  1. Even if Nate gets a chance w/ another club, ,,and goes 11-12, 120 yds and 2 TDs in every pre-season game he plays in,.. his credibility is shot. He's the punchline to every joke about bad quarterback play.. for example , "Well, (any QB) was bad, but he didn't pull a Peterman!"
  2. I sat inside M&T Bank stadium with a relative from Baltimore who is a big Ravens fan. He was literally dumbfounded by the Bills. He kept asking me, did these guys even have a training camp? Did the coaches prepare them for anything at all? From the QB, receivers, O-line, DB's, Punter...literally every unit he said looked like they've never practiced. And I couldn't argue with him. McD needs to make a huge coaching "comeback" because I'm really starting to lose faith in this guy and the staff he's assembled,,,and the decisions he has made along with Beane.
  3. Didn't really care for the KB trade when we got him. Now i really dislike this guy. Just seems like a flat-out jerk who doesn't take accountability for anything.
  4. Ah, the Bulls/Bills doubleheader weekend. I love coming in for those. Maybe one of these years both teams will be good at the same time!
  5. Must feel great to have WRs that make contested catches... and some for TDs.
  6. Maybe. Can’t remember. But in competitive games, all too often on 3rd and 12+ they throw a simple dump off or run a draw or something. Just chuck it down the field and try to get a call.
  7. The Bills never ever purposely try to get a PI call downfield. So frustrating. Most teams and especially the Pats play that game. It’s a great strategy
  8. i think a lot of it is because of the Peterman factor. But McD better get his defense in line because it's not supposed to be a complete embarrassment of a season. Pegula didn't sign up for that I can assure you. His other club has already been the joke in NHL circles for several years.
  9. You don't want to see No-huddle much. That will just mean the Bills go 3-and-out in lightning quick speed and Phil Rivers gets many many possessions to put 45+ points on our scoreboard.
  10. I just find it hard to believe Terry and Kim signed off on a total "rip it down to the ground" rebuild plan. By all counts they agreed to do that with the Sabres and it blew up. The rebuild was so much harder than anticipated and the stain on the franchise and upset fanbase has been brutal. They just can't get back to respectability let alone playoffs. Maybe this is the year, who knows. As for the Bills, they had a playoff team...there's no way that Terry said, OK we finally have a team to be proud of, let's allow ourselves to have the least amount of talent in the league, trade the one proven QB, and be the laughingstock of the NFL. No way would he agree to that. Obviously they convinced him Peterman would be a good bridge and that has failed miserably. and McBeane's defense after 1 game looks like a miserable failure.
  11. All sports are suffering because kids don't really watch, and they are starting to age into that 17-25 yr old bracket. Heck, my 14 yr old son has grown up with a sports crazy dad. He likes the games but like most of his friends would rather be on the PS4 or watching his online stuff and Youtube videos. He plays fantasy football with me, but on gameday mostly sits on his phone and keeps track of his fantasy players...and glances at the game once in a while. Then by the 3rd Qtr is checked out on the game. Kids just don't sit and watch sports like we used to.
  12. Here's my takeaways: - Playing QB in the NFL is really hard. You have to be able to process what the defense is going to do even BEFORE the snap, and then have about 1.5 seconds to process what you need to after the snap.. This is why players like Brady, Brees, Peyton, etc. are few and far between. - Peterman sucks. He does good in non-pressure practice and pre-season situations. But a real game is way over his head. - The receivers I'm sure got frustrated because they knew their QB couldn't see the field. most continued to hustle the entire game regardless. - Benjamin is a lazy, pouty, SOB. Once he realized Peterman was over his head in this game, he gave up.. and gave no effort.
  13. I don't disagree at all. I also think McD totally botched it...not only by starting him vs LA but leaving him in for 5 Int's. I recall sitting there after the 3rd one yelling at the screen to pull the kid and put TT in. I mean who is stubborn enough to leave a QB in till their 5th Int? That's like a hockey coach pulling the goalie only after he lets in a 10th goal. McD made the kid the butt of national jokes,,, and Peterman himself etched his name in NFL-joke history with his performance in Baltimore. His career is effectively over.
  14. 13/27 for 121 yards, 1 TD, 1 Int Bills fans will be frustrated b/c the staff won't call many deep passes if at all. It will be a very conservative game plan and we will all be miffed because we want to see Allen unleash some bombs. The Bills will have the ball at their own 45 yd line with 6 seconds to go in the first half and McD will call for a draw hand-off....to protect the kid and not risk an INT on his resume.
  15. Well, we have an example of a ruined QB on our own team. His name is Peterman. Started too soon, had a couple bad days, now gun shy and can't overcome adversity and the speed of a real game.
  16. It's the early season schtick where the home teams often wear white because the sunny, hot weather reflects off white uniforms,,,,as opposed to being absorbed by dark colors. Of course it's been so rainy and cool in the east at the start of the season it hasn't mattered.
  17. Peterman seems to be like a great rehearsal actor who forgets his lines once the show starts. Maybe Allen is the opposite... Let's hope when the lights come on for real, this kid is a gamer and lifts the guys around him. We'll see.
  18. They haven't sold out for several years. Often the stadium has a huge percentage of opponents fans, especially when Eagles, Giants, Cowboys, Packers, Steelers and a few others are in town. It's only recently that the Skins are lifting the cover on the big myth that every game is a sellout. They've had season ticket availability and individual games for several years.
  19. I'd like to see Allen NOT roll to his left so much,, he can't square his body to pass on the run from that angle. I guess it might be a product of the right side of the O-line being crap. He may have no choice but to roll left too often.
  20. I'll be happy if Allen can start AND complete the game....while looking competent. I think in every game I've seen him so far, he's been bounced on his head or taken a hard, unnecessary shot. He needs to protect himself out there.
  21. Maybe the Bills players can watch some tape of the jets game from Monday night. See how every Jets unit played hard and did everything they could to make sure their rookie QB had a chance to succeed. How about the Bills D, Special teams and O-line help the kid out with maximum effort and disciplined play?
  22. Good post, agree on all. As for Peterman, he is a good dude and I was hoping he'd turn into our modern day Frank Reich.. A solid, reliable backup. Unfortunately Nate's practice habits and practice games have not carried over to the real thing. He got off to a good start in the Indy snow game last year, but couldn't even finish it out. The two road starts were historically poor. His play has put McDermott's decision making into serious question. So McD has no choice but to start Allen and let's hope for the best.
  23. Can’t wait for this game. Much more enjoyable than the pro team this year.
  24. The 0-1 Chargers travel across the country to play Bills, LA opened up as a 6pt favorite it’s now up to 8.5. That’s astounding. you know things are bad. Never seen the Bills that big of a home dog. Maybe vs New England a few times. I’d still take the Bills +8.5 in this situation. The D has to play like NFL players this week and the O can’t be as bad with Allen at the helm.
  25. As they mentioned on WGR this morning, this might be the first NFL club that both QBs on their roster have never before started and completed an NFL game. Way to go McBeane. Let's go Buffalo!
