Sorry for your loss. I did a search on the site's search engine of "MOVALLEYRANDY." There were a number of references to that username, but no actual posts came up by him. I wonder why.

Buffalo is clearly slower than KC, but Buffalo is faster than New England. At this point Buffalo's rivalry is with KC, and they need to get faster to gain the edge on KC.

KC running the rest of the table easily tells me that Buffalo-KC was the real Super Bowl, and Buffalo came within a hair of winning it.

Gunner's 2022 Mock Draft (v3 and FINAL - p.17!!)
BigAl2526 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jameson Williams might be a BPA pick at that point. Free agency will be a strong factor in determining whether Buffalo should address a clearer need. With Diggs in the fold and the emergence of Gabe Davis, WR is probably not a real acute need even assuming Sanders is gone. I would be surprised if both Beasley and McKenzie are gone along with Sanders, and I wouldn't be that inclined to want to use either Davis or J. Williams in the slot that much. I do want to see Buffalo upgrade in free agency or the draft at CB, DT and interior offensive line. -
Do you want KC to cruise to the Super Bowl title?
BigAl2526 replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Chiefs are the favorite, among the four teams left. Should they win easily as the OP posits, it would suggest that maybe the "real Super Bowl" was the Chiefs-Bills game. For that reason, I would lean in favor of that outcome, but I'm not heavily invested emotionally in that. -
Ken Dorsey - would he choose OC here or leave to be Daboll's OC?
BigAl2526 replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are some rumors that Daboll is going to get the Miami head coach job. . If that does happen, and Dorsey has strong ties to the area because of his college career, I could see that happening. On the other side of the ledger, Dorsey won't find any better situation as an offensive coordinator than he would have in Buffalo. He would probably be well compensated. There won't be any opportunity in the league to go to a situation that is set up better for success than Buffalo. It doesn't hurt that he seems to have a great relationship with Josh Allen. -
Allen declines invitation to play in Pro Bowl
BigAl2526 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good decision. Honestly, we'll never know if he might have gone had he been elected. It's possible the decision to skip it was motivated more by concern over his own body. The snub certainly doesn't give him any reasons to want to play. -
I'd like to see the Bills upgrade a couple areas of the team in the off season. If they can do that and stay relatively healthy, The Bills will have a chance to win in every game they play.

SB Nation article - Josh a mega star
BigAl2526 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh Allen has always made it pretty clear he wants to be the best. -
It will be interesting to see how Beane manages the cap this offseason. How he does it will determine what the Bills can do in terms of signing free agents. If the money is there, Beane is willing to spend it, but he tends to sign older guys to short term deals (Emmanuel Sanders). If a guy is in his thirties and wants a four year deal, he might not get it from Beane.

Chief Fans Make Donations to Childrens Hospital
BigAl2526 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
In some ways it can be both. Mahomes hasn't been the most consistent QB this past season, but when he's on, with all the weapons KC possesses, he certainly does act as an obstacle that must be overcome. The rivalry thing is also real. It could be fun to watch for a number of years, if Buffalo can get past the KC/Mahomes obstacle in some of those years. Mahomes/KC is not the only potential obstacle. Justin Herbert still might develop into an elite QB of the caliber of Mahomes and Allen. I don't know that he has quite the mobility/escapability of Mahomes/Allen but he has a real nice skill set. So too does Joe Burrows, though Burrows merely has a good arm versus a rocket launcher like Mahomes/Allen. -
With only small changes, the overtime process has been in place for a while now. Is it perfect? Certainly not. The league has decided they don't want to have games last as long as a full extra "quarter" and they don't like games to end in a tie. Anything else is going to carry some risk of being less than perfectly fair. In a game like the Bills - Chiefs, as well as the offenses were playing, Winning the coin flip was almost the same as winning the game. There are other ways to do an overtime, but there are drawbacks to any of them. Buffalo's best chance to win was preventing Mahomes for moving the ball far enough to kick a FG with 13 seconds left. I think there were strategies Buffalo could have used to give them better odds.
-
A squib kick or just a kickoff that didn't go into the end zone makes some sense with a lead and 13 seconds left Buffalo has generally had excellent kickoff coverage. I don't really get too much into this kind of speculation though. If it happens, I'm sure sports media will look into all the gory details.

Isaiah McKenzie aka, Lil Dirty, sounds like he’s moving on
BigAl2526 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's unlikely the Bills keep both Beasley and McKenzie. Between the two, age and versatility tips my preference to McKenzie. Stevenson is also a consideration. His reps were somewhat limited this season and he made an error here and there, but he was a rookie. I think he has plenty of untapped upside. -
Referee tendencies could lead to physical Bills vs. Chiefs game
BigAl2526 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Buffalo played a pretty physical game when they played KC during the season. I think that was an adjustment to the KC strategy from last year's playoffs. I expect they'll continue. Obviously, it worked in October. -
Good analysis of the issues with Patriots roster
BigAl2526 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
That they did. Garapolo is probably a comparable QB to Mac Jones. He never going to be a franchise QB, but he's competent in most situations. Had they kept Garapolo, they would not have had to spend a first round pick on Mac Jones. He would have been a serviceable starter while they looked for a franchise QB. -
Good analysis of the issues with Patriots roster
BigAl2526 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree it was a mistake for the Patriots to sign Newton, but I don't know that they ever figured that he was going to be anything more than a stopgap. Having Newton was not the reason they lacked a credible QB. There just weren't any credible guys available at a price the Patriots felt they could afford. -
I agree. KC is different in many ways from the team that Buffalo beat handily. I also think Buffalo is a better team than it was earlier in the season. At that point, they played some great games, but struggled running the ball. I think they were a more fragile team then. They have toughened up, found some consistency on the offensive line, figured out how to have a running game and adapted to the loss of Tre White. Chris Jones will be a handful, but Buffalo is far better equipped to cope with him now than they were 6 weeks ago. Pat Mahomes is always a threat to have an explosive game. Buffalo and Sean McDermott are getting to know him fairly well though. I'm not sure that he has as many dangerous weapons as he had previous to this season. Of course, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are more than a handful.

Who would you rather face next week?
BigAl2526 replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall
The biggest factor in that choice is location. If it's Cinci, it's a home game. Otherwise, I don't know that one opponent is that advantageous over the other. If Tennessee still had Derrick Henry, I'd be really wary of Tennessee, but Joe Mixon is at least as tough a running back to defend as D'Onta Foreman. I think Tennessee has a somewhat better defense, but it's not a huge factor. On the other hand, I think Joe Burrow is potentially a more dangerous QB than Ryan Tannehill and the Cincinnati offense is more explosive. Either way, Buffalo is a solid team. If they can handle KC's explosiveness, the defense can handle Cincinnati's, and they look like they are finally developing some toughness against the run. Offensively, I think Buffalo has exorcised their demons from earlier in the year. If the Patriots game is any indication of who and what the Bills are now, it's the other team that should be more worried, no matter who the opponent is. -
Tua and Hurts will never get to the promised land
BigAl2526 replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lamar has a one of a kind skill set, and Baltimore has built their offensive scheme around it. It would take a complete philosophical change for Baltimore to go in a different direction and cut bait with Lamar. -
Divisional Round: Buffalo at KC Sunday at 6:30
BigAl2526 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Weather forecast for KC next Sunday: Daytime high in low 40s under partly cloudy skies. Winds 10 to 15 mph. I don't know that there's been a prediction of game time temps, but I would guess it will start in the mid to upper 30s and end up close to freezing. Balmy compared to what the Bills just dealt with. -
Obada, despite his size is said to be a liability in run defense.
-
I think there are still plays where Singletary's lack of speed and size hurt him, but Daboll is doing a pretty good job of using him in ways to minimize his liabilities. That said, I still wouldn't mind an upgrade eventually.
-
McDermott was always hesitant to make Bates a starter because of his versatility. I'm glad he finally gave in to the philosophy of playing the 5 best guys. The off season is going to be interesting for the offensive line. Buffalo could decide to keep the same 5 starters. If they don't, Morse would seem to be the guy who could lose his spot to a younger cheaper replacement (a draft pick?). Otherwise, they still will need to address depth. Doyle may be ready to play a legit swing tackle role. Bottger is still going to be gimpy from his injury and he seems not to have a very high ceiling anyway. Feliciano is also limited in his ability, and I don't know that Buffalo is happy with Cody Ford at this point. I could see the Bills bringing in at least a couple new guys for the interior of the line, guys who could legitimately compete.
