  1. Did you hear that crescendo of crowd noise in anticipation of the INT?! Sounded like the game was in OP!
  2. I think a lot of these guys are still trying to milk the "shock" factor of picking the Bills to win anything. It's still the cool, outside the box pick to an extent, and that's driving a lot of this. The NFC is filled with teams that would give us huge problems in a playoff game, and there are several AFC teams I don't want to play under any circumstances. Calling us the #1 SB favorite is borderline nuts.
  3. Don't move on! Remember! And remember never to move up in a draft again! For anyone! Idiots move up; the smart guys trade down for more picks.
  4. I have been calling for some clever practice squad steals for several weeks now. The overall performance our of OL is bad enough that I think there is a good chance 1 or 2 of the best OLmen currently on practice squads could actually improve our on-field game. I.E., our starting OL is operating at or below a replacement level anyway...so why not bring in some fresh bodies and see if they can improve the landscape? Our scouting department is supposed to know who the OL gems of the practice squads around the league are. Go get some of these guys.
  5. This hits on what I was wondering about from the beginning of all this...around a week or 2 before Gruden got fired from the Raiders... Namely, why? Why this? Why now? Why Gruden? Why not anyone else? The whole thing absolutely wreaks of some type of personal vengeance plot against Gruden. The fact of the matter is Gruden is a cocky, egotistical maniac and I think he made a lot of enemies around the league for a long time when he was a coach in the old days. He spent most of his time on the MNF broadcasts kissing ass around the league and trying to get back on good terms so he could re-enter the coaching ranks. I assume he has a lot of enemies.
  6. That was the problem? We weren't "angry" enough? Where does this stuff come from?
  7. Without a line that can open holes, there is no point in spending on a RB. In fact, that's no point in spending a lot on a RB at all!
  8. *quoth*
  9. Yes. It's a big deal.
  10. Who cares? How soon until he scores points? If the move doesn't pan out, he'll be gone. No big deal.
  11. Only in the big weight classes. There is a lot of great boxing at the middle weight and below divisions. Canelo Alvarez, for example, is awesome to watch and a real crowd pleaser.
  12. Chicago deep dish pizza Tuna phish buffalo style chicken wings Sweet peas Grilled Bread Heart of palm salad Dirt pudding Lime sherbet 38 special of the day Hot Tuna salad Rainbow sherbet
  13. The contact wasn't the source of that flag. He was reaching for his flag and had his hand on the flag prior to the contact with the player. The player said something to some one IMO.
  14. I mention this all the time here, but big time soccer all over the world has had problems with fixed games and corruption from officials, etc. As to why anyone thinks the NFL would be immune to that type of thing is beyond me. I'm not saying it is fixed--I'm saying it very well could be fixed at some point and it is definitely something to keep an eye on. If and when it actually happens, I will certainly not be surprised.
  15. Something I am tuning into more and more as the week unfolds is that we weren't adjusting our routes nearly enough, given that it was almost a historically bad day for the O line. We couldn't block anyone and it was a gigantic problem...and yet look at the video the OP posted here. Everyone is running a deep route that takes huge time to develop. We could have helped our own cause with more short to mid routes IMO.
  16. The talk is noteworthy because it is precisely the opposite of what you reference. Sal Capaccio said it was the most frank and honest McDermott has ever been. I haven't had a chance to listen myself yet.
  17. We aren't on the team. We don't play the games. You need to rethink your position here.
  18. You want to watch those backs run into a brick wall at the line? Our OL cannot open holes. Barry Sanders wouldn't run well on this team.
  19. Why can't fans understand that we can't fix every aspect of the team, both sides of the ball, at one time? The O line is the last team to really get attention, and you better believe it will get a lot of attention this offseason. Who ever said this was the year we win it all? Calls for a SB are far fetched. We might not get it right for another 3 years. If we do get it right and win the big one, who cares!?
  20. Report: Odell Beckham Jr. Prepared to Cause ‘Issues’ If Wrong Team Claims Him Off Waivers https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2021/11/08/odell-beckham-browns-waivers-preferred-destination
  21. It's so funny! After every loss, each contingent of fans comes out of the woodwork screaming for their cause. The "Fire the OC" crowd is always present, but we hear them loudest after a loss. Then you have the "the refs did this to us" crowd bitching about biased officiating. Then you have the "the defense is not good enough" crowd complaining about defense. And so on.
  22. You actually traveled to watch that "game?" My condolences.
  23. Thurman Thomas played 30 years ago. The game has moved on since then.
  24. Give me a break! He was awful. And he wasn't alone in that either.
