  1. Why punish the people in florida/tenn/texas because they don't live under stricter guidelines set by the Governor? Well, like you said, life is not fair 😄
  2. The 2018 Chiefs went 12-4 with 2 regular season wins over playoff teams. Mahomes threw for 5,000 yards, 50 TDs, and won the regular season MVP. They won a playoff game before losing in the AFCCG in OT to the eventual SB winning Patriots. I'd say they were pretty well established as an elite team.
  3. 1997-2020 would be 46 championship games, or 92 different chances for teams to play in championship games I'm more surprised that 8 teams haven't been there in that timeframe.
  4. There's no evidence to suggest Star is important to this defense. In fact, all quantifiable evidence points towards Star not having much of an impact. I understand that being double teamed is a positive that won't show up on a stat sheet. But this guy has very few tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, QB pressures, and only played 46% of snaps last year. Getting double teamed on occasion doesn't suddenly make Star the pivotal part of this defense. So why did our defense get so much worse from 2019 to 2020 if Star wasn't a pivotal player? There's a lot of factors that go into it. In no particular order: J Philips leaves in free agency Shaq Lawson leaves in free agency Jerry Hughes is a year older Star opts out Offensive holding penalties are not being called to the same standard Strength of schedule Is Star a good player? That's debatable, but I don't think so. "Good" to me means better than average, and I think he's the definition of average. Is Star overpaid? That's an easy Yes Did Star opting out hurt the team? Yes. Even though I think Star is a JAG that could have been easily replaced, we didn't even try to find a replacement.
  5. So Star played every first down, and every first down was a positive defensive play, leading to easier 2nd/3rd downs and being able to sub Star out? Wow, didn't realize he was even better than Aaron Donald
  6. Was Star missed last year on the 54% of defensive snaps that he did not play on? I have a hard time believing a guy that played less than half of our defensive snaps had a sizeable impact.
  7. Not saying Allen and the offense played well, but they played significantly better than the defense last night. This reminds me of some of the hot takes after the Bills vs Saints game that we lost 47-10. People trying to blame the loss solely on Tyrod when the DEF gave up 300 yards rushing and a TD on almost every Saints possession.
  8. I was one of the more vocal people in saying that Star was overpaid, and I'll stick to my guns. There was too much turnover on the D-line this offseason to pinpoint how much of an impact Star had. In addition to Star opting out, we lost J Phillips and Shaq Lawson in free agency. I thought those three guys would've been easy enough to replace, but here we are.
  9. I was one of the few people that said extending MCdermott was a mistake, and that we should've at least waited for him to finish out this season before doing so. Marvin Lewis is the perfect comparison - new coach comes in and brings a joke of a franchise up to respectability. However, he's only good enough to make the playoffs, but never win in the playoffs. This season has shown that we can beat low-end playoff teams (Raiders, Rams), but that we aren't that close to contending with Superbowl caliber teams (Titans, Chiefs). All that being said I do think Mcdermott is overrated on these boards. He's an average to slightly above average coach. People on here talking CoY candidate after week 4 were getting carried away
  10. When did we have the ball with a chance to get the lead in the 4th quarter??? Is he counting the kickoff with the Bills down 17-23 ? Or maybe the overturned fumble call? Maybe someone can look this up, but I imagine getting 245 rushing yards and 37 minutes TOP will result in a win 95%+ of the time. And that's the BLUEPRINT to beat the Chiefs? Ok...
  11. Chiefs 41 Bills 27 Our defense continues to play the way it has all season. Josh and the offense play OK but can't carry the team to victory.
  12. The only thing the short fields did was hurt the Titans total yards by the end of the game. Titans had 6 TDs on 9 possessions. At what point does "bend but don't break" turn into "bend over and take it" ?
  13. The announcers for the game were absolute trash. They had the narrative that it was a bad throw by Josh, and that he was forcing throws all night. The first INT wasn't a perfect throw, but it certainly wasn't a bad throw either. That's a catch 99% of the time in the NFL. Josh had a few bad throws (2nd INT being the worst), but Tannehill forced just as many throws. Josh had about 5 pretty routine NFL catches dropped whereas AJ Brown kept making contested catches for Tannehill.
  14. So let's ignore the easily fixable issue that could cost us a game in the future?
  15. I'm pretty sure you're trolling, but I'll bite anyway. Yes, Bass made the kick. I disagree, I think plenty of fans would've noticed without Feeley pointing it out. Having laces pointed directly at the kicker is a very rare occurrence in the NFL, and Bojorquez has done it multiple times this year. Yes, the game was a disaster, and there are plenty of things to worry about going forward. This play was irrelevant to the outcome of the game. BUT it's something that COULD cost us a game in the future (plenty of games come down to missed FG or PAT). AND this is something that can be very easily fixed. You either tell Bojorquez to stop being a knucklehead, or you have someone else (IE Barkley) as the holder. It's really that simple
  16. Maybe I'm not getting as worked up over this because the game was already out of reach, but I think letting the play stand was the correct decision. The NFL likes to say they need "clear evidence" to overturn the call on the field. Looking at the freeze frame it appears that his back foot is no more than a few inches beyond the LoS (note that since his foot is in the air we can't say definitively where his foot actually was at that time). He was probably over the line, but I can't be certain he was actually over the line, thus the play stands as called. I'm much angrier about the Rams INT and the non-TD for Brown not being overturned.
  17. It could cost us a game, and it's something that should be very easy to fix.
  18. This is a good shot of why they let the play stand. The blue line was off by a good amount, the real line of scrimmage was the 7 yard line. Tannehill's back foot was close enough to the 7 when he released I can see why they let the play stand. Side note: the broadcast and announcers were both atrocious last night. How many times do we need to see a kick off from the kickers view? How many key plays didn't get a replay? How many times are the announcers going to say "The Titans are heroes for playing so well after two weeks of not practicing" Let's ignore the video proof that they broke NFL protocol to hold in person meetings/mini practices?
  19. Titans had the 31st ranked rushing defense entering tonight. Coaching obviously thought that was a weakness, and obviously it did not work at all for us tonight. Bills finished with 57 yards on 20 carries (minus the garbage time runs) I agree on the defense that it's been bad all year. With an average offense this team would be 1-4 right now
  20. It wasn't a perfect pass, but that's a catch 99% of the time in the NFL.
  21. Yeldon did a good job of plowing ahead for ~3 yards. Singletary had a number of runs where he had multiple guys on him in the backfield. Dunno if that's on Singletary or the O-Line (but i'm leaning towards the oline)
  22. I like that you grade the QB on his performance rather than the outcome of the game. This was definitely the worst game by Josh this year, but it wasn't terrible. I think B-/C+ is fair.
  23. I'd give an HM to Tre White. After signing that huge contract I'd expect him to continue playing to at least a pro-bowl level, but he's been pretty bad (and now injured).
  24. How does that make any kind of sense? The Titans have to forfeit for breaking the rules, and those wins should go to an NFC team??? Not following the logic
