  1. From an ESPN article five days ago: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33335380/nfl-players-need-change-scenery-offseason-one-team-including-jarvis-landry-jimmy-garoppolo-zadarius-smith#BUF NFL players who need a change of scenery this offseason "Buffalo Bills Guard Jon Feliciano Moving on makes sense for both sides. It's not a must, but it would be a smart step. Feliciano lost his starting role during the 2021 season to Ike Boettger and Ryan Bates after stints on injured reserve and the COVID-19 list. The Bills would save over $4 million by designating him as a post-June 1 cut. Former Bills offensive line coach Bobby Johnson is now in the same role with the Giants, and Feliciano has worked with Johnson for most of his professional career. It would be a logical reunion. -- Alaina Getzenberg"
  2. I was certain after the Bills were up 16-0 late in the 3rd quarter in the Wild Card at Houston in 2019 that the game was won. And also in 1999 when Steve Christie hit the field goal to put us into the lead 16-15 with 16 seconds left in the 4th quarter at Tennessee in the Wild Card. Oops! OTOH, I said there was no way Cincinnati would beat Baltimore in Week 17 in 2017 to put the Bills in the playoffs. Glad I was wrong.
  3. Minor correction: Milloy had just been cut by New England after refusing a pay cut just before Week1 and was a free agent when he signed with Buffalo a few days after. The Bills won that first game against New England, 31-0, with Milloy leading the way. I thought the Bills were a sure-fire playoff team after that win. Big mistake!! New England returned the favor to us in Week 16 with an identical 31-0 win at home; and went on to win their second Super Bowl. And in 2006, we had just hired a new coach, Dick Jauron. He installed his Tampa 2 defense; and wanted personnel who could play this. This was the motive for drafting both Whitner and John McCargo in the first round, with McCargo apparently being the only player in the draft who could play in that system (according to the Jauron). I agree with you, Baltimore's pick, Haloti Ngata, would have been a tremendous asset. You were probably actually right on Watson, lol!
  4. Awesome videos and good memories! That first win set the tone for the season. But neither shows the best part: the fans tearing down the goal posts after. Grrrrr! 😃
  5. Yep, thank you both. Obviously, I need to learn that an Achilles is not the same as an ACL. Anatomy class for me.
  6. Thank you. I was just about to post this list myself, but now I don't need to. Yep, he and Willis McGahee were the first to come to mind for me.
  7. Well, I doubt Flores would forge a document. On the first pic of his law firm's tweet, it says on the bottom of the page where they don't want him to make any disparaging statements against the Dolphins "Flores - Separation Agreement - 1.27.22"; and on the third pic, they provide a document saying Flores refused to sign the separation agreement that has Brandon Shore's (of the Dolphins) signature And even it is standard, the Dolphins specifically denied offering him the NDA in their statement.
  8. I think @YoloinOhiowas joking.
  9. Yeah, maybe, but I have no idea what happened.
  10. Might be an attempt to get more concessions from Green Bay?
  11. [subscription may be required:] https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/russ-brandon-resigns-from-bills-sabres-after-internal-investigation/article_627990fe-618f-5864-8251-fb29d950d192.html "[...] Pegula Sports and Entertainment conducted an internal investigation into Brandon's workplace behavior and allegations of personal misconduct, two sources told The Buffalo News on Tuesday. [...] Kim Pegula on Friday informed Brandon an internal investigation was being conducted. Two sources with knowledge of the investigation said it was triggered by allegations of inappropriate relationships with female employees. When confronted by Kim Pegula, the sources said, Brandon denied any such relationships, but the investigation indicated he was deceitful about that and other job-related issues that were uncovered."
  12. I hear you. Me, personally, I'd rather play that Thursday and have more time to prepare for game 2, especially since there are already two weeks plus between the final pre-season game and opening Sunday.
  13. Agreed, they are brining attention to the letter, probably in an attempt to drive up clicks. Or maybe it is an automated process, and the most clicked on links get posted under their trending news via algorithm.
  14. But it's not really news (it's a person who wrote a letter's corny opinion); and the first post is misleading, since it was just on a sidebar of trending news without the poster seeing the letter, not an actual article or opinion from a pundit. It's nothing to talk about, as no sane person would have this opinion.
  15. It is on a sidebar on the front page, under "Trending News". This thread probably should be locked.
  16. Can you try clearing your cache/cookies and/or use a different browser or device?
  17. Agreed. I am not sure if it is sarcasm or not. The letter is just weird. It doesn't make a good point either way, addressing four entirely different issues too briefly without any real insight or logic: the stadium, relocation McD's coaching in the AFC Divisionals, and racism.
  18. Sad. I'm sure he enjoyed coaching though and had a positive effect on his players.
  19. In other news, the Detroit Lions will keep ticket prices the same, or even reduce the costs of some seats, for the 2022 season: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/18/lions-wont-raise-ticket-prices-in-2022/ "The Lions had the lowest average attendance during the 2021 season on their way to a 3-13-1 season and they won’t be charging fans anything extra for the pleasure of watching them play in 2022. In a letter from team president Rod Wood to season ticket holders, the team revealed that ticket prices will not be going up for the coming season. There will be price reductions for about 16 percent of the seats at Ford Field." Let's be grateful we are not them!
  20. That would be nice, but I think they would celebrate any Bills loss, as it means potentially getting ahead of us. Plus, they don't have any beef with the Rams, AFAIK. Now...maybe Cincinnati would be happy with a Bills win, lol.
  21. Good post, and good research. I agree it will be either Buffalo or SF vs. LA, but I don't put it past the NFL to feature the Cowboys again; although Fox will fight hard for the game, since if Brady actually stays retired and Rodgers leaves Green Bay, this will be their best game. One minor quibble: in 2013, the defending SB champ Baltimore did not host the game, but went away to Denver to play it, due to a scheduling conflict.
  22. Agreed. I would have liked to have known too. Lists are always good.
  23. Nope. See a list of the opening games here, since they started in 2002: [scroll down about a quarter of the way:] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_Kickoff_Game
  24. Yeah, on the 506 forums, they said the Bills Mafia might take over the stadium. Well, they play the Packers, but at Green Bay, so they are off the list (only once, in 2013, was the defending SB champion away for the opener, and that was only due to a schedule conflict). So, you're basically correct in that the Packers are a no-go.
  25. Agreed with Buffalo. I also think the NFL would be mindful of Kroenke's complaints of 49'ers fans taking over the stadium, so I doubt it's SF. And it's been over 10 years since there was a conference championship game rematch for the opener. Over on the 506 forums, the Bills are the overwhelming favorites. Some have also said if Rodgers goes to Denver, they could also be in play (as you stated too).
