  1. This is where I'm at. His last season here it looked like he was responsible for at least 5 interceptions. I don't want him back, but my money would be on Beane re-signing him. Beane LOVES bringing back players that he's familiar with
  2. In what world have his hands been excellent? In this last year he had a BRUTAL drop on that 4th down in the playoffs and an abysmal 58% catch rate in the regular season.
  3. Bills Raiders 2011 week 2 We were down 21-3 at halftime and ended up winning 38-35. One of Fitzmagic's best games
  4. I'll go on a fact checking mission. 1st loss Chiefs had 9 possessions 5 TDs 1 FG 1 Punt 2 end of half 2nd loss Chiefs had 11 possessions 5 TDs 3 FGs 1 missed FG 2 Punts 3rd loss Chiefs had 9 possessions 3 TDs 2 FGs 1 Punt 1 Fumble 2 end of half 4th loss Chiefs had 10 possessions 4 TDs 1 FG 2 Punts 1 Fumble 2 end of half By my count that's only 8 stops by the Bills DEF and not 9 showing in the screenshot. Maybe they are counting the missed FG in game 2 as a defensive stop, or the muffed punt that we recovered in the 1st game. Those are both ST plays so I don't think they should count as DEF stops. I'm not counting any 'end of half' possession as a stop since those were all kneel-downs. In the SB on the Chiefs first 9 drives they had 6 punts, 2 INTs, and a failed 4th down.
  5. There's plenty of owners willing to spend cash to kick cap hits down the road. Most don't get the same results that the Eagles do. The Browns (lol) led the league in cash spending last season. The Eagles have that loaded roster from hitting on a lot of recent draft picks, fleecing a few teams in trades, and not handing out bad contracts. There's nothing unusual or special about how much cash Lurie is spending on the team.
  6. Going the draft rout was not the problem for the Chiefs, they struggled offensively after Mahomes torpedoed Rashee Rice's knee. Imagine how bad our offense would've looked last year if Shakir went on IR in week 4. We had a taste of that in the Texans and Ravens games that he was injured for. Proven talent through FA doesn't always work either. We gave Samuel a decent chunk of change and he was a non-factor (hopefully he'll be better this year when healthy).
  7. We didn't though. The Lions scored more than us in the regular season. The Eagles and Commanders scored more in the post season. Combining regular and post season stats together is dumb.
  8. Chiefs didn't have WR1 Rashee Rice in either game against us
  9. Rasul Douglas and Jordan Poyer are still available
  10. I could not hate this signing more. I don't care if it's vet minimum + incentives to reach this "up to" 6.8m. We cut him and ate dead cap TWO YEARS AGO because he was 100% cooked after (unfortunate) injuries. He was atrocious (borderline worst CB in the league) for the Rams last year before they benched him. They ultimately traded him to the Ravens for a 7th round pick swap. Essentially the lowest possible value you could trade a player for. He was awful for the Ravens (although he did slightly improve from worst CB in the league). This is reminiscent of bringing back Beasley/Brown in 2022, or AJ Klein in 2023, or Micah Hyde in 2024 because we're familiar with those guys. Re-signing guys who are 1000% cooked just because we're familiar with them is terrible roster building.
  11. I'm honestly in shock that Chad Pennington received MVP votes. 2008 was a massive down year
  12. I don't think he's worth a roster spot even at a vet minimum contract. I'd rather take a chance on an unproven guy than give it to an aging vet that looked as cooked as Douglas did last season.
  13. Are you a lawyer? To me, as a layperson, it seems like there's enough grey area this would be a tough lawsuit to win. Especially when you consider McAfee has the resources to buy the best defense attorneys. This reminds me of when McAfee was sued by Brett Favre for defamation. Favre withdrew the lawsuit with no settlement after McAfee clarified a few things. I guess that case is a bit different since Favre is a public figure and this girl is not. For this case I could see McAfee throwing some settlement $$ her way, but I'd be surprised if he loses the lawsuit.
  14. I've never listened to McAfee and never will, but I'm not clear on the legal merits of this case. He never used her name and tossed out some "allegedly's". The guy is allowed to reference a rumor on his show. The actual bad people in this story are whoever started the rumor, and anyone harassing/threatening this girl and her family. Those are the people that should be facing legal repercussions. They don't have deep pockets though so this girl and her attorney are not interested in them.
  15. For the replay-assist does roughing the passer fall under the hits to defenseless players category? Overall I could see this detracting from the viewing experience. Refs will be conditioned to throw a flag on anything that remotely looks like one of these penalties and just have it go to review. It's better for the ref to have it go to review and get it right than to risk not throwing a flag and getting it wrong. Similar to how they've been conditioned to never blow a play dead if there's any chance there was a fumble.
  16. I'd let the final year of his contract play out and see how it goes. 'Worst' case from a cap perspective is he plays great and we have to pay him more. If he continues to have injury concerns (depending on severity) we could franchise tag him or let him walk for a comp pick.
  17. It's not just concussions, he's had a lot of different injuries over the years. He missed half the season in 2022 with a broken hand and then an oblique injury. 2023 he missed a few games with a hammy, and the playoff game vs Chiefs with a knee. 2024 he missed a game with a wrist injury and then the back to back concussions in the playoffs. I don't think I would've extended a guy that hasn't played a full season and has missed game(s) in every postseason. Fingers crossed he can stay healthy since he's such a great player when he's on the field.
  18. Had to google it, but this is what it says: The nose wipe is a gang sign associated with the Bloods, indicating someone is untrustworthy. I don't understand the symbology. Like you I thought it had to do with fingering and then sniffing it. Either way I don't think it makes sense as an NFL celebration. As far as the rule change goes I don't care. Have any of our guys ever used it as a celebration?
  19. My fault for only reading the ESPN title and not the actual article. I still think it's an incredibly misleading title though. Should be "which teams are having the best off-season so far" not "which teams have had the best free agent class". Those are 2 different things
  20. Shakir/Rosseau/Bernard were not free agents though. They were all under contract with the Bills for the 2025-2026 season. If he's going to count those guys as 'returning' players you might as well count Allen for signing that extension.
  21. It's not irrelevant though. There was 1:54 left and we had all 3 timeouts. If we had forced a 3 and out (assuming 3 run plays) the offense would have 1:40 left to try and score. Instead the DEF folded like a cheap suit (again) and allowed 2 first downs. Only THEN was the game over and KC could kill the clock. We've set expectations so low on the DEF side of the ball in playoff games that nobody cares when they fail. It's fully expected. If I'm assigning blame for the last 2 losses to the Chiefs I'd say 2023: 90% DEF 5% Bass 5% OFF 2024: 90% DEF 10% OFF The Offense hasn't been perfect in the last 2 losses and they did fail to score on their last possession. However, they put together very strong games against a top defense. The DEF has gotten absolutely trounced by a very mediocre Chiefs offense.
  22. Hmmm I could've sworn it was the DEF on the field at the end of the game after giving up multiple first downs on KC's clock killing drive.
  23. Really gets over-looked just how bad the O-line was. Brown and Dawkins were both trash in this game
  24. I'll also point out that we absolutely caught some breaks in this game. Allen should've been intercepted on either of his first 2 throws, but KC dropped them. He also had 3 fumbles, but we recovered all of them. Mahomes inexplicably fumbled a good snap on their 2nd drive that we recovered. This was the weakest Chiefs team in the Mahomes era. They had a horse-shoe shoved up their behinds the entire regular season to win 15 games. They were more like an 11 win team. They got out-played by an injury decimated Texans team in the divisional round and got bailed out with some garbage calls. If we couldn't beat them this year will we ever be able to? I just don't see it with McD as head coach. His defense is atrocious in the playoffs
  25. It's technically true that he has the most playoff INTs of any Bills defender in the McDermott era. Of course that's only 2 INTs and they came against Skylar Thompson and Mason Rudolph...
