  1. Von Miller is the only answer that makes a real difference. And he is gone. Pass rush is no better than it was last playoff season. 97 was the only possible addition to push the middle on Burrow, but he is out out as well. Kind of sucks.
  2. Jackson is out of there, and I don't blame him. They won't franchise him, they are too cheap. Ravens should trade him for a boatload of picks and bring Trent Dilfer back for QB, their team is so boring. Ever watch a Ravens game? Like watching paint dry.
  3. Ok so weather decent.... now... Given the Phins propensity to blitz and their excellent D line, plus their banged up and now weak secondary, time to go empty and light 'em up! get yer popcorn.
  4. If they don't win, then they didn't deserve to be there in the first place. If they do, I just want it to be injury free, so that we can really see what they can do against the Bengals. I don't want to be like the Ravens and Phins, forced to play backup QBs. We already solved the 13 seconds problem by firing the cause. Hopefully the Bills win it all this year; but still think last year was "the year" if Heath Farwell doesn't completely choke.
  5. who the heck flies between B Lo and Atlanta enough to justify a pile of direct flights? come on man..
  6. Well, no. Saffold is on a one year deal , so he won't be back in all likelihood. Bates, Shnow, Morse signed long term, Brown on rookie deal....Doyle will come back from injury and Boettger is already back now , so next year its Bates/Boettger at guard, Schnow/Brown at tackles. I am good with that, but yeah need a guard in the draft in the 2nd or 3rd round for sure to build depth and replace Saffold/Quess... Guys like Hart and VanRoten are playing bc Doyle and Ike have been hurt.
  7. I remember when I played (oh about a hundred years ago) once you found a helmet brand/fit you really liked, you wanted to hang on to it out of fear you would not be able to find that fit again. NFL teams are contracturally stuck with helmet vendors today and his next team may not use the same vendor. Just a thought
  8. If the Chiefs stop the Bills again this year, Von's absence will be the primary reason. Josh will need to have the Superman cape on this year to get past Cinci and KC and Philly/SF , all of whom have big time pass rush specialists.
  9. Lets just get this guy his super bowl t-shirt so he can wear it next time he's out trying to find out what happened to the Two Guys store on Walden Avenue. that ought to be enough. just tell him they won the SB a couple years ago.
  10. yep, sure why not interview him? why interview him: ... let me think, QB coach and OC of a top 3 NFL offense.....was QB coach on our SB team under Riviera so is familiar with organization.....Dan Morgan (who walks on water in Charlotte) vouches for him. .... yeah I think I'll talk to that guy Makes perfect sense to me. In fact he may be a better organizer than the typical play-caller-only OC, who knows?. Which may make him a better HC than a guy who is just an Xs and Os guy. eg. You don't make your best sales guy your VP of Sales. Skill sets are completely different. Just some thoughts.
  11. I agree. Barring significant changes in injury status to key players, this is about how it will shake out, IMO. Von was the x factor and he is gone. If the rush can't get to mac f ing jones what will happen when Mahomes gets going???
  12. agreed. after watching todays game, down in and down out, no way Bills get past the Chiefs , only turnover ratio can save them. Bills lit up a injured/non existent Chiefs secondary and pass rush last year . this year the roles are reversed. Miller was the game changer, and he is gone, along with our secondary . sorry, I can root for the alternative, but my head says no way.
  13. hard to tell exactly what the coverage is from play to play, even on the all-22 view. we need to be careful to criticize when we do not really know what we are looking at with any kind of exact knowledge
  14. Thnaks for this. Very helpful
  15. Trying to think this through and largely failing. Help.
  16. Plus Taron J probably out at nickel. Think of this backend: Jacquan J (molasses), Siran Neal (but hey, great against the run...), Cam Lewis (just a risk all the way around), Poyer and Tre on 1 leg each. This is as bad as it can get.
  17. net, net, with both free safeties (Hyde and DH) out , our best cover corner (Benford) out, Poyer playing on only one arm and only one leg, Tre White playing on one leg , Bills secondary is pretty much screwed for the rest of this season. The replacements are slow footed and will be consumed by the Kelce's and Chase's of the world. Is what it isl. Hell, I expect f ing Mac f ing Jones to light 'em up Sunday. Josh had better have his A-game all post-season or this will be over pretty quickly
  18. yep. 1st round bye is massive. regarding the "neutral site" AFC title game concession, this is garbage, as getting screwed out of the opportunity to have a 1st round bye is a huge loss. I like the idea of adding an 8th playoff team and letting both the #1 and #2 seeds have byes.
  19. Thanks all. I would probably just hang out at Danny's and/or the Big Tree for the 4pm game and get an Uber to come get me at 7 or so. Good to know about the ECC Lot A ride share hub tho..
  20. Gotta love it, his first question was ".. who won the game.?.." Go Bills!
  21. Great. Figure I could just walk down to Danny's or the Big Tree for pickup afterwards....
  22. When in town this weekend, I may have an opportunity to go to the game solo. Not sure how to get to / from. Does anyone have any experience using ride-share to get to and from the stadium? Could I depend on it? thanks
  23. Yeah, starting to look like the Damar situation will be this years' "13 seconds". This is why I believe in "the process": keep building the roster of high quality athletes/people, don't go all in and blow the cap in any one season, stay highly competitive. draft/develop and re sign ... the Lombardi will come if this is maintained, if not this year, next, etc.
  24. We'll know a lot more in 24 hours as they begin to wean him off the ventilator. and then in 48 hours when they remove the sedation. by end of week should know how he is likely to come out of this
  25. They are pretty much getting a bye week right now, there is value in that I suppose from a team health perspective... trying to fit 3 games in two weeks reminds me of Covid times, and that did not seem right at all... the league probably learned from that ? I'd be surprised if they try to continue this game
