Davante Adams disgruntled with Packers

Agree with your post, but Stefon Diggs caused trouble too for Minnesota; and so did Antonio Brown with Pittsburgh, whom the Bills tried to acquire. Just saying... 🙂 -
Most Inspirational Bill In Your Opinion
chongli replied to OutOfBubbleGum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So this is really a political post in disguise. TDB had heard enough of Cole Beasley, whether pro or con (and also Ertz, for that matter). Also, in before the lock. -
Not Sunday Ticket, but I tried that with my cable internet company, Spectrum (formerly Charter). I was a customer for 4-5 years. They kept increasing the price each year, but still gave me an offer. Finally, a few years ago, I called again and they offered a small discount. I called their bluff and canceled my account. I was shocked when they did cancel with no conter-offer. I didn't wait for the cancelation date in a few weeks, and got nervous. So I called them back that same day and got the new rep to give me the same offer (I forgot to mention the free speed upgrade they had offered though, lol). He couldn't reinstate the old account, but gave me a new one. I ended up paying for almost a month more because of new billing dates. Maybe I should have waited, but I freaked out since there is no really good alternative other than slower AT&T U-Verse. The next year I just took their best offer and renewed. Not worth the hassle of bluffing a cancellation over $10 a month or whatever, spending more time on the phone with a new rep, ending up paying a month extra, and the added stress, at least not when there is no good alternative.

Ok, lol! https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/agents-take-sizing-up-stephon-gilmore-xavien-howard-situations-with-solutions-for-the-disgruntled-corners/ Eric's quotes from the article: "That's a no-brainer," Dickerson told TMZ Sports. "I mean, he knows the offense, he knows this offense. He doesn't have to come in and try and learn [the offense]. He knows [Sean] McVay, he knows the guys on the team -- that would be an easy fit." "At the end of the day, football, this is business," Dickerson said. "That's what it comes down to. You got to make business decisions. You got to make decisions that are good for the football team, and the player has to make decisions that's best for him." ""I think Sean McVay is really confident about his football team this year," he said. "He said it's one of the best teams he's ever had. I mean, losing Cam is a big loss, but -- I hate to say it -- like anything you've got to move on."

ESPN Future Power Ranking Released Today 7/19
chongli replied to vtnatefootball11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I bet they have NE, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Seattle, New Orleans, and two of these last three: Green Bay, San Francisco, or Tampa Bay ranked ahead of us in coaching. Not that I agree, but it is what I suspect. -
All Bills Preseason games will be carried live on NFLN
chongli replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good points. Plus there is no basketball, hockey, and college and high football to compete with it, not that they would win out anyway. -

New England, Chicago, and the Los Angeles Chargers will also have all of their games shown live on NFL Network. -

Brady plays all of 2020 with Unreported MCL Injury
chongli replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Possibly, but there is a big precedent for giving out fines: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/why-tom-bradys-big-injury-from-2020-could-lead-to-a-major-nfl-punishment-for-the-buccaneers/ "Why Tom Brady's big injury from 2020 could lead to a major NFL punishment for the Buccaneers" Excerpt: "The NFL has proven it will punish teams that hide injuries, especially in high profile situations. After hiding a Brett Favre injury during the 2008 season, the Jets were hit with a $125,000 fine. In a more recent situation, the Steelers were fined $100,000 in 2019 -- $75,000 for the team and $25,000 for Mike Tomlin -- for not accurately listing Ben Roethlisberger on their Week 2 injury report." -
Not trying to hijack this thread, but Poyer was named to CBS Sports NFL All 30-and-Over Defense today, along with former Bills player Stephon Gillmore: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-all-30-and-over-defensive-team-aaron-donald-paces-unit-saints-eagles-have-multiple-first-team-picks/ "S: Jordan Poyer -- Buffalo Bills (30) A safety that can be disguised as a hybrid linebacker, Poyer was the only safety to record 120-plus tackled and two sacks last season. Poyer finished with 124 tackles (91 solo), two sacks, two interceptions, and five passes defended. Opposing quarterbacks had a 76.2 passer rating targeting Poyer, who mostly lined up in the box. Poyer is one of just three safeties to have 100-plus tackles in each of the last three seasons (Jessie Bates, Budda Baker). He's a valuable part of Buffalo's defense. "

Barkevious Mingo released due to child sex allegations
chongli replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's an update with a short excerpt: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31805729/barkevious-mingo-lawyer-scolds-atlanta-falcons-releasing-linebacker-following-arrest "The lawyer for linebacker Barkevious Mingo has chastised the Atlanta Falcons for releasing the veteran after he was charged with indecency with a child-sexual contact. "We are extremely disappointed in the Atlanta Falcons' rush to judgment in terminating Barkevious Mingo's contract before gathering all of the relevant facts and prior to my client having his day in court," Mingo's lead counsel, Chris Lewis, said in a statement given to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "The accusation against Mr. Mingo is a lie. Barkevious knows it -- so does his accuser."" -
McDermott at the American Century Championship
chongli replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Heck, I'm still scarred from the mid-80's. During my college visit out-of-state, when they asked where were we from, my dad apologized for them being so bad! I was thinking, "be quiet! you're going to hurt my chances of getting in," lol! -
I agree 5-7 would be way too high, but the original poster said he was an "early top 5-7 draft pick", which is true: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2021-nfl-draft-why-selecting-miamis-gregory-rousseau-in-first-round-is-a-big-mistake/ "Per Benjamin Robinson of GrindingTheMocks.com, Rousseau started early mock drafts inside the top 5, and while he's gradually dipped, he's currently a staple inside the top 20. " I'm just the messenger.

Buffalo's Four Major Sports - Mount Rushmore
chongli replied to bighorn_zilla's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are correct. Thanks for the quick education. I guess it's called recency bias on my part (if you consider Dantley "recent", lol). McAdoo was on the downside of his career when I started watching the NBA. -
Buffalo's Four Major Sports - Mount Rushmore
chongli replied to bighorn_zilla's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd have to say McAdoo is a good choice. Dantley was here only for his rookie year in 1976-77; otherwise he would clearly win over McAdoo.
