If you eliminate projections, speculation, and estimation, you eliminate about 99% of the talk at this board. What fun is that?

A lot of folks thought he could have and should have done more before the trade deadline to bolster the OL, which is a train wreck. Still agree it's not on one guy if we don't win the SB. I highly doubt we will win the SB this year, and I don't think that was ever a realistic goal. The team is not done being formed.

NFL will be better off without dirtbag Kroenke
Nextmanup replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
He may be worth over $10 Billion, but he definitely dresses like a clown. -
The NE front 7 is as good as any in the game. They will terrorize our OL, and both games should be the kind where Josh and the offense struggles to put up points. Our D is outstanding too, and Mack, as good as he has been for a rookie, is still limited. Should be hard, tough, low scoring game and we can easily lose.

Ughhh, looks like another rainy home game
Nextmanup replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have a fast moving defense and a very talent offense based on passing. Bad weather is ALWAYS going to upset what this Bills team likes to do on a football field. Bad weather is an equalizer for weaker teams; helps them keep up with better teams. We are finally good enough that we should NOT want bad weather, ever. -
The Patriots defensive Front 7 is as good as any unit in the NFL. They will be one of those teams, like Pittsburgh, that can give our OL absolute fits all night, and that usually makes for a poor game from Josh Allen. He can't do his thing if he's running for his life the moment the ball is snapped. I'd be shocked if we put up 30+ against NE; they're going to be games where we struggle offensively. We've already seen those types of games against lesser opponents than the Patriots.

NFL players and firearms go together like salt and pepper, sugar and cream, beer and pretzels.... Do any of these guys NOT carry guns? That list would be much shorter than the list of guys who do carry guns.

Colts @ Bills — Uniform reveal
Nextmanup replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't understand the weekly fascination with Bills uniforms either. Here's a tip: turn on the game or go to the game. Wait for Bills players to come on the field. You'll know what the uniforms look like. PS: It doesn't matter what the uniforms look like. You might as well keep a running catalog of what player is wearing what brand of cleats among other useless pieces of information that have no bearing on the game. -

Has there been a year with good weather luck? Ever? This is WNY we are talking about. -
My first concert was also Foreigner at the Aud, but I believe it was 1981. Billy Squier opened for them. I was 10 years old and my mom took me, my older sister, and her best friend at the time. The lights came on at intermission and the entire top section of the Aud was FILLED with a dense cloud layer of smoke from mostly pot, but also some cigarettes. The world was a different place as recently as then! You mean Buffalo Memorial Auditorium. "The Aud" to WNYers. God I miss that building!

I find that the more people feel the need to dismiss the Patriots and Mac Jones, the greater their fear that they will beat us! It's hilarious, but psychology 101 I'm afraid.
-
You thought you'd start an entire thread noting how over-hyped they are, huh? You must be really scared of them! 😭 Well, so much for that plan.
-
You'll have to define what you mean by "problems" exactly. The Patriots are going to be two, tough, huge outs for us this year. You can count on that! Doesn't mean we can't beat them twice! They are getting stronger every week; they are a good example of how long an NFL season is and how things are never the same at the start of the year vs. the end of the year. They are getting stronger every week.

4 Current Players already deserve to be on Bills All-time team!
Nextmanup replied to JY422's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's a lot of "I'm older than you so I know better" bias in these responses. See my comments about Diggs...he's easily as good as WR as the Bills have EVER had... If anything, modern players should receive a grading curve in their favor, b/c they play the game NOW, where everyone is a monster who can fly. I always love the names that come out of the woodwork from 1963...when OLmen were 250 pounds, some guys played both ways, and linebackers were, among other things, ridiculously slow by modern standards. A garden variety player in todays' game would be a talent standout in the '50s or '60s. In the NHL, the average player talent gap between now and even the '80s or '90s is HUGE. I'd argue half the starting NHL goalies of the 1980s would not be AHL goalies now, let alone NHL starters. But now I'm discussing hockey and not football. Anyway, some of the old timers (i'm close to one myself) might want to re-evaluate how great those old players were. Could they even play in today's game? -

I think I'd elevate Diggs to Tier 1 right now. We have had some nice receivers over the years...Frank Lewis! Jerry Butler! Andre! Lofton! Lee Evans; Stevie Johnson; Eric Moulds, Terrell Owens (almost forgot about him!) Peerless Price, Ahmad Rashad! I'm sure I'm missing a few good ones... But how many of those were basically the best WR in the game while they were a Bill? Even Andre Reed was not that. TO was way past his prime as a Bill; Most of James Lofton's career came as a Packer. I'd easily say Diggs is as good a WR as we've ever had. Certainly top 3. -
NFL TV Schedule and Maps: Week 11, 2021
Nextmanup replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
You mean like even before the AFL days? Yeah, that's old! LOL; just kidding -
It is helpful at times like this to remember times like the Dick Jauron era. Reminds you of how good we have it now. For those too young to remember, this is pretty much how it felt when we rose to stardom the last time in the late '80s. That led to 4 Super Bowls. Keep your fingers crossed!

Buffalo are returning to the (near) Buffalo area
Nextmanup replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall
That will never happen again. It's gone forever! It would be much more useful for state and local governments to reinvent themselves and attract high paying white collar jobs to the area. That's the future, not steel mills. -
I want to go back in time and find the guy who invented the term "arm talent" and then kill him as a child, so the world can be free from this idiotic term.

It's amazing what a short shelf life these guys have. Not long ago at all, he was the toast of the league and a great runner. Now he's thrown to the curb as old and burned out. You can understand why these guys why every nickel they can get in their nickel-getting years.
-
None of the guys you mention (I'm a huge Bonzo fan) are anywhere near the level of Ginger Baker. Those guys couldn't swing to save their ass; Ginger could do it all and thought of himself first and foremost as a jazz drummer, not a rocker drummer. Even Bonzo (best rock drummer of them all IMO) was quite clearly on a lower level than Baker. Keith Moon was a very crude "great" drummer by great drummer standards. He got by on more enthusiasm than talent IMO. Ginger in the era of this video was on another planet.

Classy young woman! PS: I agree, if the guy was into it and maybe even cajoled her into doing it, I'm not sure why it's a problem exactly.
