  1. He doesn't. He makes an average of $14.4 million per year.
  2. And this discussion has nothing to do with legality. We are talking about fans choosing not to root for the Browns because of what they believe their new QB has done. They are fully justified for that. Look up the definition of "determine" and you will find that is exactly what it is.
  3. Determining guilt is also something that each individual person does on a daily basis. Nobody is precluded from determining guilt in whatever matters they choose. They just don't have the power to do anything about it.
  4. Anyone can determine guilt. Only a court can punish someone for guilt, so a court is held to a higher standard.
  5. It actually does not apply to society at all. It ONLY applies to courts. It has only ever applied to courts. You can choose to apply that same standard to yourself if you want, but society is not required to take that stance. Browns fans are fully entitled and justified to believe the 20+ women who are accusing him. And it obviously makes everyone wonder if Watson would be treated the same way by the courts if he wasn't a rich and famous sports figure. Joe down the street maybe gets indicted. And if you are going to claim that the rich and famous and elites of this world are not treated differently by the courts, we are just going to have to agree to disagree.
  6. He is not a backup, he is our starter. If he leaves that is one more hole we need to fill. When he stepped into the lineup it is the best our oline has looked in years. People can be excited about the team and the new players and still be concerned that we are potentially losing a quality offensive lineman. I've been pounding the table for Bates to have more playing time for a couple of years now. He is a good player. If he leaves, he'll be a starter in this league for a long time. If you don't believe that, fine, but the fact that multiple teams are interested in him shows that he isn't just some backup caliber JAG.
  7. Browns fans aren't a court of law and don't need to presume innocence until proven guilty.
  8. My educated guess is that he was thinking about something. Best I can do.
  9. Yeah, a lot of them referenced Big Ben and how they continually bashed the Steelers for that, so now that their team has an even worse situation they can't be hypocritical and just accept it.
  10. I saw some of this on Reddit. Tons of Browns fans were posting about becoming Bills fans and their disgust with the Browns for trading for Watson. I think, in particular, any female Browns fans will be inclined to leave the team. Tough to root for a serial sexual predator.
  11. The Bills are sure to bring in a vet or two at CB, plus draft one. We'll be ok. But it is the by far the biggest hole on the team right now. Luckily, there is plenty of time to address it.
  12. Seriously.
  13. The Bills will soundly win the division and contend for the 1 seed.
  14. He can drop passes for them now.
  15. I said 8 to 10. I think he will be playing a lot fewer snaps for the Bills during the regular season than he had been playing for previous teams. The Bills will want to keep him healthy for the playoffs.
  16. They are overrated for sure.
  17. Texans are morons and trade him within the conference?
  18. Because of the extra game, I'll say over.
  19. Yep, he is going to command at least $18 million per year plus.
  20. Whatever he is technically listed as, he will be an edge rusher.
  21. Sure. I don't think Star has had his heart in it either, though. And ultimately, it is up to the player to perform and be available. Prove that you are worth the contract you negotiated. Star did not do that. Yes, it was a bad contract, though. The Bills were still a poor team and felt like they needed to overpay to get Star here to be a part of that rebuild, to be an anchor on the dline. We are past that as a team, now.
  22. Star opted out for a year. He then held out till the end of training camp. He has had multiple injuries and illnesses and hasn't been available. He has also been a healthy inactive a couple times, and even when he played his snap counts diminished. I don't think Beane and McDermott are too excited by him being on the team anymore. Yes, I am guessing. But they just went out and signed three defensive tackles. And they have drafted a couple since he has been here too. They've clearly been trying to upgrade for awhile and now have finally done it. We can expect him to be cut.
  23. I think the linebackers will benefit a lot too.
  24. Has Rodgers started a new juice cleanse in protest yet?
  25. That's just not the case. They do have inside information on a lot of teams. The Bills just aren't one of those, apparently.
