  1. 30+ year old backs get cut not traded. They have no value because no one knows what production they will generate. Shady could be All-pro or drop below 700 yards. He has been mostly healthy and he has good combination of speed and size - neither elite in either but very good in both.
  2. I think the Browns will draft Chubb or the OG from ND at 4 even if Barkely is still there. They can get an elite defender or OL and get a running back later. This scenario then allows Denver to take Barkely and would still leave one of the top 4 quarterbacks on the board at 6.
  3. It's all about Cleveland and the Giants. If they take a QB then the Bills need to get to 5 and maybe to 4 to get one of the top 4. If Cleveland takes Darnold, I think Giants trade out or take Chubb/Barkely, and then the Bills can trade to any spot they want and get Mayfield/Rosen/Allen. Hell they could sit at 12 and one of those guys could fall. In this scenario, I let Denver pick and I try to get to 8 by giving up a second round pick to jump past Miami. Hell if Denver passes on a QB they can just sit at 12 and not give up any picks.
  4. I will be there for sure
  5. Wins YPA INT% TD/INT ratio Wins and YPA are as much abput the entire offense as it is juat about the QB. YPA can be attributed to a good OL, WR YAC, succesaful play action because of good running game, and the offense not always being in must pass situations. 4th qtr comebacks are interesting. By definition it means the team was behind. Does the QB assume no blame for being behind after 3 qtrs but credit for a comeback?
  6. No. Cribbs and Shady were better running backs. And Schobel was the best player of the drought era.
  7. Hope it is true but it is not. Mayfield has a better chance of going 12 than he does to get picked at 3
  8. For the record, I have not formally announced my return to being a Bills fan for the 2018 season. My exploratory team will await the results of thr next two weeks before announcing.
  9. That is a fair trade. I think Lawson is a fat slow bust as a pass rusher but a serviceable DE. Adding Lawson and a 2019 #2 instead of a 2019 #1 seems fair. I still think it will be 12, 22, and 2019 #1 to get to #2 and keep the rest of the 2018 picks.
  10. Somehow in my mind I can forgive the Allen low completion percentage but not the high Darnold turnover rate. I'm probably wrong in both circumstances. I still like Allen best followed by Rosen. Sadly I think the draft will go Allen, Darnold, Rosen 1,2, and 3. I don't think Mayfield is worth trading up and the Bills then sit at 12 and then take Mayfield or Rudolph. I'm ok with that as it keeps all the picks to rebuild the lines, LB, and WR corps If the Giants pass on a QB and Browns take Darnold, the Bills must trade away multiple picks to get ahead of Denver at 5 to get the whichever QB the Jets don't take. Worst case scenario is the Bills give up a ton to get to #2, but at least then they will get the guy they want.
  11. Agree but they will get two years for that QB to succeed or fail not one.
  12. Id be ok with Rudolph at 22 and keeping all the other picks. Rudolph and AJ have as good a chance as any to succeed. Still want Allen most of all but would be perfectly fine with a starting WR, MLB, and DE and Rudolph
  13. No regime survives missing on a first round QB especially if they trade up. Whaley didn't survive a trade up for a WR. They must draft a QB or turn AJ into a ProBowl QB.
  14. Thurman is my favorite Bill of all time. I put him 3rd all time as a Bill behind Bruce and OJ, and ahead of Kelly and Reed. Thurman is definitely a HOF player but not top 10. Probably 11-15.
  15. Of course he is lying. Because if he really thinks they don't have glaring holes then he is an idiot. The starting MLB, OLB, C, RG, TE, and WR #1 all need to be replaced. And that doesn't even address QB, RT, nickel DB, DE, and DT.
  16. 1. Shady 2. Hyde 3. White 4. Poyer 5. Hauschka 6. Dawkins 7. Hughes 8. Clay 9. Benjamin 10. Davis Kyle is a great story but he is shot as a player. He will be lucky to make it out of camp. My hunch is he retires two weeks into camp. AJ could be on this list by game 6 but he is an unknown. Like others stated at least two of, the top three draft picks no matter who they are will crack the top 10 list. If the Bills stay at 12 and keep all their picks that number could go as high as 5.
  17. Let's hope the GNM's feel the same way and he falls to #12. He will be the best of the entire class. The same guys ripping Allen are the same morons that had Russell and Leaf rated high. They don't know anything. Its a crap shoot and if they can get Allen without giving up picks that would be sweet. I just don't see him dropping past Elway.
  18. Sadly for most of the last 15 years April has been the high point of the Bills year.
  19. Nobody knows including the GMs, the writer, and the OP. When the greatest QB of all time goes in the sixth round, Blackledge and Eason go before Marino, Leaf and Mirer one pick after Manning and Bledsoe, and guys like Romo and Warner go undrafted; it proves that none of these guys know who will succeed in the NFL. You can not compare Darnold and Allen without comparing the supporting casts. Since 2010 Wyoming has had 10 players drafted none higher than the 4th round. USC has had 99, 21 of which went in the first round. Drafting a QB every year is the surest means to finding a franchise guy. Just keep biting the apple no matter what other needs you have. Can you win without a Brady? Yes. But you need either a generationally great defense or a superior defense and a very very good QB.
  20. Stay at 12 and let Allen come to us would be best possible draft outcome All depends on Giants
  21. We can only hope Rosen and Allen make it past Jets. That is Bills wet dream.
  22. Pay it, draft your QB, and move on to the future.
  23. We didn't want Mathews or Brown to return. I think most would have taken Gaines back but the injury history is an issue.
  24. Larry Fitzgerald is traded to Pats for 2nd round pick Pats trade Gronk to Seattle for a 3rd this year and a 2nd next Miami trades down, takes Rudolph in the mid first round Denver takes Minkah Fitzpatrick passing on a QB letting Buffalo move to 6, 7, or 8 and get Rosen, Mayfield or Allen.
