Bills corners are either not quick, big or strong enough to play press coverage. Play press and the WRs will beat them multiple times a game, and the pass rush cannot be relied upon to rush the throw. Bills are a relatively weak pass rush team needing to play mainly a zone scheme with players that fit that scheme. It is a conservative approach the recognized the limitations of the roster. Makes sense to me until guys like AJ grow up and start getting a pass rush. We don't have pro bowl Chris Jones and Frank Clark to rush the passer. So you play zone to take away the big play.

My non-medical, pull out of as- viewpoint is that is that body type (not compact), makes him great in coverage but , like Edmunds, perhaps prone to "reaching-type" injuries to extremities. An AJ Klein probably can't jump more than a foot off the ground or sprint , but his compact body doesn't get dinged on the edges the way TE and MM's can and do. I'd rather have the guy who can stay on the field and be above average than have the super athlete type who gets picked off every 6th game. I'm guessing (there I go again) that most NFL LBs probably can't even get into the situations that caused TE and MM's injuries, which in a way is good (?)

yeah really no point in cutting him. let him come to camp and compete with whoever else we bring in. then decide. silly reactionary post.

Week 1 2021 NFL Season Schedule Prediction

should be fun. Looking to come up for a game this year. time to bring back the 70's , 80's memories again... man I grew up in that place.. . Joe Ferguson, Bob Chandler, Bert Jones (?!) remember those guys?.. -
My sense is AJ will get a great offseason program in and be 100% better next year. And when Star comes back and takes over the 1-Tech, Oliver will go back to 3-tech full time and be back penetrating and disrupting the way he was drafted to do. Losing Star this year was a bigger deal than most realize.

Brown- should they cut him?

He's the only speed guy the Bills have. He isn't going anywhere until they get another 4.4 guy in there. -

they go right back there next season to play them -
anyone have the lineup of "expert talking heads" game picks? Everything I've heard seems to indicate its at least 2 to 1 Chiefs. Good underdog fodder. Go Bills. This is perfect.

Patricia returning to Pats

Could be a family decision moreso than anything else. I doubt his family moved from New England (his wife is from there and he has three kids under 10) to, um, Detroit. Just a thought. -
Breer: How the Bills Were Built
ProcessTruster replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IF they can get Josh to agree to have his new deal start after his 5th year, then their "SB window" with this roster lasts two more years (and gets you two more drafts to add talent). That is what you want; I do not know what is happening with his deal, but I believe pushing the giant cap hit out two years is possible. If anyone gets wind of what Josh's deal is looking like from this perspective, sing out. If the Giant Cap Hit is next year, then keeping this really cool team together is likely not possible. -
If KC is healthy and it does not rain cats and dogs (which is the prediction), Bills will need to put up high 30's to come out on top. I'm thinkin 41 - 35 KC. Its all about who can get 3 or 4 stops. On a sloppy track with both teams healthy, KC for sure. My heart says Bills, but my head says KC. We shall see. Go Bills ! Make me a liar.

Completely agree. Marrone called B-llSh-t on the situation, got no answer and pulled the ripcord and got out of disfunction city. My respect for him went up a few notches for having the brains to see the disfunction and put the opt out clause in his contract.
