  1. I searched, but this didn't come up: I was listening to The Herd with Colin Cowherd on the radio today. There was a guest host--I think Dan something? Sorry, I didn't get his name. This Dan made a few points: 1. The Chiefs being favored by only 3 points at home is bulletin board material for them, and Vegas thinks essentially both teams are equal. KC will be angry about this. 2. Josh is good but not great. He will not replicate the success he had last year. He had one great game, one good game, and two iffy ones so far. 3. But Josh doesn't need to be great, since the defense is rated number one and will carry this team. 4. It is possible the Bills will beat KC, but he said it is also possible he could grow wings and learn to fly. He said it won't happen. Ugh...but don't shoot the messenger!!
  2. I only see two teams with higher points scored than Buffalo: Tampa Bay and Arizona. Also, I wonder which team is (tied) for the NFL lead in point differential at +50 with Denver??
  3. Still very early, but I hope the (unnecessary) loss to Pittsburgh does not come back to bite us.
  4. Ahh, got it. I am sorry for your situation. My co-worker was color blind too. Thank you for explaining.
  5. The owner of that site made a change last year to make certain colors on the maps easier to read for those who are color blind (by adding stripes to those colors). Another example is when the Bills and Jets did color rush uniforms a few seasons ago--all red vs. all green--the announcer apologized for those who still had black and white TV's.
  6. Lone Wolf!
  7. Tis true. The NFL was losing more money in TV revenue than it was by getting more ticket sales. Plus, it was a good public-relations move for them. We can thank Tua for that, lol.

  9. I remember when he was on NBC in the 90's, IIRC, and he got flamed universally for announcing the clock should have been stopped when the QB spiked the ball in the shotgun. The actual said you have to be under center for the clock to stop. But in his defense, I did not know that either at the time.
  10. Yep! TD pass with Miami: Miami Special Teams Pulls Off the Wacky Trick Play TD! - YouTube
  11. Teams used to do that in the 90's or so, but switched the punter as holder since gives the backup QB more time to practice on offense. Otherwise, he would be working with special teams a lot. Besides, Bills punters have thrown special teams TD's in the past: And also for a different Moorman to Denney TD pass [see 0:35]: (1) Top 3 Bills Trick Plays | #TrickPlayThursdays | NFL - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfslWtWZo6o
  12. I hope this applies to the Bills vs. Kansas City too!
  13. Not Bills related, but I love your user name and pic! It just made me go back and watch that scene from Episode IV on my computer, haha!
  14. did not see this elsewhere: Article: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-1-power-rankings-buccaneers-start-season-at-no-1-but-bills-will-stand-in-way-of-super-bowl-repeat/ "NFL Week 1 Power Rankings: Buccaneers start season at No. 1, but Bills will stand in way of Super Bowl repeat" short excerpt: "That doesn't mean they are a lock to win it again. Repeating is tough, even for a seasoned, talented team like Tampa Bay. But I do think the Bucs will get back to the Super Bowl, only to fall short. The Buffalo Bills will win it all. This is the year Bills quarterback Josh Allen cements himself as one of the best in the NFL by leading the Bills to their first Super Bowl victory. Allen still has doubters, despite his MVP-like season in 2020. There is a big part of me that thinks Allen is only scratching the surface of what he can be as a passer, which is why I am bullish on the Bills. Coach Sean McDermott and coordinator Leslie Frazier will have the defense improved over last season -- they have to be better rushing the passer -- and that will prove to be the impetus to get this team to the Super Bowl and win it. The Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers will again be in the mix, but this time it's the Bills who beat the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game to move on and win it all, beating Brady, who brought a lot of misery to Buffalo in his time with the Patriots. While the Bills Mafia will be happy with these first rankings, I know most of you will find something to complain about. Oh, well. Maybe you can use it as motivation." Rankings: 1. Tampa Bay 2. Buffalo 3. Kansas City 4. Green Bay 5. Cleveland 6. San Francisco 7. Baltimore 8. LA Rams 9. Arizona 10. Tennessee 11. New England 12. Indianapolis 13. Washington 14. Dallas 15. Miami 16. Minnesota 17. Denver 18. Seattle 19. New Orleans 20. LA Chargers 21. Pittsburgh 22. Atlanta 23. Chicago 24. NY Giants 25. Las Vegas 26. Philadelphia 27. Jacksonville 28. Carolina 29. Cincinnati 30. Detroit 31. NY Jets 32. Houston
  15. Good post! Another two points of note: 3. The Bills and Dolphins headed to the locker room after the TD since they thought the game was over, but the officials made everyone come back so the PAT could be attempted. I don't think the PAT was shown on TV. Now the NFL has changed the rule so no PAT on the final play of the 4th quarter if it would not affect the outcome. 4. Kelly said in an interview after the game that he was thinking to himself as he was running for the game-winning TD something along the lines of: "boy you better score or everyone's going to be p*ssed at you!".
  16. In 1982 they predicted we would win the SB, after we lost to Cincy in the AFCCG the previous year. Back then, they were a respectable organization, lol. :-)
  17. Ahhh...yep, flew right over my head! Yeah, thanks for mentioning that. I am way too serious that I didn't realize it, lol.
  18. ?? 1. Rookie contract amounts are pretty much set by agreement with the NFL and NFLPA, so the Bills management paid him what was allowed, for the most part. 2. Ralph died years ago. 3. A Jeep is a practical vehicle, good for a rookie's salary. He doesn't want to blow it all. --- EDIT: as others have pointed out, this was a joke. I apologize for my post!! Mea culpa.
  19. Thanks for the quick answer!
  20. Excellent post! Back in the 80's, teams could dress 45, and then in the 90's, I think, they NFL rules allowed a 3rd QB to dress to make it 46, but he could play only if the 2 ahead of him went down. Do you or anyone else know how and why it went to 47/48? I did not pay attention over the years. Also, I've have been busy as f---, so I haven't really followed all the news. A few more questions (that may have already been answered in this thread): 1. When can we place guys on the 53 to IR so we can bring back Ferguson and anyone else? 2. Who are the players likely to go on IR then and who is likely to be brought back, besides Ferguson, obviously? (And isn't a little dangerous to release a veteran LS like Ferguson, who is one of the top in the NFL?) 3. So 16 can go on the PS, but how many others who were not allowed under past rules are allowed this year on the PS?
  21. This is a good re-statement of the rules regarding IR and when and when they cannot be recalled. I wish this was somehow made into a sticky so some might read it and hopefully learn.
  22. Ah, I had forgotten about that, and see your point. My only counter is that was the second Bills-Jets game in 2014, so there was no option for swapping home games, if that were even a possibility. (But the hypothetical Miami swap may not be possible either, due to stadium availability and other scheduling issues and the short notice.). You're probably right...it would go to a neutral site.
