  1. Clearly we need to add a MLB, but it may not happen until roster cuts come. Until then, one of our backups will have to man that spot. I have a feeling their plan, whatever it was, got fubar'd and they're forced to scramble for a lesser option. I'd be happy just to see an average talent at MLB. My money is on an aging veteran that gets a 1 year deal and a day 1 or 2 draft pick in 2024.
  2. LOL speeding? Is this a joke? How come I don't get a thread when I get a ticket?
  3. I don't know because I knew our OL was going to be a problem last year. I certainly don't see us as SB favorites now unless a few more pieces fall into place. This team is still good, but I suspect we'll take a step back in 2023.
  4. I'll be absolutely amazed if Torrence isn't a day 1 starter. I also think he will light a fire under the collective backsides of the other Offensive Linemen. As far as Brown becoming "real nasty" goes, I'll believe it when I see it and I'm not holding my breath. He still has a ridiculously long way to go and remains among the worst starting RT's if not the very worst. Some say Quessenberry is worse, but I just don't see it.
  5. You'd think they'd be signing a RT and ILB. They've done absolutely nothing about either of our 2 biggest needs yet. Is there a plan?
  6. He has been hurt, but he's certainly played at a higher level than Brown up to now. I understand he's set a price for teams to talk to him, but eventually reality will set in. If Brown makes a good step up, so much the better. Dalton Risner is still out there too if we're so inclined, but they're already commited to McGovern it appears. I think Dawkins - Risner/McGovern - Morse/Bates - Torrence/Bates - Wynn/Brown looks much better than last year's OL. I doubt either of these signings will happen, but either one would be nice.
  7. We have 2 solid NT's now. Ford is every bit as good as Jones too. Neither is great, but still...
  8. Solid move. If Harris can't go, we still have a capable power funner.
  9. Not that he'll be great, but a 4.49 40 time! That's crazy fast for a LB. In any case, he's a Bill so I wish him the best and who knows? Maybe he will be great after all. Stranger things have happened. There are a few UDFA's in the HOF after all. We can only hope he'll be the next.
  10. Everyone looks good on their highlight video. I do like that he can hit tho. Since he's slow, maybe they move him inside.
  11. I wouldn't say that Harris is any better than Singletary, but he's no worse and he's a better fit. I also think we're weak at 1 Guard spot even with Torrence whom I expect to be our best Offensive Lineman. I'm not at all impressed with any of the other Guards on our roster. Still, it's Brown's 3rd year and he's healthy, so that bodes well. Also, I think Torrence brings a very positive outlook to the OL room that should lift performances across the board. If we sign even an average MLB or trade for one and even land Hopkins to pay us back for Hail Murray, this team is going to be as good as any in recent memory. Josh obviously needs to reduce the turnovers after leading the NFL in that category last year, but he can do that for these reasons. For one, he can slide more and wrap up the ball much better. That should reduce fumbles. Also, throwing from a clean pocket and having better skill players along with a more productive ground game should help him reduce interceptions. I'm surprised we didn't trade up for one of the 2 quality MLB's left in the 3rd, but perhaps Beane just wasn't able to find the right deal. I believe we'll be OK if we just get a veteran MLB with decent speed and cover skills as well as a pass rusher to hold down Von's spot until he's ready to go.
  12. I have a feeling we will trade up for a ILB.
  13. O'Cyrus Torrence please! YESSSSSSS!!!
  14. Are there any decent OT's left? I'm afraid our crying need for multiple upgrades on our OL will go unheeded.
  15. I have to believe Knox is now trade bait. He's far too good to be TE2 and we traded up in the 1st to get his replacement. Surely they didn't draft a TE 2 in the 1st. Kincaid runs a 4.71 40, so playing him as a WR makes little sense unless he's our new slot guy. BTW, Kincaid doesn't block well at all, so in-line TE also seems a remote possibility. He also wants to play for the Bengals. I sincerely hope either Cody Mauch or Matthew Bergeron is in their crosshairs. We can always sign a FA MLB before the season if there isn't one they like in the 3rd. I just don't understand why Beane isn't more concerned about our OL. They're freaking awful and he just keeps signing more bad O Linemen thinking that will solve the problem. It won't. I feel bad for Josh and Damien Harris. They sign a receiver that Josh will be throwing to while he's running for his life. I thought McDermott said he didn't want Allen to get injured. Replacing that human turnstile at RT would certainly help that cause.
  16. I so hope we can trade way back. I'm looking at best remaining players and I don't see anyone I want for a long way back. I'd like Mauch or Bergeron. Just don't waste a 1st round pick on a WR please!
  17. Well my 3 top picks are all gone. I still want a OT with our first pick, but I'm afraid they'll take a WR or take a big reach for a LB. My optimism is fading fast though. We are desperate for OL upgrades and I fear the defensive minds at OBD just haven't figured that out. I think it will be a luxury pick unfortunately.
  18. I'll be more upset if they overpay Oliver like they did with Star and more recently with McGovern.
  19. I'm not holding my breath. He'd probably like a trade to KC even more and now that AR is headed to NY, I'm guessing the Jets are back in consideration.
  20. It happens to me a lot because I spend a lot of time in the Philippines. I watch the games after completion on the internet.
  21. I really think strengthening our OL would pay big dividends and since there aren't any MLB's with a 1st round grade, one of several OT's would be my preference, followed by LB or WR/TE.
  22. Our OL still sucks really bad. I would love it if our first 2 picks were RT and G then sign Hopkins and an average FA MLB. We could still add depth at a number of other positions that were exposed last year as much weaker than casual observers thought. Also, how are our DE's any better with Von still on the mend? It's the same guys. I'd also like to add a FA blocking TE with soft hands to compliment the current group. I really think Beane is greatly overestimating our OL. None of the guys he's signed are any good. There is a serious shortage of blocking ability in that group. They could well be our Achilles heel -- especially against good DL's. We got hammered pretty good by injuries last year. I think a lot of guys weren't 100%. Also, I'm not worried about Dawkins. He's good, but not great and by far our best OL. We'll have to wait and see, but he's not a real concern to me. Brown, on the other hand, scares me a lot.
  23. I'm really down for a big OL upgrade even if we have to trade up to get it. Darnell Wright is my guy and I'll even double down on Jawand Jones in the 2nd to be a Guard at the next level. Sign an average MLB and Hopkins and Let's get after it! We'd probably have to trade away every other pick to make that happen and I think I have a better chance of getting hit by lightning. A fella can dream, can't he?
  24. I will be extremely disappointed if the Bills draft a WR before an OT since OT, not WR, is our biggest need and there are no MLB's worth the 27th pick.
