I have a few giants fan friends who 6 week earlier were saying the Giants suck and how Eli needed to get benched. Amazing what a few weeks can change.

Bill Belichick Interview CBS Sunday Morning
C.Biscuit97 replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall
As someone who has an age gap with my lady (not BB style but still), you just watch a lot of tik tok and say cringe a lot. Then I introduce her to old movies like Anchorman. It’s working. I don’t think she can get paid enough for what the gross things she has to do for him. 🤮 -
But that was the flukiest of flukes. Possibly the greatest team ever. It was Cam Newton being super human. But that model is not sustainable. At some point you need the eff it, Aj Brown will get open receiving option.

Didn’t make the SB again!!! This last draft must have been heaven for you!

I don’t fully disagree. Once Allen got his money, it restricts what we can do salary cap wise. We can’t just grab a big money free agent as easy. It was a much easier job for Beane before Allen got paid. But this is where he earns his salary. the draft is the best way to find a future star cheaply. I have some doubts on Coleman but maybe it’s him. But Kincaid hasn’t been it. Elam was an all time bust. Our D linemen have been kinda meh. Samuel and Miller were a terrible signing. beane and company drafting/ developing Allen gives them a ton of leeway. However, the goal has changed. Good enough isn’t good enough anymore. You need to nail high draft picks and FA signings. and all the take about the defense blowing games ignored the offense having multiple chances to tie or win that game. Maybe Beane is feeling the pressure now. also, I never got the McAfee love. He’s just a punter hopes up on caffeine. But good for him. also, the Bengals have made a SB

Not one RB drafted or undrafted FA signed
C.Biscuit97 replied to ElMarko's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I was Cook’s agent, he’s holding out until a new deal gets reached or he gets traded. This is the most leverage he will ever have in his career. I have to believe he is done. He’s like one of the best dudes as a player and person in the entire league so there’s a reason he’s a FA. He’s a freak but those are some bad injuries. But I would totally be on board if he passed a physical. I think good is used loosely here. Da is is a great dude but he had a lot of college carries and is close to the same age as Cook. johnson is a 3rd down back and has never had more than 300 yards rushing in a season. the other guys haven’t proven a thing. -
I do as well. Always respect and just seeing things a little differently. 🤝 - Samuel is a 1st rounder who averages 450/ season. He kinda is what he is. I’m sure he will be better this year because it’s hard for him to be worse. - Mack had less than 400 yards receiving. We also had to make a trade because our passing attack was so limited with our options. I’d argue the fact that Mack Hollins was so involved says more about the other guys than him (he maximized what he is so good on him for getting a pay raise). - I was not very high on Coleman because the lack of separation and he is not a great route runner. But he had some good moments before the injury. But it’s tough because I really like some other guys in that draft and I don’t know Coleman will be a number 1 type guy. - Shakir is about as solid as they come and I love the guy. But he’s a slot guy who is better when there are better options around him. I don’t think DCs fear him as solid as he is. it’s April and not much to talk about so the Beane interview is good conversation. But Leslie Frazier got let go after multiple top 3 defenses. This has been a great stretch of Bills football and I’m so grateful for it. But this is the SB window and I just don’t know if we are fully maximizing Allen and the draft is the cheapest way to get a potential star wr. and if Beane thinks WGR is bad, maybe he should see what it is like in NYC, Boston, or Philly. But it’s not a big deal either way. Good conversation. I didn’t listen to the full interview but if WGR wanted to really press him, they could have asked about their d linemen evaluation or signing 2!!! Guys with PED suspensions. Beane can’t think he above criticism because he would get roasted anywhere for those moves.

A lot of other factors with Bond. And obviously I want a number 1 but I’d settle for a field stretcher with number 1 traits. I don’t believe there is anyone on this roster that fits that description. Also having one of those guys makes your entire offense better. also, the eagles gave up less that 3 yards/ game than our defense that needed an entire draft to upgrade. these are first world problems and we have a very good roster. Just think this is a bigger need than Beane seems to believe it is. Allen gets paid a ton but it’s a lot on him. Mahomes has struggled because of supporting cast. Brady did. This guys aren’t superhuman.
-
Roman was OC last year. Herbert has had a 5,000 and multiple 4,000 passing seasons. Could be overrated? Sure but there were plenty of opportunities to put up numbers and he was worse than Gabe Davis. again, I get Beane’s frustration but it’s weird that he so aggressive about it because it’s a valid criticism. Samuel was an awful signing. Palmer has been pretty mid. Coleman had questions about separating coming and was literally invisible at the end of the season while Worthy, Ladd, BTJ were making monster plays. Obviously these guys can improve but there is a lot of evidence that besides Coleman, these are kinda average at best bet guys (love Shakir however). that said, it’s probably the most exciting Buffalo radio moment in like 20 years so it’s a win win. The Eagles set a postseason record for points scored last year.

Offense had a few chances to win that game after the defense got stops. Our WRs couldn’t separate. There is not a receiver on our offense that defenses game plan for. I might get this more if Palmer was playing with a bad qb. The Chargers were really pass happy before Harbaugh and needed another option besides Allen. Palmer is kinda meh and never shown anything close to what Cooper has done. Coooer on reputation commands more respect from defenses.
-
Honest question, how is Palmer an upgrade over Cooper? Cooper had multiple 1,000 yard seasons and was coming off a 1,200 one with the corpses of Flacco, Watson, and DTR. Palmer averages 550 with one of the best qbs in the nfl. I get believing in your guys but it was a valid criticism. Our WRs aren’t that good and it’s frustrating to not see more of an emphasis on going a better ones. Beane seemed cranky.

Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
C.Biscuit97 replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
Once a receiver signs with the Titans, it’s over. That was always the knock on him. He would have a 200 yards game and then won’t get 200 yards total in the next 5 games. in many ways, he’s the anti Diggs. -

Fair. He’s a great guy but I do feel like we could his role/ production at a much cheaper rate from someone else. But that’s nitpicking. -
Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
The flip side is you can our offense put up better numbers against bad defenses as well. Off the top of my head, we had offensive drop offs against playoff teams. -

Eh, there’s a chance there is a future star that got drafted. I could see the Iowa State guys Houston took becoming stars. I think Emeka from OSU will be a very good number 2. Or Royals, a guy the bills liked, potentially developing into something with Mahomes. they are lottery tickets and Moore (who has talent) might be what he is at this point. But love to see him live up to his draft status here. -

It’s why I hated the Knox pick because I don’t think he had a td in college. I also believe the qb is a USFL or whatever they call it starter now. -

I wanted this a few years ago but he’s been pretty mid for a while. Obviously it would be a huge qb upgrade and it’s better than nothing. He does have talent. we have the ultimate fantasy waiver wire receiving core. -
Atlanta Falcons’ DC’s kid pranked Shedeur
C.Biscuit97 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
So if your kid was good enough to in a position to get himself drafted; went later than he was supposed to and seeing his dreams die, you won’t be pissed? Those kids are losers who tried to ruin someone else’s moment. Plus, they stole confidential information from a nfl employee. It’s a big deal. Our society has become way to comfortable hiding behind screens because those cowards won’t have the same energy face to face. -

1 - we completely overstate how bad the defense was. It’s was 11th in points and 17th in total yards. Of course, people wanted Frazier gone after multiple top 3 defense so the expectations are insane. 2 - I have really grown to appreciate McDermott as a leader. But you think a defensive minded coach won’t need essentially an entire draft to improve a defense. 3 - Gabe Davis, a 4th round rookie from UCF, had 600 yards and 7 tds. He followed that up with 5 tds in his second year in the playoffs. You will never know if you don’t try to pick a guy these are first world problems. I just worry about defense studying what the Ravens and Chiefs did against our offense. And I hope I’m wrong but Josh Palmer, who wasn’t exactly a big difference maker with a good qb, isn’t enough of a move. -
Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the frustration is that with the Bills cap situation, the draft is the best and cheapest way to hit on a future stud receiver. Our offense was really good last year but I do worry against top defenses, there isn’t enough speed to scare teams. As a result, they can bring more guys into the box which will result in more pressure on Allen and less run for the run game. We essentially have a fantasy waiver wire receiving core. I would have loved to see the cornerback draft approach to receivers. I love the guy from Stanford and he went in the 5th round. I think Baltimore has pretty weak WRs as well and they are doing Lamar a disservice as well. Part of that is how you have to game plan against Lamar. You need to stay disciplined in your rush lanes and be patient. -
I was also friends with Dolac’s friend Andrew. It’s crushing but I’m happy Shaun shouted him out. I wish him the best in LA.

Just saw it. Loved it. And there is going to be some memes at the expense of Josh because of some of Hailee’s scenes. But she does a great job

Shedur Sanders Make To Round 5? (Poll) - UPDATED x 3
C.Biscuit97 replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree 100% but maybe if his dad (and by all accounts Deion seems like a good dad) kept his attitude in check, maybe he interviews better and is a better leader. but yeah, nfl money isn’t making or breaking his life and there are a lot of guys who haven’t gotten close to the head start in life that he did.
