  1. I doubt Von will be back ,but a fully healthy secondary would be a big boost.
  2. That is amazing. What a stadium. Now they just need a real team to play in it.
  3. Nobody or the top 3 if we stay with 7 playoff teams. I think 3 is good, because it always seems the #4 division winner is weak and deserves to play. But the bean counters at the NFL don't want to lose the money from additional games. I think the schedules are really unbalanced too. KC has had a much easier path to get to #1 and the playoffs are even easier with week off then a home game against banged up LA or JAX. They will walk into a neutral site championship
  4. Can't agree on these too. We've had no interior pressure and made Mac Jones look like Burrow. Speaking of whom, (Burrow) was carving us up with all day to throw. Pass rush and secondary are a major concern going into the playoffs against 3 very good passing teams ( Miami, Cincy, KC) Marlowe was exposed, they are playing soft and not communicating. Tre made a nice play, and a few tipped balls went our way. Better QB's will not give us that luxury, especially Mahomes. I'm not sure how we compensate for the loss of Hyde, Hamlin and Von but it starts with getting a real push in the middle. Oliver, Phillips, Settle, Basham and Shaq need to step it up or this weak secondary will get torched. All other points are good signs, especially the deep ball to Brown. Gabe and McKenzie and the OLine need to play their best if we have any hope of advancing to the Super Bowl.
  5. I'm concerned about the lack of pash rush and push since Von went out. When we get pressure, it makes the DB's jobs a lot easier and our D is dominant. Somehow we have to figure it out on D minus Von, Hyde and Hamlin. The secondary needs to learn to communicate better. I'm hoping the additional reps this week with Marlowe pay dividends. It sucks to know how good this D could have been healthy. The offense has no excuses. Gabe (catch the damn ball when it hits you in the hands) Josh stop with the RZ turnovers. Devin hold on to the ball. It doesn't get easier from this point and we need to stop all self-inflicted damage and we have a shot.
  6. Man would I love it if somehow Hyde got back on track and was able to play in the divisional round. Sin ce miracles are happening in Buffalo, I may as well throw it out there. And while we are at it, Von makes a comeback for the championship game.
  7. I think they keep him. but this was hardly a breakout season. 3-4 yr contract at 8m.
  8. Now I really have a fear of the Chargers, Bengals and Chiefs come playoff time if this is our defense. We need a miracle Hyde return and Von's miraculous recovery on our list too.
  9. That happens to many teams losing a top 10 QB and relying on their #2 and #3 QB's. The winning isn't sustainable. We are lucky Josh is a warrior. 4 games of Keenum and we'd probably have gone 2-2 instead of 4-0
  10. That was beautiful. It sums up my journey as well. I spent years 1-18 in Buffalo and have carried Buffalo in my heart ever since. I'll never let go.
  11. We will be lucky to skip by this week with a banged up secondary, since MacJones and the Pats are not that dynamic of a passing team. but they have a tough D so we will need to step it up on offense. Depending on the seeding we may even float past the Ravens. The Chargers, Chiefs and Bengals are very worrisome without a miracle (like the return of Hyde) This is where we really needed Von. We had no pressure on Burrow and he was picking us apart. Someone needs to step up, but it's hard to even focus with the emotional and mental state of the team at this moment. As one of the other threads pointed out, overcoming this much adversity is already a win for the city and our team.
  12. In over 50 years of Bills fandom, this is the most disturbing incident on the field in Bills history. I'm praying this kid is ok. I was in the stadium when Everett went down and it was scary, but we knew he'd live and face a long recovery. This is horrifying and I can't imagine the pain his family and the players are going through. I don't think I've ever witnessed a Bills season with this much turmoil and this many obstacles. If somehow this team perseveres and wins a Super Bowl, it will be truly astounding, given all that they have been through. But 50+ years of waiting for this moment would mean nothing if Damar doesn't pull through.
  13. In the preseason, he was referred to as "Baby Cook" so he has come a long way to be a Jimbo/Himbo. I like what he's doing for the offense. If Josh can heal up and get that long ball mojo back for the playoff run, we can be dangerous on offense and make a run. Next Monday is the biggest regular season game we've played since Josh arrived. We've never been in the drivers seat this late in the season.
  14. Saffold yes, Quess no. I was wrong on Saffold. He's a shell of the player he was in LA
  15. Good. the less I see of Guessenberry (guess who's gonna run past him) and Van Rotten, the better I feel. With Mitch out, we were a mess.
  16. I'm with you on this. Dorsey got figured out by week 6-7 and has not been able to adjust and use the talents of his players. It's Josh ball or no ball. I'm happy to see Knox get more targets but Davis needs to get his mojo back. I'm hoping another week of Cole will help with some quick shots over the middle. We will need them if Morse is out. Josh hasn't had time to work, so I'm not sure if it's all on the play calling or just a lack of being able to execute with a crappy OL. One thing I do expect is for Dorsey to come up with a scheme or concepts that get the ball out quicker. The Diggs screen was a joke with Shakir whiffing on a block. Put the right people in the right place to do the right thing. Dorsey hasn't done that lately and his job should not be secure.
  17. I feel bad for Morse. Outside of Josh, Mitch is the unsung hero and MVP of this offense. When he goes down, all hell breaks loose on the O-line and Josh is running for his life. The middle of the field goes dead for us. Every time I see the Quessenberry turnstile or Van Rotten on the field, my nerves take a hit and all the Billsy plays of the last 50 years come rushing into my head. We gutted this one out and Josh played great, but we need Mitch for the playoffs or all bets are off against a good front 4. Get well soon Mitch!
  18. I hate all of it. The Pro Bowl is a joke on the game of football. It's all marketing and hype and posturing for big contracts, which is what ruined the game to begin with. While I respect and admire the physical gifting of these athletes, the way the pro bowl game is played makes it unwatchable. It's only appropriate they'd go to a flag game. I haven't watched in 15+ years and won't start now.
  19. I flew from Los Angeles to Buffalo 5 times for games. Much longer than the walk down Abbott Rd when I was a kid.
  20. He just wasn't in sync with Brady. Brady takes a lot of time to trust guys and they just did not put in the time. Plus the guys ahead of him on the depth chart, Evans, Godwin, Gage, Jones and Miller all had more time with Brady and were mostly back from injuries by the time Cole got in. He was a temp fix in case the other guys couldn't come back. Plus, quickness was never Cole's game. He finds the seams and works to get open and he's got solid hands. He will make plays for us when it counts. I'd say we will see 90-95% of the 2020/2021 Beas.
  21. 3 Leagues. 1 Clinched playoff spot with #2 seed, the other 2 can go from #2-#5 depending on outcomes. Both of those leagues win and I'm in so I could be 3 for 3. I drafted 8, 7 and 10th in those leagues so I didn't get the studs. Josh has carried me well until the last few weeks. The waiver wire was my salvation this year.
