  1. What a shame. The Rams are about to win a SB and the Bengals are getting to one in their second season after drafting a rookie QB. For some reason we have to be on the 7 year plan.
  2. Not necessarily and I think it's unfair to suggest that. If you're implying no team in the NFL interviews purely to comply with the rule, you're naive. Have a look at Jon Gruden's emails, and much more importantly, look at the league structure surrounding them (over a long period of time) that did NOTHING about them.
  3. Rooney Rule candidate? Please hire someone with lots of NFL play calling experience. We are not the drought era Bills anymore!
  4. Anyone in any Super Bowl should try and win at all costs! You have the highest odds you'll ever have of winning a SB going into a football game! Gotta take advantage of that. It's why our 4 losses were so painful! You've made it to within 3 steps of the summit of Mt. Everest and then have to turn back to base camp after all that hard work!
  5. I know hindsight is 20/20, but you would think that when one or more defenders heard Mahomes shout that to Kelce, they would be smart enough to swarm to the guy and maybe even tackle him. I don't expect them to know what was up exactly, but you would think they had an idea it was going to involve Kelce...which they should have been thinking anyway.
  6. Didn't you hear, he's been black listed from the league for quite a long time now. But we do have clever logos printed on the backs of helmets now, with things like "End Racism" and "Inspire Change." If you don't laugh at the hypocrisy, you'll cry.
  7. I have thought about this specifically as well. I tend to agree. I think, for this reason, we will not see Doug Pederson as the new OC--too accomplished and strong a personality for McDermott's taste. (We may not see him for a thousand other reasons too). I fear we will get a more unknown, up and coming guy as a result, one who may well not have previous NFL play calling experience--which I think is a huge mistake. Whoever they hire should be a stud with LOTS of previous play calling experience. I just hope I'm wrong about all this and they go with best man available, and not best man available that makes McDermott feel safe/comfortable.
  8. It's amazing how much "sports talk" is predicated on some official comment made in public by a player, coach, GM, owner, whoever...as though what these people say publicly has anything to do with what they are actually thinking. Did we all expect Daboll to say "To be honest, I think he's terrible. I plan to quickly move on from him, and it's going to be tough sledding for a few years, but we'll get it done!" ???
  9. Last night during the NFC game, Joe Buck said something like "As you have been pointing out forever, Troy, any team's passing game is only as good as its third receiver." Despite rather disliking Troy Aikman, I thought that was interesting. I immediately thought of Davis' game agains KC. I think it's a solid observation. If you have THREE stud targets, opposing defense cannot take them ALL away from you. This jibes with what I've been saying here lately--go get another stud WR for next season. I would get rid of Beasley, and then you'd have Diggs, Davis, and hopefully some stud WR as well that we acquire---plus Knox and his continued development at TE. Totally revamp the OL and we should be in top gear every week, instead of just now and again as we were last season. Put 30 on the board every week and see who can keep up.
  10. How dare you! When his name is mentioned here, you are to be triggered and reiterate that he is terrible compared to Josh Allen! Also, it's a good time to throw in a dig about the city of Cleveland and the Browns organization, despite both being virtual clones of Buffalo and the Bills, historically. 🤔
  11. I find it odd how many fans are "picky" about what neutral games they will watch or not watch. WTF? There are only a handful of playoff games each year and then it's a LONG offseason! Why in the world wouldn't you watch all of them, at least as long as they are competitive and interesting? I'll look forward to the SB and enjoy it as long as the game is close. I'm just looking for a good, close game, that isn't decided until the end. Halftime is when I get up and do other things; no interest in the halftime show whatsoever.
  12. Do you think the fact that he plays for Buffalo has anything whatsoever to do with your opinion? Is there any chance of bias on your part?
  13. Not excited, per se. But looking forward to the big game nonetheless. I just want to see a good football game; the matchup might prove to be great, who knows? I didn't think we'd get any good football games yesterday and we got 2 great ones. You never know.
  14. If Daboll is high on Daniel Jones, he's also high on something else.
  15. I don't see it as a 2 game combination that took KC out. A few bounces didn't go their way against the Bengals and Mahomes had an uncharacteristically poor second half. That's it. Anything beyond that is just talk by fans.
  16. He has more natural charisma and ability to "act" (if we can use that term) than most professional athletes, no doubt.
  17. You have to admire the complete lack of attention to detail, and general slovenliness in the thread title. A TBD instant classic in the making. 👎
  18. SEAN PAYTON PASSES THE INTERVIEW! BRING HIM IN TO CONTINUE WHAT MCDERMOTT HAS STARTED! Go BE THE DC SOMEWHERE, MCDERMOTT, AND THANKS!
  19. You realize the passing game being all set just moved to New Jersey, correct?
  20. Could use more!
  21. I've had enough of Frazier I think. The problem is he ain't gonna be hired anywhere, and we aren't going to fire him.
  22. That's true, but most of the time, they are just "open" in the conventional sense. It's not about their raw size allowing them to catch the ball. There's a lot more to it than that. Bills need to cash in on the TE party while it's available. I thought Knox made huge strides but he needs to continue to progress. Eventually teams will figure out how to shut it down.
  23. Mahomes had a lousy 2nd half by his standards. Probably still the best QB in the game right now. When Josh has a QB ring too, the debate will be more interesting.
  24. Didn't hurt, but it's not nearly that simple. Throwing the ball in OT, bouncing it off your WR, and into the hands of a safety coming over to help out a step or 2 late, for an INT helps a lot too. Mahomes had a terrible 2nd half, the Bengals coaching did a great job at halftime, and turnovers went Cincy's way. That all contributed as much as getting pressure on Mahomes. Much of the pressure that got him only got there ridiculously late, b/c the DBs were covering so well. If you want to get pressure on a QB, invest in your defensive backfield, not the DL.
