookie year) - he played on teams with top 5 defenses - we traded a 1st for a top 10 wr - he has one of the biggest contracts in nfl history - the team spends to the cap - he is in every other commercial it’s weird how some of you act like we draft prime Brady as rookie. He was as raw as any top 10 qb in a long time. Allen owes Buffalo/ Bills as much as we owe him. This is sit in a corner of hotel room mentality. Why haha? Teams trade franchise qbs because they are completely washed or they are starting to be. And if it ever does happen, you rebuild your franchise like the Lions did with the Stafford trade. -
I think Flacco is the better qb so that could make the game easier for us!
-
Well said. We have made some questionable moves that has led to us not having as much top end talent. But it is a very mid AFC and very open for the taking. I just worry our flaws that hold us back (lack of receiving talent, defense, coaching) will show up again in the playoffs.

Fair but they also talk about Saban being a coach willing to adjust and change with the times too. Honest question, was being a Bama OC under Saban with those rosters really a hard job?
-
I’m not the biggest Daboll fan but that’s really unfair. Allen became a better player in the nfl than he was in the mountains west. He got the same OC for 4 years, which never happens. Allen wasn’t close to this player his first 2 years. Daboll took a raw talent and helped mold him into a MVP. He deserves credit for that. The rest of his resume is meh.
-
I read this as made out.
-
Fair but I think almost any OC could have shined with that talent and they did (Kiffin, Sark, the Maryland coach). Like you have to be brain dead not to light it up as a Bama OC. wasnt Tua also like the number 1 recruit? The best thing on Daboll’s resume is developing Allen. It’s pretty mid otherwise.
-
I don’t know man. He was terrible at the end of NE, he has been terrible at UNC (basically any time he hasn’t had Brady), he’s like 75, and his “girlfriend” who is with him for all the right reasons is a disaster.

I’m honestly treating Bills road games like an excuse for a vacation. I’ll tailgate and watch the game at a bar. I hate opposing stadiums. I’m a pretty big boy (not cocky, just facts) but I don’t want to have some loser opposing fan do something dumb.
-
Next on First Take: is Josh Allen holding the Bills back? What do you think Stephen A? Zero chance. We’re going to lose but it’s still the nfl.
-
I fully credit Daboll for helping make Allen the player he has become. But he is such an overrated coach. He has basically only been a a good offensive coach with Allen (too be fair, he has done a good job with Dart). Hurts became a much better player after he left him. So did Jones. He also seems to a lot to deal with . He was 20-40 so his firing is well warranted and he was given a longer leash than most coaches get with that record. I know the popular take it to hate Brady now. But fun fact, the Bills scored more points with Brady than any season with Daboll. And that was with prime Diggs (top 10 wr) and crazy Cole (might be the best wr on this roster), oh yeah, he helped Allen win a MVP. but if he wants to come back to tell Allen jokes and that helps, sure. Bring that chubby guy back. What year is where we think Belichick is still an option teams are going to consider? He has been on a downward spiral for the last 5 years and has a psycho “girlfriend “ that makes decisions for him. I will bet you a lot of money he never gets another coaching job again,

Where’s the juice at the position of Wide Receiver?
C.Biscuit97 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Biggest weakness on this team next to pass rusher (though Bosa has been really good). It’s fine against most teams but it shows up in the playoffs. This team is awesome but it is wild that a guy with Allen’s arm is becoming a dink and dunk passer. I bet we make another trade this year. -
James Cook AFC Offensive Player of the Month (September 2025)!
C.Biscuit97 replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
So much for 1 - anyone could do Cook’s role 2 - Allen has no help. Cook gets better every year and thankfully the front office was smarter than some fans. The whole idea of the MVP conversation is so dumb in the first place. Football is the ultimate team game. You aren’t going to be a MVP playing on an awful team with no talent. It’s why I hated the Allen MVP talked (I called him winning last offseason) because it boiled down to some fans just crapping on the rest of the team. We have a top 5 (at worst) oline and a top 10 (probably higher) rb. It doesn’t take away from Allen being awesome but they certainly play a major role in helping Allen. -
The Ray Davis-backup running back discussion
C.Biscuit97 replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The talks of letting Cook walk because anyone could do that were dumb then and even dumber now. Davis is a nice guy and could be a nice change of pace. But he is almost the same age as Cook, which a lot more tread of his tires from playing 5 years in college, and doesn’t have the burst. -
If you touch a player, the player should be able to fight you. glad the Bills handle this right.

Allen vs Mahomes, is this a controversial take?
C.Biscuit97 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
The idea that we have a qb with maybe the strongest arm ever and we act like a dink and dunk offense is kinda wild. Offense was very successful in the regular season but it catches up in the playoffs. You need explosive plays and we don’t get them enough in our passing game. Part of it is the lack of explosive WRs and part of it is the design of the offense. But playmakers on the d line and receiving core is a major development we need to see this year so we can finally take the next step. -
Allen vs Mahomes, is this a controversial take?
C.Biscuit97 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
They played all year without their best wr and a LG at LT. If we gave Cook the ball more, maybe we win. Personally, I hate hypotheticals because they are just empty, my hope is all the resources they have invested in the d line finally playoffs off. I also think the Chiefs have a much better on paper offense this year but they have to be feeling burnt out and are playing in a much tougher division. I genuinely believe this is the bills year. -
Allen vs Mahomes, is this a controversial take?
C.Biscuit97 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe the stat is McDermott has won more regular season and playoff games than Reid at the same point of their careers. obviously Reid is the better coach. But McDermott is at worst a top 10 coach. the bottomline is more qbs are ruined that developed. I think it’s prettt foolish to think if Allen or Mahomes went to the Jets, they are the same player. Both guys are insanely good qbs who went to great spots that helped them maximize some talent that needed to be molded. And as some one who likes watching great qbs play, I’m happy we get to see this rivalry. Now let’s win one when it matters. -
Allen vs Mahomes, is this a controversial take?
C.Biscuit97 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills have had 5 top defenses with Allen 5 times in his career. The Bills have a universally regarded top 5 o line. They have a top 5 rb. Allen had the same OC for the first 4 years of his career, which rarely happens. allen is the best bills qb ever at the absolute worst a top 3 qb qb right now. But this act where he has been surrounded by a bunch of crap is pretty misleading. Reid was a choker before Mahomes (who had 5,000 yards and 50 tds passing in a season in college and Feid traded up to get). Maybe, and this is crazy, Mahomes is just a great qb on his own. They traded a top 3 wr and won 2 more SBs. Were fans and Allen is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to this franchise. But we love putting down the rest of the team, other qbs to raise Allen up (the general “you”). Allen is good enough where this doesn’t need to be down. But almost any other Bills fan would say the qb who has won 3 SBs and is 4-0 (as stupid as qb won- loss record) against the other one in the playoffs is probably better. the Beautiful part is the Bills and Allen can change that discussion this year. -
Allen vs Mahomes, is this a controversial take?
C.Biscuit97 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean KB has jumped on the Bills bandwagon and Simms was the ultimate Allen guy from the draft. You also don’t get as many clicks by saying the guy who goes to the SB every year is the best guy. Bill Simmons, who always picks against the Bills, put Allen ahead of Mahomes this year. if the Bills and Allen were going for their 5th SB and lost 1 game all year, would we allow anyone to say Allen wasn’t the best qb even if his stats weren’t as good? It’s kinda insane. that said, if Allen and the Bills beat them this year, the Mahomes is washed conversation would start. -

C.Biscuit97 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
You’re saying critical thinking when you are talking about hypotheticals that have zero way to be proven. If Allen was the qb with 3 SB wins, 5 SB appearances, multiple MVPs, coming off a 16-1 SB season where he was surrounded by garbage, we would think a fanbase saying their qb who never went to a SB was better than him was crazy. (terrible sentence structure!) Allen is the greatest qb the Bills have ever had. We won’t trade him for anyone. But discounting a guy who is the running for greatest qb ever just makes look sad.
