  1. I like the focus on the trenches, but no CB until round 6 doesn't begin to address the problem there. I just hope Beane has another move up his sleeve. We are in very serious trouble if Trae'Davious goes down. As our CB2, Wallace is well below average for a starting NFL CB and it's downhill from there. I don't know that I expect this rookie class to do much for us for another year or so.
  2. I agree OP, but the dropoff in talent at CB after White still needs to be addressed regardless. CB is clearly a very important position in today's NFL aerial circus. We were too soft in the trenches too and that has been addressed. I seriously doubt we'll find our CB2 upgrade on day 3, so unless we unload another veteran to land a FA CB this Summer, we'll get to watch Wallace getting burned yet again.
  3. I didn't think Josh could ever fix his poor accuracy b'gosh. I've never seen a QB make such a complete turnaround and I've never been happier to be proven wrong.
  4. The Jets can't get any worse and the Pats and Dolphins added talent. I don't know how Saleh will fare in NY, but the Bills, Pats and Dolphins are well coached. I think this could be a real dog fight for years to come.
  5. Foghorn Leghorn would be a good coach, but... What's his 40 time? Does he even have hands?
  6. I'm not saying GR will be the next Aaron Donald, but Maybin? How is that comparison valid so soon?
  7. I would have preferred a CB, but I still like it. Rousseau is a high risk, high reward pick, so I guess they just wanted to double down. Epinesa had a weak rookie campaign too. DE is probably the most important position after QB. It could have been worse.
  8. Got this one right. I've thought all along that we are too soft in the trenches. We still need an upgrade at CB2, but at least we focused on the top priority.
  9. So we're trading for a CB2 then? Or are we just going to watch Wallace getting torched again in 2021? I don't imagine we'll find what we need in the 3rd unless we get very lucky. This needs to be Beane's best draft if we're going to take the next step. Other than Allen, Singletary and Davis he hasn't gotten good value in the draft. The high picks like Oliver and Edmunds have played OK at times, but I wouldn't take either one if I had a do-over. Ford was an even worse value. He's been awful. Maybe these 2 rookie DE's will both turn out great. I sure hope so.
  10. Clearly the CB2 spot is our biggest need by far. The drop off in talent after White is enormous. Just to give you an idea, White's Madden rating (Yeah, I know.) is 92. Wallace is 76. We'll have to address this sooner or later. I don't know if any remaining CB's in this draft class are any good, but I'll be very disappointed if we start Wallace again at such an important position.
  11. So we're already hating on him? I thought it was a great pick.
  12. This means absolutely nothing. If you draft a different person, you get a different person that sinks or swims on his own merit. The rest is coincidence.
  13. At 266, he'll clearly play DE, but what to do at DE now? Hughes is clearly the best DE on the roster and Edge guys often play effectively well into their 30's. Epenesa might turn out OK, but hasn't played well so far. Rousseau could be a project with his limited experience. I very seriously doubt they'll move him inside. Love his ceiling too. He had something like 19.5 TFL and 15.5 sacks in his last full season. That's an insane 35 tackles behind the LOS! He's also played WR and S which tells me he has a good skill set. This also addresses our biggest need. So far, so good.
  14. I will be SERIOUSLY disappointed if Beane does this while our obviously far greater needs on the DL, G and CB go unmet. Beane has yet to draft anyone in the 2nd round who is worth a ____ . At least he drafted Singletary in the 3rd and Davis in the 4th. Still, we're a couple of probowlers away from winning a SB, but so far we've basically just resigned our own. Wasting a 1st rounder on a RB does little or nothing to improve our chances. Well, that's my take, but I know some of you would like this move. Whoever they draft, I hope they turn out to be great.
  15. That goes double for Edmunds and Oliver. They were 1st round picks. As such, they should not be using the excuse that they need to have a better 1-Tech or DE's to play better. They should be the ones elevating the performance of the people around them.
  16. CB2. If TW gets hurt, we're in trouble.
  17. WOW!!! I don't bet, but that prediction is so stupid, it's funny.
  18. I consider pass rush, CB and the OL to be at least as important as 1-Tech as far as 'needs' are concerned, though I bet we'll be soon hearing about some of the players who took the year off are reporting out of shape. Will Star be one of them? He was great as a rookie, but his performance has been dropping every year since. I still say we need to use our top 2 picks on CB and Pass Rush though. It really shouldn't be hard to find a guy better than Lotulelei in round 3 or 4. Star is just a backup caliber player at this point. I can't imagine anyone offering him even $4 mill/yr at this point.
  19. Phil Villapiano for obvious reasons.
  20. Or you simply start your 5 best OL even if that means moving a less mobile OT inside to G.
  21. By having no loyalty to their fans. I don't like owners that abandon a fan base doing its best to support the team. The Davis family comes to mind.
  22. The Bills should have kept Lamonica and traded Kemp.
  23. It would be very easy to find an upgrade at LG if Ford doesn't take a big step this year. There are many that can play LG better than Ford did in 2020.
  24. No one should be upset about anyone avoiding risk to themselves, loved ones and fans. That's true if the player is healthy or not.
  25. Ah yes they were. I guess you're too young to remember HC Harvey Johnson. I could gp on.
